Has to order parts. This whole process was going to take close to a month. So I have a brand new chair I won't be able to use for over a month. I asked the customer service rep if they could just replace the chair. They agreed and will bringing a new chair next week. Still very disappointing that there were problems with a brand new chair, but relieved they agreed to a new chair so I don't have to wait so long.

I am in my mid-twenties. I do not drive a BMW. I buy the majority of my wardrobe from Marshall's, so pretty much all last season. I carry a Coach purse, and work three jobs to afford nice things. I needed to pick up a gift for my friend and for my mother's friend. No one offered to help me, which was fine. I was perfectly capable of finding things on my own. I had settled on Vera Bradley blanket and Vera Bradley apron and was waiting to check out. The cashier was quite chatty with the lady in front of me, who was also taking advantage of the Vera sale. The employee offered her gift boxes and gift wrapping and took her time with each item. When it was my turn to check-out, I was prepared to accept the gift wrapping offer and pay whatever the additional fee was, even though I was pretty sure it was free. I mentioned to the cashier that these were both gifts for others, to which she responded "oh, that's nice!" She proceeded to throw my receipt in the bag without asking if I wanted it, and stuff the oversized throw into the too small bag which crushed the tiny Vera box that came with the apron. Located just off Peach Street about 1 1/2 miles from I-90 I found Mel & Tee's easy enough. The front half of the store is mainly a hobby shop, some cool stuff but not what I was looking for. Luckily there is a door to the back of the store which is stuffed with a wide variety of items, collectibles, furniture, home goods and enough to keep you looking for a little while. For me the only item that interested me was a vintage wood stick puppet from Java/Indonesia. The puppet stood out as a very unique and high-quality item, although it did have a bit of damage to one of the hands. The price was about right, but a bit more then I wanted to spend. Luckily I started talking to the very nice lady at the register and she said that they were willing to deal on the item. I made a bid at the lower end of what I thought was fair and she accepted. I ended up getting a great one-of-a-kind item at great price. If you are looking to check out a local thrift store in Erie, Pa. I would suggest giving Mel & Tee's a try, not the biggest place but the fun is finding something you never expected; also really nice when you can negotiate a bit to get what you want.
