Most flavorful adobada I have had in a long time! Get the lime ‍ couscous it was delicious and I am not a couscous fan! Worth the extra money trust me! So bright! This taco shop is like a high end Chipotle restaurant but more flavorful and moist. You can even choose a baked potato, a bowl, or tacos and then choose every topping. Very clean. Staff is still learning since they just opened. Outdoor seating. Lots of salsas to choose from. Parking was plentiful when I went at 11am but I'm guessing limited in the evening. The baked potato with carne asada was delicious. The potato was cooked well, and they were very generous with the meat--about three scoops. Everything was great up until that point. I also ordered a container of guacamole with chips, and unfortunately that's where things went downhill. The chips were extremely stale, and the guacamole tasted very strange. I'm not sure if it was made with underripe avocados or if it contained other ingredients, but it has a strong grassy, almost zucchini or tomatillo-like taste that didn't taste like traditional guacamole to me. I would definitely order the baked potato again, but I'll be staying away from the chips read more

wow, where do i start i have been there 3 times the first was the opening . i was the 25th person in the door and they had orders wrong they ran out of rice. 2 time in the food was cold and very small helpings no taste. 3 time in, my chips were good but the carnta potato sucked so bad it was small the meat sucked this is the last time for us until they change the food or get new owners. sorry but the food is nasty and and it is way over price. we sat out side and ate and at least 3 people walked by and told us the same thing we knew and they said they woll never come back . we had a family of 5 we spent $70.00. and after we were done we put more than half in the trash can. and on the way home we stopped at jack in the box because we were still hungery. read more

3 Stars but definitely minor tweaks to be made. Chipotle Clone, yes, but different flavor. Live nearby I'm the guy same order all the time Chicken Burrito and Chips. So after a decade or two in the Culinary Business hear some feedback out. The Filet has got to go highest price point and I'll guess doesn't sell much. Gimme a Fish taco any day and I'm there, seriously either battered or grilled price point more in line with the rest of your menu. Next lettuce, biggest challenge keeping it fresh. Been here 3 times in one week, it's been wilted badly. If it's brown, soggy looking, and been there more than 2 days throw it out. One wilted piece will ruin a whole 1/3 pan cambro. Needs to look fresh, crisp and appetizing. Romaine will always be harder to maintain. Put paper towel underneath it and store with paper towel on top will keep excess moisture out and that's what causes romaine to go bad fast. I really enjoyed the regular pork, shredded not so much a bit heavy on salt in your recipe. Reason being reheating will dry out the pork and intensify the saltiness. Leave more juice in the shredded pork. I really want to love the Asada but it just tastes like gas, those shops have gas piping so I know your grill is Gas. Check the valve settings to see if the mix is off or the recipe something is making it taste off just a little. Your Staff is amazing, super friendly, hospitable, and welcoming every time they are awesome!!!! When Taco Lounge left and we found out it was another taco shop, eye roll not another one, but you have a good location. Plenty of foot traffic and that park is always packed afternoons and weekends. The concept is good albeit a clone, but the food and service is really the key. Service again is phenomenal but think what do you do/have that chipotle doesn't, btw the chips are actually fire love them. Very happy to try 323 here in Chula. Ordering was simple, and as another reviewer mentioned, much like Chipotle. I got the bowl with quinoa, black beans, adobada, and veggie fixings. I wasn't too crazy about the meat, kind of grossed me out a bit because some pieces were just fat and no meat. The flavor of everything else, including the salsa, yum! I will definitely give this place another go. Probably avoid the protein all together, but do love the rest of it. The market for Mexican tacos is so saturated, especially in Chula Vista, that you have to be outstanding in order to stand out. The concept at Tres Dos Tres is unique. It's kinda like Chipotle meets street tacos. For me, it's a little much. Having to make a bunch of decisions when all I want is a great tasting taco creates indecision. You even have to choose your salsa for the server to put in each taco where I like to have a bunch of different salsas at a salsa bar and I change it up per bite - but that's just me. I'll even take whatever salsa is standard and the server make the choice for me. As far as flavor, I tried pretty much all of their meats and nothing in particular stood out. Ok where to start unpacking here. So this place was advertised as being like Tj tacos and abuelita approved. Let me tell you, as someone born and raised in Tijuana, this ain't it. This is set up like a chipotle with less options. First let's start with the layout. You have 4 options: taco plate, burrito, potato or a bowl. There's nothing authentic about a potato or a bowl. Let's get that out of the way. Once you choose what you like you pick your protein, for the taco you have the option of corn or flour tortilla. An authentic taco is ALWAYS on a corn tortilla. Chose the corn, the tortillas are not fresh, they taste like bought at the store. They have a warmer they put them on that doesn't really warm them up at all. Then you choose your protein, we chose the carne asada, the meat was not true carne asada, it wasn't chopped enough either and the flavor was very generic, bland. Then you choose your sides, we chose the rice and beans. The rice is very bland and dry. The beans were supposed to be like frijoles de olla but they call them brown beans they also had no flavor. Then the toppings. Guac was extra $2.50. Anyone knows guac is part of a taco, I have yet to go to a Mexican restaurant that charges extra for guac. It was ok I guess but it took the price of two tacos from $12 to $15 with tax. The cilantro and cebolla amounts were tiny pinches I want to point out the portions, this is like kid sized meals. They measure everything with these little scoops, I know the economy isn't the best but these prices are super inflated for what you get. Our tacos were cold and the rice and beans were barely lukewarm. Every business should strive to do better and I hope this will help make it better because the food was very disappointing. I will say the customer service was good, all I saw was teenagers doing a really good job, surely for what they're instructed to do so I don't blame them. And bravo to their parents because they were awesome! Now to the owners, look, this is a heavy Mexican populated area and we know what food should taste like, even non Mexicans know this isn't it. Add more sazon to the food, make it real portions, use fresh tortillas, I'm sure the community will support you. But by hiding reviews and fluffing up what isn't is just going to drive customers away. You can hide reviews but the community talks. If I served this to my grandmother, I'd be in trouble. **​The Atmosphere & Setup** The moment you walk in, the vibe is off. There's no taquero, no trompo, and no grill in sight. The layout is structured exactly like a Subway assembly line. Because the cooking area isn't visible, it leaves you questioning the freshness of the preparation. **​The Food** The menu is broken down into four main combos: ​Tacos: The tortillas are clearly not handmade. They harden almost instantly; by the time you sit down, your taco has essentially become a tostada. ​323 Papa: This was the one saving grace. The potato was a decent size and actually tasted good. ​Bowl: Likely the best value here as it is well-portioned. ​Burrito: The tortilla is fine, but it's hard to justify the price point. **​Quality & Price** The biggest issue is the meat. Waited months for this place to open up and I was completely let down! The food was lacking flavor, meat was cold, and store bought tortillas. Literally the worst tacos! The portion size depends on what time of day, who serves you or if you work at Eastlake High and have that $3 coupon I'm dissapointed in ALL 3 owners (Adrian, Dave Roberts & Josue) for removing google reviews and pushing this "Abuelitas recipes and approved" nonsense. This is NOT what my abuelita would approve and definitely not TJ style tacos! I appreciate the business / franchise model - hire local teens, pay them minimum wage and charge $1.40 for guacamole per taco & give back to the community (tax break)! I understand Adrian's friends and owners of Taco Lounge (Roberto Mercado & Ruben Jimenez) let him take over the space but this is a huge dissapointment for the community who supported Taco Lounge! 2 stars simply because the hospitality is very friendly and welcoming. Food wise. Oh well. The place is a knockoff of chipotle. Nothing is made from scratch. All is sitting behind a counter. The chicken is dried and by no means grilled or charred broiled. Just like chipotle, the avocado puree, not guacamole, is extra. The burritos begin to fall apart from the moment they wrap them. By the time they're eaten all has to be scooped from the plate. It's brighter than its predecessor, taco lounge, and the outdoor sitting is decent. The entire menu has to be restructured or else the place is not going to last. A frilly needs to be installed so they can cook orders from scratch. read more

And don't try to sell this as TJ style because it's not even close. Worse mexican food I've had in Chula Vista and all of San Diego. Chipotle is more authentic than this. I got a carne asada burrito which was smaller than a Taco Bell burrito. Asada had no flavor, rice had no flavor, and tortilla was hard. Wife got a bowl and was trying to be optimistic, but was extremely disappointed as well. I was really looking forward to coming to this new taco shop. Mainly hoping to have delicious tacos near me and not have to go to the west side of Chula Vista. It was literally a knockoff of chipotle. The meats were cold (asada and pollo) I asked for beans and she gave be the juice and about 10 beans and I asked her are you going to go get more beans from the back and she responded I can give you black beans since we already put pinto beans . I didn't want to be rude and have her go get more or give me a new bowl, so I just accepted the black beans. It comes with tortillas, I asked for flour ones, and they were given to me undercooked. Then she asks would you like guac and of course I would, since to me everything Mexican taco style needs guac! Only to be given a spoonful! Ughhh! Well anyways I don't think we will be back, maybe for the chips (which are the best thing) Sorry I hope with time they make their meats hot, heat their flour tortillas longer and they give more guac jejeje!
