Do not to entrust your vacation, or your lives, to these folks. My wife and I rented an RV from…read moreLuxe RV for our honeymoon in November 2020, anticipating a luxury RV for a once in a lifetime trip. Hah! Here's a partial list of what went wrong: * The tires were bald. A gas station attendant pointed this out to us the day after driving to the Grand Canyon. * The day I picked up the RV from Luxe's lot, a break warning light came on as I drove away. I immediately pulled over and phoned Luxe RV. They explained to me that the break warning light first appears thousands of miles before the breaks become unsafe, and he told me how to turn off the warning light. The explanation sounded plausible, and didn't occur to me that someone at Luxe RV might give me bad advice about something as critical as the vehicle's breaks. Wrong! When we replaced the bald tires, we also discovered that two of the break pads were down to 5%. The other two had 10% left. Given our planned itinerary, through Zion National Park and the Wasatch mountain range, we were extremely fortunate to find this out when we did. * When we contacted Luxe RV to inform them of the bald tires and bad breaks, they showed no concern for our safety. They were unapologetic about the time we had to spend off the road. And they refused to cover the cost of the new tires and break pads. They claimed we had been conned by the local gas station. Even when we brought in AAA to confirm the defects, Luxe RV refused to reimburse us. Rather than allowing it to ruin our honeymoon, we paid for new pads and new tires. We had to spend two nights an RV park in southeast Utah, waiting for new break pads. Shout out to the wonderful people at the New Harmony, Utah, service station. If it weren't for them, God knows what might have happened. * The heating system in the RV didn't work. We found this out the third night of our trip, when the temperature dropped to 17 degrees. * One of the windshield wipers didn't work, either. * The retractable steps stopped retracting. * The meter on the black water tank was unreliable. This is a very bad thing in an RV, by the way. * When we showered, a water line leaked into the main cabin. * One of the kitchen drawers fell apart. * The latch on the fridge door was defective. We learned this when we took a curve on the road in northeast Washington, and heard the sound of a dozen eggs flying across the cabin. Actually, we heard the sound of a dozen eggs splatting... Nearly every day brought a new problem, and RV's customer support was pitiful. Eventually we decided it wasn't safe to drive the last 1000 miles of our journey. We parked the vehicle in a safe lot near Bainbridge Island, and informed Luxe RV they would need to retrieve their vehicle. We then rented an SUV, and piled our baleful German Shepherd and as much of our stuff as possible into it, and drove home in cramped safety. The good news is that we managed to have a loving honeymoon in spite of Luxe RV, but I wouldn't want anyone else to go through what we did. I'm writing this review more than two years after the fact. At the time, I just wanted to put the unpleasantness of dealing with Luxe RV behind me. But the thought that by speaking up I might save some other unsuspecting people from a similar experience finally galvanized me to write about it. I hope you heed my warning...

Most importantly the vehicle was maintained improperly. Two lug nuts snapped off during the drive on the same axel next to each other. I'm lucky I did a walk around prior to getting on the road. I also didn't want to rent one of those old RV's with the terrible interiors (you know what I'm talking about) EXPERIENCE Me, the husband, and our dog had a great adventure! He got to do his camping and I got to "glamp" , sleep in a real bed, and take a real shower. The interior was AMAZING, like a hotel room. Also, they stocked it with everything, like a hotel! (sheets, silk filled blankets, pots, pans, toaster, coffee bean grinder!, knife sharpener, wood, chairs, tables, foil, cooking spray, hair dryer..etc..)literally anything you might need, not just the essentials. Our majestic moving toilet was easy to drive, park, and gave us access to views we'd never see in a regular car. With the RV we could get up at the crack of down, drive to a spot in our jammies, watch the sunrise and make breakfast in front of the lake before the crowds arrive. OWNERS Derek and Conrad were the 2nd best part (besides the RV itself), they were always available on the phone when we didn't know how to use something. PRICING Their price is all inclusive, so even though it seems more expensive then like Rent America RV's , in the end its worth it! . There is a deposit on top of the price as well, and though we broke a door and antenna, the repair was only $50 bucks. They are so honest and will not nickle and dime you or charge for BS things (unlike apartment deposits) TLDR - more expensive , but price is all inclusive, unlike other rentals! - the RV's are stocked with EVERYTHING ( you just need to come with your clothes) - RV's are modern and true definition of "glamping" - Derek and Conrad are fantastic host and will ensure you have an amazing time! If you're thinking about it, stop. Just do it! You won't regret it.

They also showed me how to use the heated mattress pad which came in handy during these cold winter nights. Driving the van along the curvy coastline was a breeze. The best part, I think, is that there is no cleaning fee if you bring it to the carwash and vacuumed before returning! On our first visit we met April, who gave us plenty of space to look around without bothering us. When we were ready, she walked around with us, showing us options that met our criteria, and patiently answered all our questions. We weren't ready to buy, and when we communicated that, she understood. A couple of weeks later, after thinking through the different choices, we came back. April was by then on maternity leave, so we worked with Briana, who was equally friendly, knowledgable, and low-key. The transaction was smooth and painless. No last minute charges, no pressure to buy extended warranty (though one was available if we wanted it). We arranged for financing with our credit union, and that was fine, too (no pressure to take financing through the dealer). On the day we arrived for pick-up, they had cleaned and prepped the trailer, and Luis gave us a thorough walk through, making sure we understood how everything worked, from the smart hitch to the a/c to the slide-out & etc. We had been to another, big RV dealership months earlier, and were so traumatized by the high pressure sales tactics and endless (endless!!!) "follow-up" phone calls that we were paranoid about shopping again, but we had heard good things about Family RV, so we took a chance. Glad we did! The office folks continue to try and skew and bend the truth. Side maker lights work was never approved or requested which is documented in email. Damage happened twice on my rig at this shop. Once was covered and fixed, the second damage occurrence, they are denying responsibility. I also paid for all this work far in advance of it being done, in full, which was my mistake, clearly. We are now in small claims court unfortunately due to the company's inability to stand up and do what's right. I think this all started due to the employee we started with Ron who is no longer working there. Originally contacted Family RV to make a 7pin pig tail for our Lance truck camper. That pig tail wasn't done right or something happened to it, intermitent issues with turn signals and brake lights. Decided to take the entire rig in for service to get a new furnace and some electrical work done. New furnace is great, they did work I did not ask for or approve and charged me for it. The rig also was damaged while in their care, exterior was hit and punctured a pretty good hole in the front of the camper. They provided us with a free rental since we had planned to use our RV. That rental's slide out stopped operating at the RV park... They couldn't find the short for the electrical work I asked for... Short story 5800 dollars, a new furnace, repaired damage caused at their shop, the same short, and a new pig tail. We are now in small claims court to get some of the money back for the work that I didn't ask to be done and electrical work that was never identified or fixed. Will definitely not be going back here again.

Do you think these scratches justify 25%? In reality, it's more like 0.1% of the cost. --so how many customers will they do this to? 10? And reap a 250% return on this part? -HIGHLY SUSPICIOUS. They only have one person working on Sunday so I waited over 2.5hrs to make my return. Waited outside their gate for 40mins. Another rented was already waiting. The only person there takes 45mins to do his return inspection. After waiting for near an hour the renters in front of me finally got escorted off the property. Upon inspecting my rentals he pointed out a scratch on my jetski rental. The scratch was pretty superficial. The seadoo sparks are made mostly out of plastic and polytec unlike traditional jetskis that are made of mostly fiberglass. Fiberglass damage needs repairs to prevent more damage to the surrounding fiberglass, however, the plastic and polytec damage does not need to be repaired. The small scratch was the size of a pinky fingernail clipping from a part that was nearly the entire surface of the ski. Basically the area you would stand on. The parts price was quoted at ~$1200. His inspection required me to pay for a 1/4 of the $1200 part and 1/4 of the labor it would be to replace the part. A quarter of the price was ridiculous in my opinion. I asked if he could give me deal and give me 1/10 of the cost for parts and labor. It seemed more reasonable than paying over $300 for a scratch in some polytec/plastic that was likely intended to take some abuse. I was surprised he was even considering that small scratch as damage. It blow my mind that they would do this kind of BS to a customer. By the looks of it, this has happen before. The pictures indicate the part that would be replaced. Again, my scratch was the size of a little fingernail clipping. The part is massive in comparison to the scratch.
