In all their work, when they leave it's hard to know they were even there. And their prices were very fair.

The signs are now falling and blowing all over the place, but the company doesn't care. I texted them about a specific sign that was literally in the middle of a sidewalk - they didn't respond and never removed the sign. Attached is another picture of a sign just sitting on the ground. Totally irresponsible. Oh and prior to this they trimmed a tree of mine and botched it completely.

I had dealings with Local Boys before I read their Yelp reviews. The first time I used them, they…read morewere reasonably priced, fast, and professional. The second time i was looking for a tree company, I almost passed them up based on reviews. My wife said, that they were the crew I used before and we had good results so what happened? I did a bit of research on their yelp reviews and found this out: there are some miserable people out there. If you are one of those folks that can only write bad reviews and have nothing constructive to say than quit posting. I swear, Yelp should cull the herd on folks that only review negatively. One person has had such horrible luck with damages caused by a variety of contractors that she should be homeless by now, based on that destructiveness of all the people she hired. Get a life, be constructive and quit trying to get something for nothing. I will say this about the Local Boys, they are the best in this area, period. I found far better reviews of their company on another website. So we called Jason and he remembered us. He came over, gave us a fair quote, told us what we could reasonably expect to happen to our property (we had 4 HUGE trees right next to the house) and that he could do it tomorrow if we want. He didn't use some " this price is only good for the next 24 hours" pressure tactic to try to get our business. He is an honest, local, polite, man that looks out for his customers and his crew. His crew is also professional, skilled labor, not day laborers picked up from the front of some convenient store. The team showed up early, brought a ton of gear and started working right away. Now I should mention that if you have never had 100+ foot poplars removed from your property there is quite a bit of residual "damage" that occurs. By damage, I mean some divots when branch's and tree chunks hit the ground, the inevitable snow fall of sawdust from the chainsaw, the tracks left from tractors that are carrying 500 lb pieces of wood across your wet, freshly rained on yard, and the huge pile of sawdust from a PROPERLY ground stump. Jason and the crew did their best to limit the above problems. They laid plywood down on the ground for the tractor to drive on and to reduce the track damage to my yard. They raked the tracks that were not covered ny plywood and reseeded the lawn when they were done. When the tree removal was done, they steel raked all the divots and tractor marks and used a leaf blower to get the majority of sawdust off of everything in my yard. They did everything they possibly could to mitigate damage and repair damage after it occurred. Would I recommend them? Hell yes. In fact, three of my neighbors came to see what the hell I was doing and immediately got quotes for work they wanted to do. Two neighbors will be getting work done tomorrow. The third will probably not be far behind because you won't find a better price for the quality of work done. So for all you negative nellies out there, get a life. I believe in this company so much I let them leave their tractors in my driveway and gear at my house so they can help my neighbors. I don't do that for everybody. Next year, I will have more work done and I know who I'm going to call. Those Local Boys are welcome at my house anytime. When we moved into our house, we had dirt in the back yard. We had trees taken down and still barely any grass. When Mark diagnosed our issue and started working on our lawn, we had results! He knows what he's talking about! Additionally, we planted 9 evergreens that were dying. We bought every product known to try and stop them from dying, thinking it was web worms to a fungus. Mark thought that with us watering and the run off from our neighbors watering their yard, they were getting too much water. He was right! Mark's prices are very reasonable and he is honest. Ultimately, ACA was once considered the best bang-for-your-buck yard-work service that you paid a little more for than the budget priced guys but got really quality work. Over the last few years, they've increased their prices exponentially and decreased their quality. I recognize the prices of things have gone up in recent years but there's no excuse for the terrible service. I scheduled them for a (over-priced) yard clean-up with 5 yards of mulch. Their office location repeatedly rescheduled it without informing us and I had to hound them to get answers about the availability. Eventually, the person I was speaking with even admitted they had no clue when they'd come out. Terrible communication / management that impacted what day my wife would go into the office that week. The actual work done was sub-par as well. Three folks showed up and made a really poor effort to remove weeds, leaving a ton behind, and then sloppily threw mulch on top of them, scattering it all over my yard as well. What a pain the next time a mowed the lawn! They tore out three completely healthy rosemary bushes that I used on a regular basis and completely mangled a rose bush that was a gift from my wife's grandfather before he passed away. The edging was poor and sloppy and they didn't ask anything of us. Ultimately, they got the job done and they did it on a short timeline because of rain last week having pushed the date and that's the primary reason why they got 2 stars instead of 1; but I don't know that I'll ever use them again.

Received a reply that they would not entertain my request without me dumping all my personal information over insecure email first. I explained I had cyber privacy constraints and they first made an accusation that people are just fishing and not serious then told me to basically take a hike. Very unprofessional in my opinion for not getting to know a customer before making assumptions. Might want to ask them why they want "all" your personal info so badly just to give an estimate. What are they doing with it? Are they selling it with other third parties? Are they entering it into a system that shares it with third parties? Are they using it for spamming, marketing? I certaintly did not appreciate their tone and presumptions. Not a very appealing business philosophy in my opinion.
