I walked into the same supermarket/fruit stand yesterday (Saturday, October 11, 2026) and spoke with two managers. I let them know the situation, and I had the EBT hotline on speaker phone. I really don't care whether or not that cashier gets fired, receives a "talking to" or "warning," or nothing at all. I do not plan on going in there, giving them any of my hard-earned money. I shopped there regularly from 2006 through 2008, when I was living on East 12 Street & Avenue Z. I have been living here for just about a year. Going in there is typically a pleasant enough experience during the day. I have encountered this cashier, maybe 3 times, in the latter part of the evening (say after 10p.m.). A terrible experience.

Brought a relative over here, who was looking for a specific asian brand of cold relief medication and a muscle pain lotion.
