The dive ship is stocked with gear and the staff was helpful; the staff runs a tight ship so make sure to watch the safety video! There's a basic bath house with simple showers and places to change. The real delight was the diving area itself!! It was great diving among the friendly fish, underwater basketball court, sunken schoolbus, ship and helicopter wrecks, and helpful training platforms. It's no luxury shower, it's a camp shower, and does the job. The features underwater are entertaining and make diving in a quarry fun. I mean, basketball with a bowling ball!?!? Loved it! Just got back from a long tough but rewarding experience this weekend. I have wanted to learn to…read morescuba dive for several years and finally took the plunge (no pun intended). I signed up with Chesapeake Bay Dive Center and it was the best thing I have ever done. The instructors are amazing the staff is unbelievably knowledgeable and friendly and the owners are some of the best people you'll ever meet. Instructor Mike taught us all the classroom and Pool portions step-by-step then we were joined at the lake by instructor Sam. Between the two instructors we felt safe and knew we were learning everything we need to know to become competent divers. I highly recommend the shop if you want to learn to scuba dive.

I didn't fully appreciate his small class sizes and drilling on the basics at the time. The skills I learned from Narq'd have helped keep me safe and kept me diving when the divers trained at other schools were benched by the charter captain.
