A friend suggested meeting at Masala Kitchen when we were in town visiting, which is how I found myself eating there last week.
The menu for lunch is relatively simple, something that I am told is common in Gothenburg. Essentially, there are two lunch specials for each day, along with a vegetarian option that rotates. We all went with the meat-free selection, which was a veggie dal, some kind of okra dish with lentils and sauces, and we got naan on the side.
For what the food was, it was pretty tasty, and it was also filling. For 90 SEK (or about €10), the price was also extremely good. I do wish that there was more of a vegetarian option other than whatever the chef decides to make that day, but even so, it was good.
The service was fine. The restaurant itself is small, but there is a pretty quick turnover at lunchtime. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to eat here, but if you're in the area, it's maybe worth checking out. read more
