She is extremely kind and a great communicator, always quick to reply to our many questions. She has a brilliant way of pointing out small details that make a huge impact - she did a wonderful job at recommending things for our remodel that we would have never thought of! We loved the neutral colors that she helped us pick out for the kitchen so much that we decided to go with the same style throughout the rest of the house. With her help, it feels like we are living in a totally new house! Her contractor team was awesome, and she managed them perfectly. Sarah did an amazing job at project managing and making sure that we were always happy with the work that was getting done. We felt supported and informed every step of the way! We really can't recommend Sarah enough, and we can't wait to use her again for future projects!

The scope of work was extensive, covering everything from color palette selection and sourcing new furniture to seamlessly overseeing the entire remodeling process, including full bathroom remodels and the building of a custom fireplace. What set this experience apart was their exceptional professionalism and communication. Sarah's planning was meticulous, ensuring the project stayed on track and within budget. She was always reachable and highly responsive, making what could have been a stressful experience feel effortless. Shaniece's support in managing logistics and vendor coordination was invaluable, keeping the entire process running smoothly until the very last detail was finished. She has helped me rethink some very tricky design challenges in my older home. For example, I was not liking my dining room but couldn't figure out exactly why as I liked each piece but just it just didn't look right all together somehow. Missy brilliantly suggested the light fixture was too small, unremarkable and hung too high over the table. She suggested that changing it to something more dramatic that would make more of a statement would help bring the room together. I had never thought of the light fixture as being a problem. Really I had never thought of it at all, but sure enough once I made that change it was a dramatic improvement and led the way to me changing out one of the main pieces of art, getting rid of two side chairs and a putting a different side table in that looked good with the new modern chandelier. I love my dining room now! It's my eclectic style, but it's cohesive, and I never would have gotten there without Missy's consultation. She also just has great taste and such extensive experience that she has the perfect "eye", which allows her to quickly and with great accuracy nail the paint color or tile size that will look best, or warn you away from the problems you might run into with a particular fabric or an uncomfortable chair depth or a rug that's too small for the space.. She is also extremely practical in thinking about what will work with pets and kids. Missy really knows her stuff. It is great to see her getting so many accolades and industry recognition lately. Well deserved.

We approached Liz because of her Google reviews, (which I now must question the validity of those reviews), and she was paid a deposit to design our whole home. In the span of over one year, Liz never requested a face-to-face meeting or video meeting to get to know our design style. She never asked us a single question either verbally or in writing about what colors and fabrics we like or what to avoid. She never asked if we had pets or children or how we will use each space. She simply went off on her own and designed our living room based on photos we pinned on Pinterest. The designs required multiple revisions and hours of our time to get it to a state where we felt we were just okay with. Then came the estimate. Liz submitted a bill of $18k for our living room, but would not provide any details on where the products would be sourced, what fabric would be used, warranty information, reviews, etc. We were expected to hand over that amount of money with no guarantees we would be content with the items purchased, and, she only allows two returns per room. She was also tasked with our primary bathroom, which turned out to be another disaster. She never made one trip to the house, and she asked us, her customers, to take measurements of the bathroom and provide them to her. Her initial designs for the bathroom were confounding. It was a mix of tiki bar meets the Golden Girls. Again, we went through the same exercise of hours of input to get a somewhat okay design. This is when we realized we were doing her job. She purchased all of the items, had them delivered to our current home, and charged us her design fee plus cashed in on her trade discount. In addition, she relied on us and our GC to pick up orders and I had to coordinate all deliveries. At this point, we decided to cut ties with her because it was obvious she was in over her head, we were handling all logistics and her design aesthetic was not in line with what we envisioned. Perhaps Dorothy or Rose would appreciate it. We were stuck with the items she purchased ($9K), and we discovered that ALL of the bathroom fixtures are various shades of brushed gold. None of the items she ordered would work and it was a waste of money. When approached with our concerns, Liz lacked the business acumen to listen to our concerns and make things right. She wanted to retain 100% of the deposit for the whole house even though she worked on two rooms. When asked why she never requested a meeting, she responded with "I don't make friends with clients". Making friends was never my intention, but creating a thoughtful design was. One last point to her lack of engagement is that to this day, Liz does not know my husbands name and refers to him by his gmail handle despite being on multiple calls with the both of us. Do yourself a favor and research/interview interior decorators before deciding to go with HAD. I really wish I had performed more due diligence. This would have saved me a small fortune and a good amount of frustration with someone that is in the wrong business. **Everything stated in this review is documented in email exchanges with Liz Crider.**

I am not one to to break a contract but I did not feel the designers were utilizing my time but more importantly staying focused on my budget. As I bid my farewell, I decided to take the complete redo of my new home in my own hands. During this time, I was trying to keep my head above the water making design choices with tile, paint lighting, furniture, etc. In addition, I was the general contractor and hired the people to do the work. Then I met James, the owner and master designer of Holloway Design Group. As I was drowning in this project, I was at Sunnyroad Interiors Design Center picking out fabric. I saw James and randomly asked him what he thought about my fabric choices. James, on his own time, began to assist choosing stunning fabrics. Before I knew it, he was putting my mind at ease and I loved his choices. This was the serendipitous event. I am ever so grateful of this event because I met James! James has been working for me since then. James work ethic is on top, because he is organized with appointments, vendors and invoices. He keeps you informed but most importunately he listens. I actually was up front with James in the beginning and said, we need to be transparent with each other and we have. James is respected in the showrooms we visited and contractors that we have interacted with. James' eye for design is truly outrageously stunning, gorgeous and WOW! James is ahead on trends with interior design. He is a natural when putting colors together. I must admit when people come over and say, "WOW!" I have to respond, "It was James." In the end, James has snap and is a mover and shaker. I am honored to be working with him and I would have it no other way. We are still waiting for furniture, due to shortage, however I promise pictures in the future. If you question if you should hire James, call him and request to talk to me as a reference. I would be so happy to talk with you. James is the best!
