There was a bin with pre-made biscuits and other warm breakfast items, but the main attraction is the grill. There are a number of breakfast items available that are made fresh on the grill. I wish I had taken a picture of the Denver sandwich which is exactly what it sounds like...a large Denver omelet between two pieces of grilled toast. I had a combo with 2 meats, 2 eggs, and toast. The eggs were fresh which I had scrambled. I chose bacon and ham and got two slices of each. A slice of toast was included, and when I opened the box, there was also a nice serving of hash browns. The price point is unbeatable as all that I mentioned totaled $13. The grill staff was very friendly, and everything is fresh. I usually look for good breakfast places when I stop overnight in my travels, and Valley City didn't have any listed for just breakfast. So I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the gas station and found this cafe. Breakfast surpassed all my expectations, and I hope others in town and traveling through will take the time to stop here and have an outstanding meal to start their day! (They also serve lunch, and from what I could tell, broasted chicken is the star of that show!)
