Drove about 60 miles to pick up some tires for a PreCaliber 24; this was the only store that had them in stock in Central Florida. Thankfully, this store was open on Sunday! Additionally, they had several other hard-to-find parts in stock that I was looking for, specific to the PreCaliber. Owen helped us out; great customer service, prompt and polite. Prices in the store are good and as expected for OEM-quality parts. Keep in mind that you're not getting cheap Walmart parts that will soon break or wear out when considering pricing. There ability to fix a flat tire. There twice to get a flat fixed. After first visit ($68) got home and the tire went flat again. Next day took it back ($32). And it was flat again in the morning. Called them instead of making another drive. This is when they told me there must be something wrong. My thought was that I knew that a hundred dollars ago. They thought I should bring it back again. I said I would do something else. So, I took the tire apart, put the tube through a bowl of water. There was no leak I could find. I reassembled the wheel put it on the bike and it has been fine since. I guess what perturbs me is that at 73 I didn't want to deal with the hassle of changing the tube and tire. But then I paid them $100 bucks and I still had to do it myself. I suppose they are nice people but I know they dealt with me poorly. read more

Terrible service, I went in and asked if they could look at why my front brake wouldn't work. They basically threw me out because I had an "off" brand ebike. Didn't even try, when all the parts are the same to the bikes in the showroom. Zero effort to service the community. Don't go to this location for anything, ever. read more

I went to Trek today for a front brake repair. There was no judgment about my bike being older or not fancy. The technician was super efficient and in 15 minutes or less, had my bike fixed for a cost of only $15. I'm a super happy customer and I'll be back. read more

My dad who is 80+ was looking for a tricycle to help him get some exercise riding around in his community. When he went to Trek a week ago, he found and bought the only tricycle they had which was a single gear unit. Unfortunately, after trying to ride the bike, he found himself having issues with various hills in his community and asked me for a solution. I then looked up his bike on Trek website to find out they had one with gears for $100 more. He has since gone back to Trek to be told they won't take the bike back and that they would order the parts to install the gears on his bike for $200 which is $100 more than if he ordered it new. Maybe it is just me, but not the way I would expect a company to operate for an organization that is supposed to have great customer service. read more

Not impressed. Came in for a simple front derailleur adjustment and what I got in return was a skipping rear cassette (yes new chains can cause this on a used cassette but obviously cassette was not inspected pronoun first place) and over inflated tires, rock hard front and rear suspension and a front derailleur that wasn't adjusted properly. I had to let some of the air out of my rear shock cause it was like riding a hard tail and then cause I happen to let a little too much out (just little bit of air can make huge difference) so my ride ended early cause I didn't have a shock pump so ordered one of those and then... was able to put my shock exactly where I wanted it and exactly where it was before coming to this shop. Why touch the air pressure and shocks when the customer brought in for a simple front derailleur adjustment? Yes they offered to fix the issue but I live 30 min away and frankly based on the first experience, I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't get fixed properly a 2nd time. I went elsewhere and got a Shimano chain out on my Shimano drivetrain, not a KMC chain along with new cassette and got the derailleur adjusted properly. Don't mess with an owners bike when they come in for a simple adjustment. Update to the store owner reply. (Google) Yes they 100% did ad air to my suspension but of course you won't admit to it cause if you did, others reading such review would greatly feel my disappointment. As CLEARLY stated I wasn't about to bring my bike back in to a place who adjusted my suspension and tire pressure when I did NOT want any of that done. YOU are the one posting false claims to save face on here by stating you didn't touch my suspension. Just cause I didn't mention the suspension issue when I called, automatically means it wasn't an issue?? Sorry I was too frustrated with the fact I actually did also bring my bike right back in (didn't even leave the parking lot cause it was clearly making noise) when I picked my bike up to address the chain rubbing on the "bottom" of the derailleur and the tech said "that's normal" and then he changed up and said "see here, if I adjusted it anymore it would hit the chain ring which is poor design (Giant Stance)". While also rushing me out the door so they could leave. But let me guess, cause I didn't put that specific detailed info in my initial review, then that means it didn't happen and is also false as you clearly state in your google review reply? Thank you for confirming my decision of not continuing to do business with you. read more

Bad Customer Service, we called to reserve 2 Bicycles, went to pick them up and they had already sold it, we drove all the way from Tampa and they were so rude. They didn't even say sorry or feel bad about they're mistake of selling both bikes they told us they had reserved. We will never go back here. read more

From our first phone call to the store, to walking out the door with my new Trek, they acted as a team to make sure I was informed and satisfied with my purchase. Brought in and older Stumpjumper Expert to get a new chain and perhaps a cassette. First thing tech says, this bike is "ancient" then looks at suspension and says it's shot and not worth to put money in, recommended a new bike. He said the rear shock leaked and there was oil on the frame from it. (I saw no oil and he didn't use his finger or anything to show such oil), he never tried to adjust either shock or to check air. Took to another LBS and found nothing wrong with either shock, they were both under inflated, I had lost my shock pump 2-3 years ago and never checked (my bad). just needed some air, went on a long trail ride and all good. I probably won't go back there as there are a couple other LBS in the area. read more

I bought a Trek here one morning, drove home, and then realized it has the dreaded thru-skew instead of a standard thru axle. Won't fit my roof rack, and as I learned, has a known problem with brake rotor rub every time you R&R the front wheel. I tried to return the bike THE SAME DAY, COMPLETELY UNRIDDEN and Trek Spring Hill REFUSED. Do not shop here. Take your business to a different Local Bike Shop. read more

I ordered a bike from the stores website and then ordered accessories for the bike from Trek website and had them shipped to the store so they could mount them when I picked the bike up. I called to arrange a time to pick the bike up and I was advised that the bike was actually a back order for another customer and they would have to cancel my order. I asked about the accessories I had ordered and they said they hadn't seen that order, but that it was ok if they shipped to the store as they weren't sure if the customer who had ordered the bike was actually going to take it and there was a chance I might still be able to get the bike. They then called again about an hour later and advised I had ordered 2-3 items that would not work on the bike I wanted and they told me to all Trek and cancel the order as they did not want to hassle with taking the return. I called Trek to cancel or redirect the order to my home. They advised they could not cancel or adjust orders, but that all Trek stores would accept returns. I never heard from the Spring Hill store so I found my bike from another bike store. I went in to get my order and return the items that would not work on my bike and the store refused to accept the return. They said it was too much of a hassle to work with Trek to send things back. As i left they said they would be happy to help me with future orders to ensure I order things that would work with my bike. I said i doubted i would be back and Owen said no loss, I am not local anyhow. For those of you who are local, you will be happy to know Owen considers all of you in "God's waiting room." Nice way to describe your customers! I picked my bike up from the store that did have the bike in stock and they gladly accepted the return. They went to the Trek site, noted the return and gave me proof of the return. They send the items back to Trek for me and I get the credit when Trek has the products back. No hassle whatsoever. Side note, the bike I had tried to buy is still on their website as in stock, so guess they plan to give others the same hassle they gave me!! Incredible. read more

I brought in a cheap bike for some repairs yesterday. They happily looked at it and immediately removed the front wheel and "got to it". I explained that I expected to leave it and they insisted that they could get me out the door in a few. We chatted for a few minutes as the tech worked. They never tried to up sell me anything. Now I know they only worked on my bike for 5-10 minutes and replaced one part. But a $5 bill? I paid and asked about a sticky cable and they came around the counter and lubed it. Let me start by saying I was looking for a quality used bike on a budget. I wasn't looking for a retail store bike, I wanted something I could have for a while. I walked into the Black Bear bicycle store, and was greeted quickly! I asked a few questions and was directed to the consignment bikes, and found exactly what I wanted! We worked on the price so the bike was in my budget, I also bought a pair of reasonably priced aluminum pedals, since I'm not a big fan of plastic. The whole transaction took maybe 30 minutes and that included him changing the pedals for me. The service I received here was above and beyond what I had expected, because the owner had other customers there, why would he help me? I wanted a used bike a fraction of the price of what he was selling to the other customers.
