According to our sources (e.g. Friends we are staying with in Sweden), many restaurants in Sweden…read moredon't make money on their lunch menu. Since most locals don't eat out habitually, the lunch menu exists more to keep a restaurant on the public's radar rather than as a means to make a profit. Thus, many lunch menus present great deals to entice eaters to return later for a more lucrative dinner out. This is surely the case at Yalla Yalla. My husband and I were wondering around the Linné neighborhood, feeling peckish, when we noticed the lunch specials posted at this Mediterranean restaurant. For under ten bucks (65 kr), we got salad bar access, an entrée, coffee, and a cookie. It sounded good and we were hungry. We anticipated a quantity/quality trade off, but boy were we wrong. This meal was the intersection of excellent, cheap, and abundant. The salad bar included a wide variety of tasty pickled vegetables, cumin spiced potatoes, fried and plain pita, greek salad, olives, and assorted fresh vegetables. Our entrees (flank steak with potato purée and bernaise sauce for him; moussaka for me) were generously sized, delicious and artfully presented. For example, my husband's flank steak arrived on a wooden plank, the purée piped elegantly around the edges and surrounding pools of fresh bernaise and vegetables. Everything was seasoned excellently and seemed made of high quality ingredients. For reals, this would have cost at least $20 in San Francisco, and thats without the salad bar and coffee/pastry. Highly recommended, particularly for those looking to eat well on a shoestring.

A really nice we'll cooked meal at a sensible price as well…read more Worth checking out if you fancy a bite to eat.

The concept is like going to a circus as a kid,and there were lots of kids in the place when we went, but it didn't feel like only for kids like Chunky Cheese. You need to order from their app, and if you don't have wifi, they provide free wifi and, as my girlfriend discovered after a full day at work, her iPhone was almost dead, our waiter provided us with a battery bank to recharge her phone. The usual tapas you expect here in Sweden, and I enjoyed them all. Bacon wrapped dates, fish and chips, meatballs, cheese, etc. They have a fun cocktail menu and I enjoyed my cocnut rum concoction. You order and then get a message to go pick up your food. I didn't like going to pick up my food. It is crowded and there are people carpets dogs and chairs to weave in and out to get your food. Plus a little covid paranoid as I am, the less people I need to squeeze past, the better. Once you get to your seat there is a 2 level platform to put your small plates on between you and your tapas partner like a high wire act in the center ring of this circus. Oh, I forgot, when you come in, they give you some popcorn and the smell of popcorn is always a positive one for me. Overall I give this a 4 stars and look for an excuse to go back.

Loved the ambience, and the way it is set up. Yummy food in small quantities :) wish to go there…read moreagain for evening snack
