I had arranged an at-home euthanasia through Lap of Love (Dr. Tina is fantastic, by the way), and they use Treasured Paws for their aftercare. I knew I wanted a private cremation, but I also wanted to be present. What I would do for any of my human family members, I would also do for my furry one, and Midnight, my baby girl, was my first. So, I called Treasured Paws shortly after I finished making an appointment with Lap of Love, in advance of the euthanasia. Tim, the owner, answered on the second ring. He answered my questions very clearly, and we arranged what is (even in the human cremation industry) a little unusual... a witness cremation. That means that I wanted to be there when my girl was placed in the retort, the doors closed, and the process started. Tim was very accommodating, and we worked out a good time for both of us to be there (this was a big deal for me, since the first available day would have been my parent's anniversary). When I got there, he had laid Midnight out, and we talked a little about her, while I stroked her fur and cried a bit. He showed me her metal tag, and placed it with her body. When I was ready, he placed her in the retort, and I placed a rose, one of her toys and some catnip with her. He checked with me before he closed the doors, and again before he turned the oven on. I picked her up the following evening. He'd carved her name into the wooden box her ashes were in, which was a special touch. It's never a "good time" or a "recommended experience" to have to say goodbye to your pet, and I'm not in any rush to use Tim's services again. With that said, for my friends who are pet owners, and for myself when the time comes again, I know where to turn. read more

I have used the company twice. The first time was a positive experience, the second time was extremely negative. One of the operators/Co founders will argue with customers on the phone, correct them, not listen to the complaint etc. and go so far to say he trusts no one. My second experience with this company showed a severe lack of quality customer service. I will never use or recommend them again. I wish I could mark a negative star. read more

We lost our beloved Arrow on Feb. 3,2018 and received him back on Feb. 14 2018 (such a fitting day) he is still filling out hearts.
