The location of the shop was well-known, but the shop itself, a first time browsing/shopping experience. It's a small place, but sure fully-packed with offerings -- all sorts of 'stuff & such' -- from used clothing of all kinds (mens, womens, and children), to odds & ends of houseware, and such. The staff (owners) were great -- so friendly, informative, and caring about what they do, and the community services they provide. Daughter found a mug that she just had to have. Otherwise, we just browsed and enjoyed the sights, and our chats with the owners -- two fun visits worth.

Daughter and I stopped in for a look around on one of our walkabouts, and were very pleasantly pleased with what we found and observed. The shop, though looking small from the outside, has two levels of displays inside, and is well-stocked with a fine range of various collectibles, antiques, and such. I liked and appreciated the ambiance -- it was quiet (background music, at low level), with lighting appropriate to the kind of establishment and offerings -- and our cordial and informative host. We enjoyed browsing the several areas of the shop, and checking out the various displays. And amongst the looking around, asking our host a few questions about the shop, and some of the items we found of most interest. It was good to see this fine shop back in business, and wish them well in their endeavours.

I recently had a frustrating experience here that left much to be desired. Customer Service: Despite there being four employees working, not one of them acknowledged our presence when we walked in. We had to actively seek out help multiple times, which is not what I expected from a store that should prioritize customer service. When we finally did receive assistance, the employees seemed more interested in having a family chat among themselves than in helping us find the right shoes. We had to ask over and over again for different sizes - and when someone finally came - they simply dropped the shoes on the floor. Overall Experience: The combination of poor customer service and a disorganized store environment made for a frustrating shopping experience. I was disappointed by the staff's lack of attentiveness and the overall lack of effort to assist us in our search for shoes. I have spent a lot of money here over the years...no more! With so many other shoe stores out there that offer better service and a more welcoming atmosphere, I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere in the future. It's unfortunate that such a basic aspect of retail--providing decent customer service--was so lacking at this location.

From resetting stones in new bands, sizing rings, and supporting me in the creation and repurposing of cultural themed jewelry. A few years ago, after working with my indigenous clients, I realized that I had no cultural jewelry. So I scavenged the net for Nordic silver. I found a brooch of a Viking long ship, bought it from Scotland, took it to Katie and asked her to make me a pendant. She also recommended a sturdy chain. It was perfect!
