They did not mention this issue. I paid for the repairs, expecting I could park this thing like a normal person would and the key would come out of the ignition, like it always did before I took it to the shop. That was not the end result that I got. I'm giving them two stars because the vehicle is usable, but now has this quirky way of having to put it into park. That doesn't seem like a satisfactory fix for a car repair shop, but that's just my opinion. They told me after the fact that it's a shifter lever problem causing this, and that would be a really expensive fix, but I wasn't told about this specific piece until I took it back after they "fixed" it. I expected the vehicle to work the way it worked before the cable broke and I took it to the shop. That's what fixing means, but instead while it now will shift, it now has a new issue that it didn't have before. They even acknowledged that one of them repairmen in there could never put it in park the right way that it would release the key. They spend all day messing with it yesterday, just to land on "let's show him the special way to get it in park." Unimpressed to say the least. My opinions on pricing could be off base, but I will share the receipt and let you make judgments for yourself.

Instead, Montway arrived with an open trailer without disclosing this beforehand, transported the vehicle to New Jersey, and left it at a facility for 8 days!!!--something we were also never told would happen. Communication throughout the process was astonishingly terrible given their reviews online. We later learned from the supervisor Lily that the original carrier had missed the pickup, yet Montway never notified us. I repeatedly requested updates and calls from supervisors that never came. The supervisor Lily ultimately acknowledged that mistakes had been made and that we had been misled regarding both the transportation arrangements and delivery timeframe. She also acknowledged that she was going to do everything in her power to assist in a refund, but the vehicle would need to be delivered first; which made zero sense. The vehicle was finally delivered on September 14, nearly three weeks after booking. After delivery, Lily with Montway told us she was working on a 50% refund, despite everything that occurred. They ultimately did not issue even that refund; their offer $100 credit..... and we declined. Lily said, it was the best they could do... The best thing THEY could have done was do the right thing considering the mistake after mistake after mistake they made. Between the undisclosed open transport and storage, significant delays, lack of communication, misleading information, and failure to honor even their proposed partial refund, this was a horrible and unacceptable experience. I would not trust Montway with a high-value vehicle EVER again.

I didn't catch the name of the man who towed my car for me (he had short hair and a beard) but I wanted to give him a genuine thank you. I was physically shaking from shock and fear and he really helped ground me by explaining my towing options and was even kind enough to drop me off at gas station to wait for my boyfriend to come pick me up and lower the tow bed so I could get some things out of my car. He was one of the only people to treat me like a human during the entire post-crash process. When I went to inspect my car later on at their lot they were once again nice enough to let me get a few more things out of my car. I am absolutely heartbroken to have had to part ways with my Scion tC but I can't thank Jensen enough for helping me out in my time of need and offering me a good scrapping deal.
