Mary Silver was our agent, but the "Team" is what made our transaction so easy and comfortable. This concept of experts in all the required fields of real estate transactions is what differentiates them from many other Real Estate companies. Everyone at D&TNB is interested in making you a part of their extended Team, because they know what customers say to their friends is extremely important. Mary helped us negotiate and led us through the process patiently, no matter how many questions we had! We really like that everyone from the pleasant and professional voice at the office phone number, to the friendly and helpful staff in the office, are there to solve your real estate challenges and make the process as smooth as possible, with no surprises. No hard sell, no pushy people, just smiles and helpfulness. You can tell they don't want a customer for one transaction. They're in it for the long haul!

She was patient with us as we learned the area and narrowed down our wants/needs for our home. She put us at ease when homes we liked went off the market sooner than we could put in an offer. Then when we found our home she confidently represented us as she negotiated with the sellers. Because of her and the KW team, we now have our first home. We are so excited and relieved.

She can be…read morearrogant and was very rude to people that we needed to help us close on our house; like the home inspector and a repair guy. They had to put up with her sending them rude texts because she didn't think they were working fast enough. She did not behave that way to us, but as a home buyer, you count on your agent to help things go as smoothly as possible, even if things are delayed a little. The goal is to buy the house, not make people mad and insult them. We did close on the home, but I would NOT recommend her to anyone; listing or buying a home. There are other agents that are much more professional and cordial who will work to get along with those involved and get things accomplished without insulting people.

Get it in writing by contract or get screwed. Mother purchased a 980 SF manufactured home five…read moreyears ago from Down East Homes and loved it. She upgraded things before and after her purchase. In April, she went into Assisted Living in her hometown in Indiana. To keep her funds under the Medicaid threshold and sell quickly, the house was sold to a third party for $30,500 for payoff and a little left over to help with moving her. Initial purchase price was $75,000. After a week, the buyer realized the house did not meet the wind zone requirements for his county. The situation was explained to Down East Realty and they purchased the house from the buyer for $28,500, then turned around and posted it on Marketplace for $65,000 without the cost of moving the house being included. Once house removed we expected the property to be cleared and cleaned of all debris. After the house was moved, they had left behind the generator, which would have been stolen by an unauthorized party from the site if a neighbor had not intervened and questioned the men present. The mover's people showed up to collect the generator. The house movers said they don't clean up the site, the company (Down East) usually sends a cleaning crew. Down East was texted about the site and the condition it was left in. Down East rep came out and looked at the site and texted "Went to the site last week, only the concrete footer in the ground, that's not something we do!" I asked him about cleaning the site. He stated that "if we had put it in the contract, we would have cleaned up the site." For DOWN EAST Homes, our courtesy to leave the home in place and allowing the additional 6 weeks to move the house meant nothing. Attached are before and after shots.
