THE best property for large groups, motorcycle/car groups especially! Amazing owners and a great EV charging setup. Perfect combo of simple/luxury accommodations also and a great location near town and scenic routes.

Road leading out to highway all gravel.

Right from the start we were greeted by Rosa who immediately made us feel right at home with her warmth and humor. Chef Andrew is an incredible talent. Everything was just extraordinarily delicious! We started with a very yummy chili with cornbread followed by the best pork belly we have had with a yummy almond butter sauce (lord!!) and then finished it off with perfectly cooked flatiron steaks with yummy cowboy butter! Oh and Chef even brought us some crispy cilantro rice that was also just a masterpiece of flavors. I don't know how many times I stopped during our meal to exclaim "this is SO GOOD" ....but it was many. That was the food- the people and service were as if not more impressive. Taz, the innkeeper who served us was incredibly kind and friendly and even brought us a complimentary champagne toast, which was so nice and appreciated! Again Rosa was hilarious and so sweet to us and then we met Shannon who brought us our desserts at the end of our meal and also made us feel like old friends. It was so over the top good that I feel we will be forever spoiled! We definitely will be coming back to stay. Many thanks again

The front desk girls were so sweet, welcoming, and ready to take care of whatever we needed and the Innkeeper/GM, Taz, wow! She seems to do it all and does it with such grace and kindness and pays attention to every guest - no matter how busy. We enjoyed speaking with her and learning the history of this little tucked away find. And what a find! What a location! Magnificent views and so peaceful, yet so many things you can do - especially nothing at all! Exploring was so much fun! They have an age limit of 13 years so keep that in mind if you have kiddos but what an escape and needed respite for us. They make fresh baked cookies in the morning - so delicious. Service overall was impeccable and we felt well cared for. Even better than warming up by the gorgeous fire and having our cocktails hand delivered was the food. The Chef most definitely has talent and the quail was perfection - also such creative presentation of his dishes! Who knew 5-star quality dining was waiting for us in such a perfectly remote location. It is so gorgeous up here as the weather turns cooler but we will definitely have to come back in the summer to take advantage of the water activities. We met beautiful people during our stay and if the fact couples make it a point to keep coming back years later doesn't speak to you about how special this place is, maybe the fact that you will witness hospitality at its finest and truly hard-working human beings who not only serve up an amazing experience but true kindness. And in this world we're living in, this is a welcome refreshment. Many thanks to the entire team, Taz and Chef Andrew! We've come away with priceless memories and a more refined palette! Plans are already in the works to visit again soon!

The evening was perfect and the outdoor seating near the river made a perfect backdrop. Live music began at 7 which was also nice. We ordered our drinks, appetizer (trout nuggets are very good!) and entrees at the insistence of our hostess and glad we did. By 5:30 it got very busy! I was dissatisfied with my grilled chicken sandwich. The grilled chicken had no seasoning. Plentiful portion but very bland and tasteless. I ate the grilled onions and mushrooms and a couple bites of the toasted wheat bread with melted cheese. My daughter had the Chicken Caesar wrap and she said it was messy but not bad. The Pizookie was delicious which made everything alright!! Who does not love a hot chocolate chip cookie with ice cream, caramel drizzle & whipped cream?! This was my 2nd time and even though my sandwich was not perfect, I still enjoy eating here. It is worth the trip!

Sitting outside, by the river,…read morewatching the kayakers go by, and eating this magical pizza, is one of our absolute favorite things to do, every time we visit the area (twice a year). Now, let me tell you why I CANNOT give them 5 stars. I have been telling my in-laws about this place (AND this pizza) for about 3 years. Last month, we took them to Waynesville, for what will likely be their last trip to Waynesville, their favorite place. (health reasons) We were staying in Waynesville and shopping in Pigeon Forge and it was lunch time. We were headed to Mel's Diner, and at the last second, I suggested we go by Tapoco Tavern, instead, to get the pizza I had been telling them about. Everybody was hungry, but agreed they could hold out for another hour to try this pizza they'd heard so much about. We were all starving by the time we finally pulled up to the LOCKED GATES at Tapoco Tavern. Their website had NO MENTION OF BEING CLOSED. We assumed they must close for the season, but a few days later, I saw an advertisement for Tapoco Lodge, on Facebook. Go figure. We drove 60-100 miles out of the way and still had to drive another hour to get to the third restaurant attempt. (Luckily, Native Brews, in Cherokee was open (obviously, we called first). Any other restaurant would have a one star review for this train wreck dining day. But, that awesome pizza will STILL keep us coming back. Sadly, my in-laws will never experience the best Margherita pizza. Go here. Get the Margherita pizza. It's a game changer. But, CALL FIRST!

We got a cabin with a king and 2 queens. We are local so we came around lunch to use the pool before check in. When the cabin was ready we quickly unloaded everything. We noticed a few things like the rusted out bottom of the front door and rips in the kitchen floor. We knew booking that it was dated, I'm fine with dated but not ok with dirty. We spent the rest of the day at the pool. When we got back to the cabin that evening to make dinner (because wow the up-charges rival Disney level $) we noticed ants on the countertops. Called the front desk and they sent someone up to spray. The whole place furniture and floors were sticky. When my daughter went to get in bed the sheets were dirty, hair and dirt in the made bed. I checked the king and something. So at 10pm we went to the front to get clean sheets for all the beds. I found it odd that not a single bed had a mattress protector. Wake up in the morning and the ants are everywhere. Any of the food that had been opened and secured again (like chips, mini donuts, and buns) had ants in it. So we went to the front desk, they moved us to a new cabin. I found the front desk and the staff very helpful. We loved the village atmosphere and this place has sooo much potential. We were really hoping to have t a great experience especially since booking the cabin for 2 nights was $777 and some change. Not a cheap stay! I feel like they have totally overshot their price mark. Once again I'm fine with dated..not ok with dirty. Cabin 1050 needs to be retired. I hope someone actually reads these reviews and does something about it. Like I said before we are local and will probably still come back for a day or night just because it is such a cool atmosphere.

I believe there are two restaurants. We only ate what was served at the wedding. The food was standard, catering type food. They offer a bunch of wedding venue options. Ours was next to tge main building on the sun deck. The staff was great. The resort has a store with wine, snacks, and souvenirs. Our room was large with a balcony overlooking the woods. The temperature was comfortable. The bathroom was pretty outdated, but clean. There was a mini fridge and a loveseat. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were a little soft for me.

The beautiful fresh produce complimented the expertly cooked and seasoned proteins. There wasn't a single thing we ate that we didn't enjoy. The room itself was pleasant as well. It was hard to leave the luxurious king bed every morning. The heated floors in the bathroom and the comfy sitting area made our Holly Springs cottage suite the perfect home base. We were also assigned our own golf cart to get around the property (although we chose to walk mostly to take in the views). Service was top notch and the staff were wonderful. Every evening they surprised us with a little treat for our anniversary which was very thoughtful. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Blairsville is a small ittle mountain town up near the Georgia and North Carolina state line. Blairsville is home to the tallest peak in Georgia, Brasstown Bald Mountain, part of the Blueridge mountains. There are so many things to do up there (cut down your own Christmas tree at Southern Tree Plantation, tubing, hiking, shopping, horseback riding) and it's just a beautiful town in general. These cabins are nestled on the side of a mountain, right off US19, a main highway in Blairsville. They are in a community of other cabins, but still ensure privacy behind trees and distance. Our cabin was Blackberry Cabin, and it was one of the highest on the property. We have a V6 regular drive Dodge Dakota, and it made it up the gravel road with no problem (after realizing we needed to give it a little more gas than these flat road drivers were used to!) The cabin was fully equipped and gorgeous. We had all the comforts of home plus a wood burning fireplace, and an breathtaking view from the porch. At the entrance of the community, there is a firepit (with pre-chopped wood always stocked), trails to hike along a stream, and fields to play a game of Frisbee if you're so inclined! If you're looking for a safe, comfortable and beautiful mountain community to spend a weekend (or week) at, check out Highland Falls Cabins! You won't be disappointed!
