Nice restaurant on the water. Service was quick and place wasn't too busy. I recommend!

They are now in Terminus Street surrounded by a number of other restaurants and the quality has dipped a little. These days they make lots of cheap and creamy pasta dishes for people who want quantity over quality. Several owners have run the restaurant during this time. They have veal dishes which you would never hear off in Italy and then there's the pizzas. Thanks goodness they have managed to maintain control over them. They also do a range of seafood dishes. But I must admit, on Saturday its hard to get a table. I guess a lot of people don't care what they eat as long as there is plenty of it. Great for groups and parties.

FOOD Fried scallops with bacon ($15.90) - not a fan, served with sweet chilli sauce which I don't think matched at all. Chilli mussels ($14.90) - underwhelming, not enough chilli bang! Vagu tortellini ($18.90) - good but I was expecting the portion size to be slight larger SERVICE Friendly but forgetful. We ordered a sparkling water and the waiter repeated what we said but brought out tap water. Fail. OVERALL For the quality of food and price you pay I'd say there are better Italian places in the Hills.

I was only told that the cancellation fee would be $10pp if cancelled 7days or less prior to the event. 3 days later (so still more than 2 weeks from the event), I cancelled the booking because a $59.99pp set menu was too high for most of our guests so I cancelled. But according to their policy they still charged me $70 (3%) which I was not informed of until they called to let me know they were charging my account. Genuinely shocked at this policy and the service. Over 2 weeks cancellation and I'm still having to pay for it? Absolutely ridiculous.

We had to be at the concert in Rozelle by 9 pm. We had booked a table at Crinitis for 6:30 pm. We put in the order of our favourite pastas and drinks at 6:45 pm we waited till 7:15 pm and the food hadn't arrived. We asked the waiter.l when we could expect the food as we have to be somewhere which meant we have to be out by 8 pm. He went to check with the chef and returned with the advice that it would be here in 10 minutes. Not thinking about it much my wife and I went back to our conversation as we noticed another couple came and sat next to us and started to put their order in. At 7:30 we see the couple that came half an hour after us were being served their food and ours still hadn't arrived. So we called the waitress and asked her how long we would have to wait for our food. She went in and checked and advised another 10 mins. At around 7:45 we saw a family of 6 who had arrived with us were done with their food and were already leaving. We called the waitress again and asked her if she could get our food to us because we have 15 minutes before we had to leave to make the concert. She checked and came back and said 5 minutes this time. I told her I've heard it 3 times and we still haven't seen our food. She went and told the the head waiter or someone and he shrugged it off like there was nothing he could do. Hence we waited for the 5 minutes we were advised and went over to them and advised we were leaving. They said sure sorry for the trouble. They made us wait over one hour with no food. We went to the concert without having any food and hungry. Ruined the night for us. Thanks Crinitis. For making what was supposed to be our special night, memorable.

Wow $15 for a couple of fried prawns and $10 for a dessert. The special turned out to be a rip off in the end. Each were about $5 over priced. The steak was just ok, I won't bother coming here again. FOOD Shared an entree of sea scallops (seared wild north Atlantic sea scallops with cauliflower puree, almond crunch and herbed bellini - $22). These were absolutely lovely. I liked the almond crunch at the bottom of the scallop. Added some extra carby goodness. The cauliflower puree actually tasted more like a mashed potato as well. A great starting dish. http://www.yelp.com.au/biz_photos/QE6DLVIYmz0XIgdW-xuWOQ?select=ZyAM-2kE0NI4t9uMH1C-Ig We went with a surf and turf combo for the mains. Zuppa Di Pesce (hot pot of king prawns, calamari, fillet of fish, black mussels and balmain bug in a napolatan sauce with a hint of chili servied with linguine pasta - $38) and the Lamb Loin (rosemary and garlic marinated lamb loin on a fetta and roasted vegetable terrine and glaxed with a rosemary infused jus - $36). http://www.yelp.com.au/biz_photos/QE6DLVIYmz0XIgdW-xuWOQ?select=m1MboT0_0EBtCyEXaaIZ7g#m1MboT0_0EBtCyEXaaIZ7g http://www.yelp.com.au/biz_photos/QE6DLVIYmz0XIgdW-xuWOQ?select=ZVHfCsNN0rwpMoc6vZWivA#ZVHfCsNN0rwpMoc6vZWivA I'm usually a very indecisive person but the Zuppa Di Pesce immediately stood out to me. A very full on dish that would leave anyone stuffed. There was a very generous portion of seafood sitting on a base of linguine. If anything I think I would have wanted the 'hint of chili' to have been a bit more than just a hint to add a bit of power to the dish. The lamb was was nicely cooked and soft. However I wasn't a fan of the terrine. It was a strange mix with the lamb. SERVICE When I handed over the credit card the waiter said "thank you senor". ??? Either I have a hearing problem or he was smart enough to know that it wasn't my name on the credit card. Friendly waitstaff who thanked us for coming with their thick Italian accents in unison when we left. OVERALL Nice place, nice vibe, nice food.
