This place is very popular for lunch. They have 2 different offers every weekday at SEK64 plus "a la carte" (if that is even a possible word for Indian food). Naan and coffee is another 5 SEK extra each. I really love the interior of this place - cool and colorful but so-o-o cramped in the outer room. Avoid rush hour to be able to move here. The atmosphere is rather quiet so it is easy to enjoy the lunch break. You get seated and they come and take your order. You pay at the cashier. I had a Murghi Mambala (Chicken) - but it was not for me. Some strange seasoning. I better go back to tikka and khorma - that is always a safe bet. The menu promise a coffee buffet if added SEK5 - so I did. I was very curious about the buffet for 5 sek - at least it must be a couple of cookies to choose from. Lo and behold - it was a just cup of coffee! I am sure the food is good (even if this particular dish wasn't to my liking), just as any good Indian, but here you come for the interior! They even have Bollywood on TV in the bar! Does not accept AMEX.

It's tasty, visually appealing and a reasonable price. During the summer, as most places have, they have outdoor bench seating on the sidewalk facing the street. Once you enter this restaurant, you'll immediately feel like being in another country (not India or…read moreany other country in Asia for that matter). The jazz playing in the background is fantastic. It was on a pay day right before Easter. I was greeted by a seemingly stressed non-Indian waiter. My table was set within 5 seconds with water, table cloth and the rest... but also a small glass filled with crayolas (???) . at first I thought my table was a children's table. I soon realised that all tables had their bunch of crayolas in glasses. While waiting, I was offered a fantastic tiny portion of ginger tomato soup with creamy coconut. I was delighted! While I was waiting for my main course, an extra spicy hizz frizz (#14 on the menu),a young woman asked "what is Ocra?" to the staff. The waiter invited her to try the soup while explaining. What a great tactic to lure in hungry customers! Having that soup to begin with, might either be a manipulation or a fair announcement of what is coming next. Anyways... I was anxiously waiting for my meal. It finally arrived 50 minutes later. It wasn't bad but nothing special either. And most of all, it didn't taste like Indian food normally does. So was it worth the waiting while slurping a spoon of soup and playing with crayolas? ABSOLUTELY NOT! The reason why this place doesn't deserve a 5 star is mainly because : - it isn't very clear about being exclusively vegetarian and vegan. As a meat lover I was fairly disappointed when realizing that no meat was on the menu. I regretted on why I ended up there. - the time I had to wait for having my meal.... Half hour is okay but a whole hour? Come on. - the size of the portion. It's quite small. A main course isn't enough to quench your hunger. You need several starters to go with it. - the non-Indian waiter's arrogance. I was treated like air, which I didn't appreciate. - the price! It's way too expensive.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon with my boyfriend. While the prices seemed a little high…read more(betweeen 160-200 kr per meal), we decided to stay and share one plate between the two of us. After scoping out Yelp and TripAdvisor, we decided to order spicy Lamb Biryani. It isn't on the menu, but they make it to order. Boy was I so glad I ordered it. As I understand, they make biryani with whatever sort of protein you want (ie chicken, lamb, fish etc).. I just wish I had gotten a picture. They brought out a long plate of what looked like seasoned yellow rice, but as I scooped it onto my plate, I realized the lamb had been cooked inside the rice (it was kind of like a Twinkie, the lamb being the filling). They also brought out sauce for the biryani on the side. Thank god for that by the way, because it was really spicy and I would not have been able to eat all of my biryani like that. In addition to the biryani, we ordered a side of garlic naan. It took some time for them to bring it out, but I realized after that it was because it was freshly made as well. Between the two of us, I think it was a good meal. I was quite full, but my boyfriend said he could've eaten the whole thing if he had been hungry. The takeaway? If your boyfriend is an athlete, and super hungry, have him order his own entree, otherwise sharing is enough for two. For that meal we paid 197 kr. While it's still a little pricey, I would definitely come back again. I haven't had such good (and authentic) Indian food since I've been in Europe. And also I wanted to make a note about the service. There have been many reviews about bad service or something like that. Those waiters must have been replaced because the service we had was quite good. The waiter greeted us in Swedish, and when we asked him if he spoke English, he immediately began speaking English. He got us our water and our food in a timely fashion, and was nearby if we had needed anything else. It may be that we were in there at a less busy time, but I think the service was definitely not bad at all.

Come during the lunch rush, however, and it will likely be packed. Diners can choose from various entries or eat from the buffet, which (as I've been told) is relatively the same from day-to-day. What the actual foods are is a bit unclear if you don't speak Swedish, but nothing I had was bad. And everything in the restaurant is clearly labeled as to whether or not it's vegan, which is a huge plus. The pricing is acceptable (79 SEK, or $12, for the buffet) for Swedish standards. It's not a place I'd frequent on a regular basis, but it's worth going back to more than once. My meal was unique, tasty, and filling.
