Josh Hobson is the owner. They offered a 10 percent discount as a winter special. We called for estimate and they came out within a week to assess the job. With the 10 percent, Indiana Strong came in slightly lower than other estimates we received. They carefully marked each tree to come down. I liked their attention to detail, so we selected them for the job. They communicated well with us and arranged to have underground cables marked prior to working. They arrived on time and as expected. Wearing hard hats and working carefully, the crew of six downed the three trees in about an hour. They used a small tractor with a claw to transport the branches and logs out of the yard to waiting trucks. They ground stump. They meticulously removed all the debris, even from the street. Would I hire them again? Heck yes.

The estimate we received was less than two others that we had gotten. They arrived promptly both for the estimate and the day of service. They had bucket trucks to use for the large branches over our house and to get to the top of the trees. They also climbed in our other trees to remove dead branches. They left some firewood for us and even cut it in 18-inch lengths. They repaired divots in the ground from where the huge pieces of the oak fell. Overall, a very good experience. They were done in about 3 hours and left all of the wood neatly stacked and put the smaller branches and leaves through the wood chipper with no mess in the yard. They were more expensive than some other quotes but they did a lot more work. The tree with rot was quoted as salvageable by some other services but I had my doubts as it was already leaning towards my roof and a third of the trunk was gone.

Kyle operated and now the maples can breathe and look better than they ever have. The bed under the maples contained 40 prized hostas and 7 huge pots with jade, bromeliads and flowers. The crew caught each branch before it reached the ground and didn't harm a single plant! In the back, a giant river birch was growing onto the roof. River birches are not easy to climb, but Kyle was able to climb it and completely eliminate the problem.
