Very nice little motel, rented on the off season, but very worth what my husband and I paid. The…read moreowner was very friendly on chatting with us about what there is to do locally in the winter, and all about what there is to do in the summer (since we're moving here). It's under new management, needs a few repairs, but very, very nice. I would come back here again, or recommend it to anyone who wants a cheap motel stay that isn't too shabby.

We stayed in the condo unit on the end, right on the water. BIGGEST WASTE OF $1300 EVER…read more Customer service is non-existent; management is disorganized and has poor communication. Wifi goes out every ten to fifteen minutes, Management told us to call Internet Service Provider rather than him fixing the problem. Ice cold basement and 80 degree upstairs; Management dismissed this concern. Massive spider problem. I understand that spiders are worse right next to the water but this was an unacceptable level. Management told my Mother In Law to "stop being squeamish". We spent the money ($10 ish?) and time (about an hour) to spray the windows and perimeter of the Condo ourselves and the problem went away. This easily could have, and should have been done by management. Too many other minor problems to name... broken faucets, windows and doors that won't lock, a stove that takes over half an hour to boil water... management blew us off every step of the way. We will not be back, ever. These concerns were brought up AGAIN upon checkout, the deposit was not returned and we were basically told to go screw ourselves.

This was a good find! Only $45/night for one person, even AAA approved! All ground floor rooms…read moreyou can park in front of, cable TV, internet, coffeepot in room, lots of parking, convenient location, easy to find with their bright yellow sign. I didn't interact with the owners much but they were very nice. The room had a frig, phone, clock radio, several outlets available. The bathroom looks brand new. This is a 60's motel that has been owned by two families, over 20 years each. ( http://www.ddimotel.com/history.html) There is an ice machine and pop machine. No pets allowed. I got great cell phone/internet-on-my-phone reception in an area of the state that has been "spotty". The room was small but immaculate with zero smoke smell lingering. It looks freshly repainted. There was a nice mattress that was very comfortable. I was able to plug my cell phone in right next to the bed so I could use it while it charged--yay! There were three different lamps for light, a nice bathtub and shower, a little shelf on the wall next to the bed to keep the TV remote, no nightstand. Shampoo, etc were available. My pictures are kind if yellow-y due to the artificial light but the room was very pretty. I highly, I mean HIGHLY,recommend to others! (102611) 10/28/16--Back again for a night and still very happy with the place, still highly recommended. Price has gone up about $5, par for the motels I've stayed in.

Beds are very comfortable, but pillows could be better as there is only 2 and they are small.. It's also conveniently located right off hwy 23 and only 1 mile from the center of downtown! There's also a convenient store directly across from the motel entrance on the same side of the highway that has a deli with a large menu and a BC Pizza! If you're looking for a quiet and comfy cheap place to stay, then this is definitely the place to go!!

Internet was difficult to join, difficult to maintain and very slow when I did connect. Coffee? no : dishwater. In the lobby, it was literally coming out light brown and transparent. Build in time for a run to Starbucks, almost across the street. Room was okay Dark, but that is what we've sadly come to expect. The ironic thing about that is the chain could easily put in 100 watt equivalent lighting and actually save money by moving to LED technology. One of four desktop power outlets was inoperable. Quiet AC, well appointed bathroom. TV was only slightly difficult to figure out. Coffee maker needs to be upgraded to a Keurig instead of these insipid tray coffee makers with postage stamp bundles of coffee. Have you noticed we like coffee? Years ago - maybe two decades, gas stations finally figured out we like really good coffee and began investing in these fancy bean to cup makers. They are slow, but make great coffee. Time for the "O"tel industry to follow suit. If you will allow me a small rant, it's time for the mainstream hotel industry to start leveling with their customers. We are not saving the planet by hanging up the towels, we are merely saving the chain money on laundry costs. I am not picking on Wyndham - this farce has been perpetrated for years by all kinds of resort industry apologists. If you want to save money on laundry costs, how about a sign stating that I won't be getting fresh towels during my stay, in order to place a larger chunk of the bill into the corporate pockets by reducing laundry costs? It would be a refreshing sign that the resort and hotel industry is finally crediting their clients with some intelligence. Thanks Mike

The free continental breakfast was not as nice as others I've seen. I was hoping for some sweets but there were none. They had pre-made, pre-packaged omelets that I took a pass on.
