To say I've been skeptical about group travel until now, is a serious understatement. I love planning travel and I have a great group of like-minded travel buddies who I've traveled with extensively. Plus, I'm an Event Planner... So, why would I ever need to go through a travel company? Well, I've been casually following Travr trips on social media for a while after connecting through a friend. I can't lie, the trips do look fun -- the perfect balance of organized activities and downtime; which is imperative for someone like me. Finally, I saw a Peru trip announced. Peru has always been low key on my radar, but it's not a place my friends have been buzzing nonstop about. So, I decided to pull the trigger and book the Peru trip through Travr. 110% the best travel decision I've ever made! Communication with Travr owner, Clint and his team, was totally seamless. The itinerary had so many fun excursions with a good amount of downtime. I also loved the flow of the timeline (I'm a Wedding + Event Planner, so this got me super jazzed). I've said it a thousand times since going on the trip last month, but the friends I gained through Travr were truly the best part of the trip! Everyone has the same goal in mind - simply to have the experience of a lifetime and man, did we ever! By the end of day one, 12 strangers had become family. We have a Travr Peru group chat that we all still message in daily. Peru was such a magical place and our Travr guide really took the time to make sure we experienced everything each city had to offer. The hotels were in perfect locations for navigating around each city during our downtime. Our inter-country travel was pre-arranged. So walking out of the hotel, hopping right on the bus, moving quickly through the airport or train station, then arriving at the destination and having everything ready to go, made this trip seamless and so much more enjoyable! The icing on the cake is that Travr hires a photographer and videographer to capture the entire trip... Not only do we have beautiful photos and videos to look back on, but this allowed every guest to fully be present in the moment. HUGE shoutout to my Travr family. Can't wait for the next one! read more
