Solid entertainment. From the concessions to the zambonies to winger, this is a great place to meet the fellas or to bring the kids.

First, I'm unsure if I should post this review on this page for the Tri-City baseball team or the…read moreGesa Stadium page on Yelp. I'll post it here and rate the stadium experience on the Gesa Stadium page. So, I was assigned a work assignment that took me to Kennewick, Washington, for a client meeting. On Monday, July 1, I decided to visit Gesa Stadium for the game with the Tri-City Dust Devils versus Spokane. I am Deaf, and when I went to the ticket window, of course, I didn't expect the ticket agent to know American Sign Language (ASL), and I said, "I am Deaf. I need one ticket for tonight's game." Without hesitation, the ticket agent pulled out his phone and started typing. Within a few seconds, he pressed his phone against the window. It read, "Not a problem. Don't worry, I've got you." He made the experience easy for me, and I thanked him profusely. I wish I had taken the time to get his name. Next, I visited their team store, which is small but the average size for most Single-A clubs. A few exceptions exist, but those teams are in heavily populated cities. Still, the Dust Devils have everything you need, from hats to shirts to lanyards--you name it. Most importantly, when I was there, Tammy was working in the store, and she was incredibly friendly and took the time to converse about the team's history and the different themes: Columbia River Rooster Tails and the Vinaròs de Tri-City. That evening, the Dust Devils were very competitive and played their hearts out. They did, and that's precisely why I prefer Minor League Baseball (MILB) over Major League Baseball (MLB); it's not so much about teams with big budgets like the NY Yankees, LA Dodgers, etc; with MILB, it's more about the passion, love, and the need to make it to the next level of the game. Finally, everyone at the stadium was welcoming, friendly, and devoted to their home team. It was the highlight of my trip.

Where else can you watch professional baseball for $5? Even better, it's right in the Tricities…read more As far as minor league parks go, it's pretty darned good. The staff are very helpful and enthusiastic, especially Eric the Peanut Guy and the guy that helped me on the phone (wish I had gotten your name). Oh yeah, and fireworks on the weekends. Why only 4 stars if it compares so favorably with other places? They need to find a better way to handle their "will call" window and the ticketing windows in general. Longest wait ever at a will call window. Part of that was the fault of patrons not understanding what a will call window is (didn't already buy/pay for your tickets? you need a different window, buddy). While they can't fix their patrons, they could have posted signs (other windows were functioning as will call windows? would've been nice to know 15 minutes ago).

I wrote another review on the page for the Tri-City Dust Devils baseball team. I'll add that the…read morestadium was accessible. Often, I use a cane to assist me when walking, but I didn't have the need when I went to the game. The concessions were on the first level, and the steps to your seats, whether up or down, weren't narrow. Also, there is plenty of parking for only $5, and it's credit card only, which is typical after the pandemic. Most importantly, if you need a ticket, you just walk up to the window. As I mentioned in the other write-up, I am Deaf. When I went to the ticket window, I didn't expect the ticket agent to know American Sign Language (ASL), and I said, "I am Deaf. I need one ticket for tonight's game." Without hesitation, the ticket agent pulled out his phone and started typing. Within a few seconds, he pressed his phone against the window. Overall, the ballpark is wonderful for a game -zero complaints from me.

1.- Very disappointed to say the least. Stadium is not friendly for people who want to walk there…read moreand not drive a car. Fenced in in a way that only if you drive and if you park close to the door you can get there quickly. 2.- I came with my parents and they have strict food restrictions because of their age. They can't have any seed or inflammatory oils and processed food. Usually at any stadium around this country, we carry a small sandwich bag with their curated snacks. This is the only stadium where they didn't allow us to bring their special food in. Even Yankee stadium allows that. Common sense should prevail. We drove from seattle to this stadium to watch the game, of course saving money and not buying snacks inside the stadium was not our goal. 3.- We sat right behind the VIP section on the visitor's side. It should actually be called the beer garden. It smelled like we were sitting at a bar. Even with that, no problem, these are adults drinking. They don't watch the game, they have full on hours of conversations with their drinking peers. We were so distracted by their noise and lack of interest in the game. Okay even then, they are adults, we are all adults consenting to be at that place. This is the problem, lots of little kids placed in this "VIP" section. Running around and participating in what is close to a bar setting. Truly disgusting, adults are having adult conversations and drinking lots of alcohol and the kids are subject to be in this environment, there is a reason why kids are not allowed in bars. We go to a lot of stadiums and love baseball. I don't plan on coming back. The baseball spirit is definitely not there. I feel so sorry for the kids that grow up around this kind of environment and this kind of people. Before I forget, they have lots of rules and lots of regulations. Kids can't touch the rails seems like it. Plenty of people with their red polo shirts, not taking care of the kids or the people, mostly just taking care of the stadium to not get sued. Because if they really cared about anything else. They would stop the disgusting picture of little kids being in an enclosed place that stinks like alcohol and carries on as a bar. Don't go there if you can avoid it.
