Our company, Call The Gutter Guys, was hired by an individual representing Legacy Tree Industries who identified himself as Corey during our communications and represented himself as the owner. He contacted us to repair gutters that he said were damaged while performing tree work at a home in Shakopee, Minnesota, in May 2026. During our text message communications, Corey instructed us to send the invoice to Isaac, whom Corey identified as his business partner in Brainerd, Minnesota. They accepted our quote and agreed to the project timeline, and we completed the work as agreed. After the work was finished, we texted the same contact who had arranged the job two photos of the completed work. The response we received was, "Awesome job!!! What is the total?" We then provided the total and sent invoices and multiple follow-up requests for payment to the phone numbers and email addresses that had been used throughout the project. When we received no response, we located additional phone numbers for Corey and Isaac and ultimately spoke directly with both of them regarding payment. We also provided multiple methods by which payment could be made. As of July 20, 2026, we have not received payment for the completed work, despite communications indicating that payment would be made. This post reflects our experience with this project. Wish I could give 0 stars. Corey treb is a scam artist, and a crook. Had a flier dropped off at our door, and needed some work done quick. Corey and isaac carreza from legacy tree industries (one of their many business names) came out quickly and all seemed great. Shortly after that, things got worse and worse with communication, and quality of work. Made the mistake of paying Corey in full before the job was completed and cleaned up, and haven't been able to get ahold of him since. Left me with a mud pit of a yard, damage to my driveway, and multiple large piles of dirt on our street. Do Not, In any scenario do business with these guys. Especially Corey! Corey Treb did some work for my elderly parents, under the name of Legacy Tree Industries. He refused to give an itemized estimate. He did give a minimum and maximum price. In the end, he charged over the maximum amount and never gave a itemized invoice. He charged them over 9 thousand dollars to plant perennial flowers and bulbs. Do not hire Corey Treb. read more

This company is fraudulent. They came through the neighborhood, door to door, asking if we needed buckthorn or dead trees removed. I hired them to remove buckthorn because they said they would cut it down, grind out the stumps and haul away. They cut it down alright, but left all the brush in a huge pile at the end of my driveway. Despite calls, texts and numerous follow-up there has been no response. I later found that Cory Treb has been operating this tree service under several business names, none of which are legit. Avoid all business under this name or Cory Treb! read more

I was working on a tree in my yard when they drop up and said they could trim some branches and cut down a tree in our yard plus haul away the wood. They also told me they would not take payment until job was complete, they would give me an invoice and it would be cheaper (no tax) if I paid in cash. They came by the next day and cut down the one tree while barely trimming and not removing a key branch that was leaning over our neighbors garage until my wife asked them to remove it. They claimed that they would not take the wood away but then said they would come two days later to pick it up. We made partial payment though the work was not complete and no invoice. They did not arrive on that day. We called the two numbers on the flier we were given. One number was disconnected and the other number did not have a voicemail set up. I tried calling several times over three days with no response. The email on their flier has not given me a response either. They came through neighborhood, were working at a neighbor, found a crack in a tree. Could give a good deal since they were near. They gave contract on a blank piece of paper - no company heading. Should have know better at that. They did a good job of taking down branch. Said if I paid cash there would be no tax. I paid by check to some individual - no company name - the colored flyer they had Tree Solutions INC on it. Branches laid on yard over week end - grass is now brown. They did come back and move trimmings to curb - branches on an other neighbors yard - logs on mine. I move branches to my property. Called for a couple of day - no answer. Finally got an answer. I would not recommend this company, they are your typical "Storm Chasers". They thrive on taking advantage of elderly customers, including my 90 year old mother. Corey Treb stopped by and offered to give us an estimate for storm damaged trees. He estimated $5000 for the job. I asked for a written estimate, but never received one. He stopped by again when the insurance adjuster was here and jacked up the estimate to $7000, and said he would include taking down the tree that wasn't covered by insurance. They never took down the tree they said they would, I never did get a written estimate, and he stopped by and demanded to be paid before they even hauled the big pile of trees from our yard. All I heard was lies and excuses from Corey Treb. I did pay him the $7000 for the job, but now we have hired a legitimate company to cut down the tree that they never did. So the original $5000 job is now costing $8600. Like I said, do not trust this company, they are Storm Chasers, I wish I would have seen these reviews before I hired this company., read more

This company is shady and the owner, Corey Treb, is a crook. I was a sub-contractor to him while he did work here in Cedar Rapids after the big storm we had come through several months back. He came in, did one big job, did not pay his subs, and skipped town. His first check bounced and after he added to the scope refused to pay for the second half of the project. When called and asked about it, he said "you don't make the rules, I do." And hung up. This is after I had two machines and 2 guys on his job for 3 days. Not a good person at all and would not be surprised if he landed in serious trouble over the next few months as I am certain, I am not the only person he has done this to. It is what it is and karma always catches up. Just want others to be aware, this guy is a joke of a businessman and a thief. Reading the reviews on this site and many others (as he apparently changes his business name when caught) - I am truly not surprised. He has no integrity or character whatsoever. I wish we could give zero stars. This company was hired by our neighbors to do tree work. They did not ask permission to any of us other neighbors (3 in total) to go onto our property in soggy conditions. Eventually they got the permission of one after we asked them to stop.They tore up our lawns! We asked them to remove the equipment from our property and they threatened us. I am pregnant and my husband is disabled. When they found out that he had a service dog, the called him mentally disabled and started using slurs. His service dog is for mobility. Not a mental disability. The man who identified himself as the "owner" threw a log at my husband when he asked if he would be willing to write a waiver of liability. We have many images and videos of this company balancing on logs 4 feet in the air using chainsaws on our property. We never gave them permission to go on our property. Let alone do clearly unsafe business practices. The whole week they never wore safety vests, helmets, safety goggles, or gloves. If they would have hurt themselves on our lawn they could have gone after us. Had they asked our permission to go on our lawn and drafted up a liability waiver from the beginning, this all could have been resolved. Instead, they threatened us multiple times and left our property a mess. We were just trying to protect ourselves in the event of an accident. This company is a lawsuit waiting to happen. read more

This "business" run by Corey and Alicia Treb claim they will do work in their invoice, charges you for it and don't complete the job. When you try to contact them, they state they will call you back, and do not. If you do get a hold of them again, they make claims they will finish the job, but never do. They don't do what they say they will, they are dishonest, and lack integrity running a so called "business". They also were careless, and damaged our siding and landscaping. This company disposed 105 yards of brush from March through May 2020 at Eklund Yard & Tree Disposal and never paid. They won't respond to calls. Voicemail is not set up or full. Do not do business with them. You will not get paid or get any service. This is not a legitimate company. read more
