My pup was having a bad day, and was uncooperative, the groomer took time and also recommended some treats that will help him calm down, asked us to come back later and did not charge us, even though she spent time with him. I use the self wash area and that is always kept clean/ sanitized, plenty of towel and necessities . However, expect to pay north of $75 for a small dog (not including tip) for a brand new groomer and deal with all their weird new policies. Front desk worker was extremely unpleasant and unhelpful. I've taken my dog (who is extremely easy to groom, a small Maltipoo that is very mellow) here for the past five years with no problems. Suddenly we are being asked to sign new terms and policies where they will charge for everything imaginable. Then we are standing there for over 30 minutes , where the girl refuses to make an appointment for next time for my dog. Finally she mentioned October, but would not actually make the appointment. Meanwhile, there was a long line of other customers waiting behind us. Everything we ask, she keeps saying "no" and is so unhelpful and awkward. At the end, we just assumed that for whatever reason, she was discriminating against me and didn't want to make me an appointment. Way to treat your long term customers. A note to the business: work on customer service skills for your behind the desk people. My dog looked ok after getting groomed, but I guess it's impossible to get another appointment with this groomer (and any groomer there), and she was one of the only experienced groomers. At the end, I decided it wasn't worth it to pay those prices for a brand new groomer anyways. And I also wonder why all their good groomers are leaving. For others looking for a grooming place, consider going down the road to kennelwood, their prices are more reasonable and you won't deal with this B.S. They always have some sort of deal going & always have the best quality products. I highly recommend the fluff n tuff toy brand they carry, their homemade treats and puppy cakes, and their no hide bones! Occasion: The great food quest for my picky labradoodle Most people who know me know that I have a Service Dog, Piper. What they don't know is how ridiculously picky is said service dog when it comes to food. Here are a list of the foods we had tried prior to taking her to TU: all flavors of Purina Pro Plan, Purina Focus Salmon, Hill's chicken & rice, Hill's lamb, Hill's I/D, Royal Canin Poodle food. Too many foods for a 2 yo dog... Then we had the good fortune to wander into TU one day. I thought I was getting a treat for her, but ended up solving my (her) food woes. When I walked in, we were immediately greeted. I said I needed help finding a healthy food that my dog will reliably eat - the man asked me several questions about my dog and what she's tried in the past before recommending Stella & Chewy raw food blend. Piper liked it for a week or so (just long enough for me to get all excited and spring for the $90 bag:) and then I discovered she was picking out the raw food bits and leaving the kibble. She's really way too clever... Was really afraid that this was the nutritional equivalent to picking the marshmallows out of the lucky charms, so I was a bit nervous when I returned to the store to ask if the raw bits were healthy and if there was an entire food made of them. I was really excited when they told me that yes, those were actually the healthier parts of the food! And they sell it without the kibble in both freeze dried (for travel) and frozen (for home use)!! Treats Unleashed on Clarkson to the rescue. I already bought some Mardi Gras treats at the Kirkwood location, but some how I already passed them out before the holiday actually got here. My fur-babies love their cookies and I love that they're all natural and made in house at each location. We're now set for this weekend with crown cookies with King and Queen written on them. We also have colorful Fleur de lis cookies. Let the party begin. I also grabbed a bag of Charlie Bear all natural grain free treats. These small bite treats are only 3 calories each and are great for training. I use them as a distraction so I can exit my own house - LOL. Our dog has been groomed and had her nails trimmed at this location many times. We have always given her prescription anti-anxiety medication prior to coming. I mentioned this on the phone when scheduling the appointment again for her nail trim. The person on the phone did not have any issue with that and nor have they in the past. We drove all the way to the location and were declined service because she was on prescription anti-anxiety. Extremely frustrating, disappointing and a waste of time. Edit: Your reply below states that we were told on the phone (when we mentioned the medication) that it was not allowed. As we said before, they had no issue on the phone when we mentioned the medication. That is where the frustration lies because we certainly would have not medicated our dog now or in the past if it was against your policy. We have no issue with policies. We just wish the employee was better trained to know the policy to have avoided medicating our dog and driving there to be declined service. It was never an issue in the past. Hopefully this helps customers in the future and helps ensure employees are aware of the policies. I visited Treats Unleashed after the Diamond pet foods recall. My vendor did little to inform customers and had even fewer answers after we questioned her about it. The woman spent roughly 30 minutes discussing the dietary needs of my family's three dogs, and we came up with a diet of raw food and dry kibble. She told me what she feeds her dogs and recommended food based on my budget and dog's dietary needs. I was very impressed with the level of customer service because she stayed friendly the whole time and didn't seem frustrated spending 30 minutes helping me. Although the treats and food is a tad pricey, the quality is worth it. In addition, they have a loyalty program, offer a 10 percent discount for trying a new diet plan and gave me free samples. I was also sent home with information about the pet food brand I chose and a pamphlet on transitioning to a raw diet which really helped when I was relaying the information to my family. They also have adorable, freshly baked dog treats and an assortment of other products. read more

Went on recommendation from my vet to get dental hygiene chew items for the dogs. It smelled good in the store. I stood at least 10 minutes at the checkout line just wanting to get help while two people behind the counter were trying to sign a customer up for their email program. I don't know why it took two to do that! I didn't look at anything else in the store, because I just wanted the dental things for my dogs. When I got help, the varieties were too massive to compute, and I forgot the name of the dental stick thing I should get for my dogs. When I checked out, I got 4 lovely samples of: oven-baked organic dog treats pumpkin; mini baked chicken n' cherryz biscuits; Instinct grain-free nutrition (beef meal and lamb meal formula); and oven-baked lotus. The dogs LOVED all of them. I doled everything out like it was a treat (to last longer). And I signed up for their specials/sales. What I bought were three dental helpful chews for $11.84 that lasted a couple hours. And now they're gone. And I got a coupon for 50% off any fresh-baked treat. I'll have to find out the name of those things I was supposed to get. "Cause $11.84 for a couple hours of chewing pleasure doesn't do it. read more

Love how roomy the new store is. :) The service is always friendly and helpful. Plus, they spoil our pups with attention and treats and they love it! We love that the cakes and treats are made with wholesome ingredients! The self-service wash stations are easy to use and clean! What a great location too! Right next to Trader Joe's -- so convenient! We've also used the grooming services. By all means, go to Kelli if you want someone who does NOT listen to your specific requests and does whatever she wants to your dog's hair/fur. In the end, she'll tell you, "I cut her hair extra short because you're gonna ask me to cut it shorter anyway" (despite the agreed upon length we communicated at the drop-off). Go see her you want to interact with someone who's completely DEVOID of any professionalism and basic people skills (doesn't apologize for changing an appointment time at the last minute). Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment, but we gave our "groomer relationship" 3 chances to grow, only to be met with so much frustration in the end. But this all ends well. We decided to start going to Jackie! It's been a great experience! She will deliver your grooming needs to your request and provide guidance and recommendations to help you with your pup's fur-style. Marianna is very sweet. We have moved a lot and finding a groomer for my Standard Poodle and Bichon babies is always a daunting task. Unfortunately, my babies have not had good grooming experiences in our moves. So, finding a groomer that is kind, considerate, and talented is such a relief!!! They've MOVED!!!!!! They're now closer to hwy 40 and the mall next to Trader Joes. I can walk there, it's perfect! The new location feels weird cuz I'm used to the small old one but they still contain the old awesome ladies, treats, food, and toys I was after today. I saw briefly from afar the new "wash stations" they have. Supposedly you can pay a small fee to come use their facilities and tools to groom/ clean your own dog. They also upgraded to include a groomer. She starts February 1st at this location and is off on Sundays and Mondays. We are looking for a reasonably priced groomer as our current one has meh customer service. The prices seemed legit - will be like $45-$60 for our fur baby. I'm pretty excited to give them a shot and will check out the groomers abilities the first week in February! Yea baby. They apparently have one groomer ATM and they book in 2 hour increments, so like 9-11, 11-1, ect.... ----update - our lovely fur baby who is a 15 lb Morkie or so cost us $50 for the grooming. Kelli was as sweet as could be and sooooo helpful! She was there to ask any questions when I dropped him off and we went over together what I was wanting him to look like. She took about 1 1/2 hours total to finish his groom (I had a 2 hour block from 3-5). When we picked him up he looked so different to me! But, I was very impressed with the service. He looks super cute and she did an excellent job - I was VERY happy with the grooming job and the price of it. I will definitely be back again! Kelli and the other ladies there were super friendly when we picked up our baby and were talking about how cute and playful he is. He was in a room (NOT CAGE!!!) when I went to pick him up. She said they were playing while they waited for me to come back. How sweet is that?! At the other place - not going to mention where, but, I've reviewed them - their customer service was definitely lacking and their groom was not near as nice. They also had 5-10 dogs in wire cages which just didn't seem quite so nice! I'd rather have 2 hours tied up at TU for a groom and have such friendly people :D Thanks Kelli for a great experience! :)))))) oh and they are computerized I believe and can make notes of what you like/dislike and she offered to change anything we didn't like or make a note for next time - how awesome?! This is an upscale dog boutique, with a real bakery inside... it re-defines the dog treats. :) While I love the products, I think its a bit overpriced. I almost bought a leash on sale, for 25.00 ! No, it wasn't re-tractable, and no, it was not leather.. so why the high price? I also saw a winter coat I liked here, but then saw the same thing at Home goods in 1 size larger for half the price.. seems a bit odd. I had a disappointing and insulting experience with Treats Unleashed. I went to "exchange" a pack of Stella and Chewy's Wild Weenies for a different flavor. The pack was unopened and I had the receipt. The pack had been purchased on a Saturday and this was Monday. The Store Associate and Manager both said the product had been purchased on sale so they would have to charge me an extra $2. I was shocked and insulted. I had been a loyal customer for 5 years and "purchased everything" from Treats Unleashed: food, beds, grooming, leashes, everything!! And I spend $1,000's of dollars with them. I realized supporting and being loyal to them only goes "one" way. They lost my $1,000's of business for $2. So, if you have a problem with them, I have 2 solutions. "Earthwise" Pet Store on Olive is locally owned, they carry everything Treats carries - and the owner is in the store everyday. He is knowledgable and friendly. The other is Pet Supplies Plus. I discovered this store recently even though it has been in this location I believe they said 7 years! I was not realy looking for anything special I just decided to go inside because I had a new puppy and I was curious. The employee there (who I haven't seen since my first visit and I loved her, sorry I don't have a name) was so informative. I walked out of the store with lots of samples of dog food and a whole new knowledge of really good dog food and the food we buy at the local large pet stores. I have since changed my dogs food, and not they are doing great. This store also offers nail trims and has a large selection of cool toys and leashes and stuff and don't forget the treats!! This was my second visit with my 2yr old dog. I understand everyone has a bad day but when management stands by with no comment that's just disappointing. I Was questioning a cut that looked like nothing had been trimmed- groomer makes amends while I'm there but my dog sits on shears as she trying to groom what should've already been done- my sweet pup is bleeding - groomer was gracious with apology but shouldn't shears be pointed sideways or downward? A managing staff member was there witnessing the entire event - no apology or how can we make this better, nothing. Worst witness of customer service ever. Best Cat Stuff/Not Just Dogs...I'm late writing this but about a month ago I found this store because I was in the Chesterfield area. I rescued a CAT who has some allergies to fillers (e.g. corn, gluten...). I assumed they catered to dogs but I entered the store where I was lucky to meet Brandon, their manager; I believe. Being in sales a lot of my life, I want to note that he practiced very wise customer acquisition skills (whether he knew or not). Any good salesman knows that sometimes the first sale doesn't make $$ or even there's a loss; the sales come the next visit or the next etc. Brandon sensed my frustration and immediately gave me a very safe n good brand of pumpkin to try and offered me some samples. He cared about my cats diet needs. He has innate sales skills/people skills and the owner's hired wisely. The company, through him, earned my trust and my business. Also, they were closing in 20 minutes and he listened to me and showed me everything which really educated me on doing better with cat food. The Big Pet Chains have structure, so much supply, strategies, & systems but Treats Unleashed has exactly what I needed. Excellence is enough! At first, it seemed pricier but with the better quality foods (they sell some in the top tier) my pet has easy to clean litter box, isn't begging for food nor scarfing it down. Almost 0 smell. Their toys are perfect n unique. I continue to spend most of my pet $$ at their stores now. I love this store...and I bought no grain treats and treats made with oatmeal. However they have very few fish treats in the homemade variety.
