Do not trust anything they say that isn't 100% in a signed contract. They're unreliable. I bought a 2023 Kia Telluride X-Pro Prestige over the phone and they didn't have the decency to point out that it didn't come with floor mats (in a $60k car after taxes etc.). Upon inspecting the car at delivery I called my sales rep Douglas Garner who promised to get me floor mats at a modest discount and then didn't follow-through and stopped responding to me. read more

I purchased my used Kia optima here 2 years ago. I was told I could assume the factory 100,000 warranty but that was a lie. When I arrived at the dealership to see it, to my surprise, there were large scratches on the passenger doors. I spoke to the salesman several times before but they failed to mention that until after I got there. They were so nice in telling me why they deceived me about the appearance of the car and the warranty. They gave me a good deal on the car just to get rid of it and I continued to bring it here for service and recalls. it was further away than another dealership but I took it there since I purchased the car there. Recently I needed my oil changed and had a recall so I took it back. Also needed an inspection and they came back and told me that my tires were .02 inches less below what the limit is. .02 !!!! That's about 1/64th of an inch or 1/2 mm!! At the same time, They quickly showed me a quote for new tires and said I had till the end of the month to get it reinspected and I wouldn't have to pay the full inspection fee. I told the tech I would not buy tires here and you won't see me here again, I didn't care if I did lose $23. Talked to my guy Tim at Greensboro Tire and he gave me a much better deal on better tires and reinspected my car for free. read more

He will only talk to men and will not negotiate or talk to a woman unless her husband is there. I bought a brand new wagoneer. They messed up the paperwork and I had to bring my car back for a detail because they couldn't get to it.. when the detail guy was just being lazy. I'm having issues with my car and they said bring it in and drop it off for 2 days and then we can get you a loaner! Sounds great! Good thing I don't have kids to haul around. Bait and switch. They advertised a 2019 Optima S at a good price, but it was "totalled during a test drive". I was told this the night before I travelled there. They advised there was another one with the same options at the same price. After travelling three hours I was told there were no more 2019 S models available, and it must have been a misunderstanding. I was then steered towards the 2020 models. The night before I had the person on the phone repeat to me that there was another one available so this is clearly a bait and switch tactic. This occurred on 12/21/19 and today, 12/26/19, I checked their website, and the 2019 is still listed as for sale with a price reduction as of 12/24/19. How can this be if it was totalled 12/20/19. read more

I know it doesn't mean much, but I will never use this place again due to their complete disregard for the customer. It may be one or two employees, but those employees represent the company and are only following protocol/culture of the organization. They initiated contact with me due to a previous inquiry I made and that was fine. I looked at inventory and chose a specific car I was interested in. Funds and credit makes my options limited so didn't want to waste their or my time. I acknowledge that now and when I first spoke with them. I asked them to let me know if deal wouldn't be possible (submitted credit, etc) and to let me know if car is sold. The dealer is an one hour drive, so didn't want to make a 2 hour round trip for known bad news. Every time I interacted, I made the same inquiry. Credit feasible? Car still there? I was assured and planned to go see the car. So...snow "storm" hits on the day of appt. On top of the long drive, I have to make the choice to drive in winter conditions. As shown on website, this was a great car for teen driver, so we made the decision to do it...AFTER I interacted with employee and was never told THE CAR WAS SOLD THE DAY PRIOR. Not only was the car sold, but there was an issue with the car and it was sold to a wholesaler. THEY NEVER INTENDED TO SELL CAR TO PUBLIC because it hadn't passed their inspection. The implication is that no one ever checked to make sure the car was available. The number of times that I asked, never did they check. They just led me along to get me in the building even though I clearly referenced the 2 hour drive just to visit and winter weather advisory for road conditions. I never really spoke to a floor sales rep, but the protocol to herd ppl through the doors without any regard for the customer (when the needs are clearly stated as in my case) and borderline if not actual misrepresentation (car was advertised on website, but actually available for sale) is not a root issue. They are symptoms of a greater issue. To be fair, they did listen on the floor and didn't try to defend themselves. They let me say my piece when I realized what happened, but there are too many options to buy used cars to settle. Do not trust their Internet sales or phone calls. They will tell you (or not tell you) whatever to get you in the door. read more

These clowns set up an appointment for me to come down and try out a very nice used Mercedes Benz that has been on their lot since last October if not longer. I show up on time and these idiots don't even have a clue where the car is. It was stressed that time was pressed today and they guaranteed I would he out the door in 15 minutes. 45 minutes later and my time wasted I had to finally leave this substandard dealership. I wait outside for my salesman who has just told me he will be out as soon as he gets a key. They try to investigate and their "salesperson" Desi Broadnax has to be found when I return inside after several minutes. To find him sitting as his desk with customers. Well done Desi. Just a heads up try this line. "I am sorry Ms. Smith I am currently with a customer so I will have to get back with you in a moment or let me get you to another associate to help you." Its really not that hard. No wonder the car is still there, apparently these clowns don't know how to run a business. The whole time Desi is complaining about how general managers have recently been replaced and other salespeople are so irresponsible. All the while not making the connection that this was his deal and I was his customer. Its up to you buddy to pull the keys and have them ready for me. The blame is with you and I find your lack of respect for my time is offensive. Almost as offensive as you trying to stall me while staring at a computer and pushing a key ever minute or so. This was my first experience with Tri-City Kia. I knew that my employer always bought and purchased locally at Tri-City. Dropping him off at work he mentioned a vehicle he'd seen on the lot, so I told him we'd stop by after work. I was very apprehensive at first, not knowing anyone at the dealership and pretty sure the vehicle wasn't in our price range. However, upon getting out of the car, even though Ike Williams was finishing up with someone, he still made eye contact and smiled and I immediately felt at ease. My son mentioned the car he was interested in and the price range he needed, and Ike says "Come on in and let's see if we can't make that happen"! I can't say enough about Ike Williams as our sales contact. (even though "salesman" never comes to mind when speaking with him) He was outstanding; honest, sincere and all around great guy! No slick sales gimmicks, no pressure, no attempts at manipulative ploys. Just great, accommodating customer service. It sounds like a cliche, but within 20 minutes we felt we'd known him forever. We ended up purchasing the vehicle my son was interested in, for the price range he requested. No hassles. Ike Williams went above and beyond producing the car fax report and knew the history of the owner. He was able to locate original service records which confirmed the car had been taken care of... Unbelievable! Gave us complete peace of mind, which we all know, is close to priceless. " The GM, Chuck also stopped in and chatted to make sure we felt at ease....AND last but not least....Mallory Malloy, who manages all the paperwork/financing, provided the best customer service I've EVER received. Being in customer service all my life, it was nice to be treated like I always try to treat folks!! She went above and beyond, working on the insurance to make sure we could take it home that night, and she and Ike both stayed past closing because they knew my son needed a car to drive to work the next day!! I have always purchased my vehicles in Greensboro, (thinking bigger location meant you get a better deal/treatment) but there is something to be said for shopping local and knowing that the dealer is going to treat you with respect and be true to their word! I urge you if you are in the area, or need to purchase a vehicle, please make sure to stop by Tri-City Kia/Dodge and ask for Mr. Ike Williams. You will be glad you did!!! read more

If you're here to get any service done, find another Kia dealership. I'm going on my honeymoon, and my husband is driving his car. Went here to get an oil change, tire rotation, and asked them to check the tire pressure. First off, we told them to put 5w20 full synthetic, they charged us for a cheaper oil that they had put in the car. Had to go back and have another oil change with the correct oil added this tome. Mind you, this was two days before our honeymoon, and more than enough time to get everything done. On the day of our honeymoon, went went to Sheetz to fill the tank up with gas, and decided to check the tire pressure. The front left tire had 19 psi in it, and we should have been 33. The rest of them didn't have 33, but one did have 32. Found out, that even thoug we told them to do a tire rotation, they did not. We didn't pay for a tire rotation either. We had also told them to do whatever they needed to find a rattle that was happening in the car, and they did not even attempt to do that. Instead, they told us that they would have to charge for a diagnostic to find the rattle, after being told to do whatever needed to be done to find it. I would give less than one star, if possible. read more

I had a reasonable experience in store, but was disappointed in two aspects. One, I had already provided my trade-in vehicle info (including VIN) well before arriving, but the salesman still tried to offer me $2000 less for my vehicle than we had already discussed prior to my visit. He claimed that he hadn't known about the vehicle's history until I arrived, even though he had collected the VIN so that he could run a CARFAX prior. Second, I was given a $350 allowance at the sale to cover the missing spare tire and wheel. It has now been more than 3 months since my purchase, and Tri City still has not provided me the wheel and tire specified in the contract. I have called multiple times, and twice have been told to call back at a time when the "appropriate" employee will be available. read more

My jeep had a slight issue with the tailgate. It's still under warranty so I carried it to Tri City Jeep. Big Mistake. First off the service department acted like they had no time to look at when they had 4 techs just standing around saying that they were getting ready to do something else and could not look at my jeep. So I decided to go outside and ask a salesman a simple question. He was an older taller salesman with greyish white hair. He was just talking to another salesman outside and when I asked the question he told me was helping a customer and went inside and waited until i left to come back outside. Not helping a customer. So I moved on to the next salesman who was a heavier set bald saleman and asked him If i could just simply look at the tailgate of another jeep to see if there was a rubber piece missing from the latch just out of curiosity. He explained to me that he works on commission and could not help me because he could miss a sale. by the way, it was pouring down rain and there were no customers there looking at cars the entire time i was talking to this guy. I explained I only needed 30 seconds just to look. He told me no and had attitude about everything I was asking. Apparently once a customer at Tri City = Never a customer once you need help. I highly recommend anybody to go somewhere else to get their car serviced if you were a victim of this place and to never buy a car here. I spoke with 5 people there that day and nobody could help me and they all had poor attitudes. I will be praying for these individuals to find Jesus but in the meantime, stay away from TriCity. Bottom-line, I would give them negative 5 stars if I could. read more
