Vehicle loan - They outsource financial documentation upload and email to a 3rd party. Not secure. - Been dealing with issues for 4 months with communication issues with this out sourced company leading to charges to my loan. - When contacting Travis CU they push me back to the 3rd party company including decisions that are made on the loan. Even though they have the requested documentation reflecting all required dates and $$$$. So basically I have a loan out sources to a 3rd party. - Customer service when dealing directly with Travis CU is garbage, they will literally just read you a generic statement off of a sheet that will offer zero help or resolution. I received an email from 'Xfinity' stating there were problems with my bill and to update my payment method to avoid termination of service. The email account that received this message was not the one connected to my Xfinity account so I knew it was phishing. On 01JUL24, Travis CU cashed a check for $12 that was written on 23JUN23. I had completely forgotten about this check. After calling and talking with customer service I was told they DO NOT have a 180 day policy for outstanding checks. I was told that since I did not put a $20 stop payment on this check they processed it. So beware of your checking account. You have no protection with Travis CU. Taken from the Uniform Commercial Code website on 03JUL24,"The Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) is a collection of laws and regulations meant to harmonize the laws of sales and regulations across the U.S. The UCC tells banks that they are under no obligation to accept personal or business checks that are older than 180 days (6 months)." read more

I received a call from Travis CU regarding my 8/13/24 Yelp review. Obviously they have not done nothing regarding my review. Because today (Friday, Sept. 13, 2024) I received another Travis CU letter stating, "The Credit Union will automatically renew your account (CD) for the same term on the maturity date. ... You can log onto your online banking account to view your term certificate details and update maturity options." Why would I "update maturity options" when the Travis system was programmed NOT to look at these "maturity options"? If the system was programmed to look at these "maturity options" before sending out the letter, then they system would know that I already selected "Transfer to Existing Account (Savings)" and word the letter accordingly. When will Travis management finally have the IT department fix this wording issue that is confusing and not true? My career was programming and I know that the system can be programmed to look up the customer's CD "maturity options" since the system accesses the customer's record to obtain the Account Number, Current Term, Maturity Date, and Balance as of Notice Date to include in the letter. The quick and easy solution is to change the wording to "Your maturity option for this CD is ....... If you choose to change this maturity option, log in and .......". Travis CU, please do not call me regarding this update unless Travis is already enhancing the code to change the confusing and false wording in the letter. read more

When you initially start the process you're excited to look forward to increasing your credit score by making early on time payments and then quickly realize that dream died when you signed the dotted line. It has been a rocky ride with Traviscu. When you notate the confirmation number they do not input it into their system. You lose your high rating on credit score companies like Experian, TransUnion or any other. I believe it's a racket to fleece customers in order to maintain status quo for power and control over citizens. If you are looking to elevate your livelihood do not even walk into this bank EVER. Travis Credit Union - This is ridiculous!!!!! - Banks & Credit Unions Near Me - Vacaville, California

On December 22, 2023, I purchased a vehicle from Roseville Chevrolet. I was unhappy with the vehicle and decided to act within the purchase contract and trade the vehicle back for on that I would be happier with. As you would expect, The dealer and I were in disagreement regarding the limitations of the contract. Over the course two weeks I repeatedly advised the dealer to come get the vehicle and that i would not pursue financing. On 1/5/24, a financing bank contacted me asking for additional information to fund the loan. I advised them that I was not pursuing financing , which ended their attempt at funding the loan. On 1/11/24, Travis Credit Union contacted me, again asking for additional information to fund the loan. Again, I advised them that I was not pursing a loan on the vehicle and that the dealership was aware of it. The Travis CU representative then stated, "You know, you do have an obligation to the dealership". I advised her that I would not provide the information, I also stated that the contract betwen the dealership and myself was none of her concern, I then terminated the call. Two days later I received loan documents from Travis CU thanking me for choosing them to fund the loan and welcoming me as a new member. When I contacted Birchit Pachetti at the Indirect Funding department, she told me that Roseville Chevrolet had provided the needed information, the loan had been funded. After a day or two of settling my nerves some research by my attorney , it was discovered that I was not eligible to be a member of Travis CU for the following reasons, I do not a live, work, worship, or attend any school in Solano, yolo, Contra Costa, Merced, Napa, Alameda, Colusa, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Sonoma, or Stanislaus County. Nor am I a member of the military or civilian working at Travis Airforce Base, or immediate family of a current member. That information has led us to believe that a membership application was fraudulently completed by someone other than myself, or at minimum, false information was provided to Travis CU to enable them to fund the loan. When this was discovered I immediately contacted Birchit Pachetti via email asking to know who determined I was eligible to become a member and how they came to that conclusion? I have never received a response to that question nor has Travis CU attempted to contact me regarding my question. Within an hour of sending the above email, I was contacted by Angela Nickles from the finance department of Roseville Chevrolet. She stated that she had received an email concerning my loan from Travis CU. Soon into the conversation I asked Ms. Nickles how I had become a member of Travis CU? After a pause in the conversation she asked, "when would you like to bring the vehicle back?" She then asked that I do not discuss the matter with anyone else and to contact her directly regarding the return of the vehicle. A few days later the vehicle was returned and I was refunded my down payment minus a couple hundred dollars for a second key that I was never given to begin with. Worst experience I've ever had with Travis credit union. I got scammed by Expedia and was told by Travis credit union that I had to wait two billing cycles for them to take action on my stolen money. I have opened up two claims to have $300 refunded back to me from Expedia. And Travis credit union keeps sending me to card services voicemails and will not help me retain my funds. Any other bank would have given a provisional credit the same day that it happened, but Travis credit union has the audacity to not even flinch when it comes to my claims. I filed my claim in October, and now it is December and Travis credit union still has not helped me resolve the matter. read more

I truly DREAD working with this company EVERY MONTH. I used their services for a car loan in December of last year. They do not have a way to make a payment online or to set up recurring payments. One of the few times I was actually able to get a representative on the phone, I asked her to send me the ACH form for recurring payments. I filled this out promptly and returned it back. Almost a YEAR later and it still has not been processed. I have to use a phone number to pay my car payment every month and then they charge me a $10 FEE TO USE THIS SERVICE. Worst experience with a bank ever and it's not even my bank. Let me set the scene. I am a female living in Europe. I have a first name that is also a last name. So here it is a lovely summers evening in Europe, I'm quietly enjoying a gin and tonic in my quintessential garden when my iPhone screen illuminates. I look down and see a notification regarding a loan. Immediately I open the email as I have not applied for a loan. Concerned my identity has been compromised. To my relief the email was sent to me I error. It is for someone who must have a similar email address. As a lawyer, I don't disregard this email rather I reply as quickly as possible to inform Eileen she has the wrong email address. To my shock and awe she replies with a bit of sass, "this is the email I was given." Now generally speaking I don't wake up choosing to be extra sassy but in her case I'll hold off and be polite. After all I was raised in Canada, I have a nations reputation for nice on my shoulders. I reply again maybe the person misspelt their email but I can assure you I am not a married man in California looking for a mortgage. In my politeness, I also refrained from hitting reply all and including the customer at this point in time. What happens next, well I get a reply from the co-applicant, the wife. I leave it thinking this woman, Eileen, will exercise her duty of care as a bank employee when t comes to a customer's personal data. Wham was I wrong. Ping! A new notification. Hey Mr. Applicant please review and sign these documents in Docusign. Really!? So in reality I know have full access to open and review these documents with someone else's personal and financial information. Add to that fact, that Eileen is off on Monday and needs these back by Tuesday. So I reply all this time. I hear nothing. Thinking ok Eileen has actually done her job and has actually been able to get the correct address for Mr. Applicant I will just delete all of these emails and go into my deleted folders and delete them for good. Imagine my shock when this morning as I am enjoying a lovely brunch at a picturesque cafe my notifications light up again and I see Eileen's name. It is a reminder from Docusign to sign these documents. Now I am choosing sass. I emailed Mrs. Applicant separately and as of the time of writing have not had a reply from her. I then reply all again. The blatant lack of care in transmitting someone's personal and financial information is concerning. It is a security risk. Imagine if it had been sent to some Nigerian Prince needing financial assistance to get their inheritance this would have been their Willy Wonka Golden Ticket. It is a breach of trust and duty of care. If an employee charged with ensuring your information is safely stored and shared replies with such lack of professionalism when it is pointed out that they sent it to the wrong person you need to retrain your employees. Based on this experience, if I ever had to relocate to California and was looking for a financial institution I would opt for keeping my money and information in a mattress in an unlocked house before using this credit union. Have POA for spouse, quoting: "to make, execute, endorse, accept an deliver in the name of my attorney-in-fact for all CHECKS, NOTES ETC, or instruments of any nature as my attorney-in-fact. Travis credit union legal department will not recognized POA document? Travis Base Legal attorney's, suggested that I request what preceded this POA document, as other financial institutions recognize it. They have failed to provide any other legal document?.\ They Suggest that I open up new account with my son on it. As I auto payment coming in an going out of existing accounts...would they allow me to close existing accounts with out spouses signature? How/what makes this legal? If I have to close accounts an start over, may as well forget this credit union and transfer all funds to bank or other credit union. Major issues have developed over time with this group. Joined in 1979 and left recently. I miss the small town feel it had to begin with. The call center often has long periods of waiting on hold or not being answered at all. They charge huge fees for simple services that were once free. Issues with PG&E charging my account after service was terminated led to a conflict neither agency could resolve. This led to overdraft fees and finally account closure. A reasonable person could have seen the problem & resolved it but I never found that person. They act like a big bank now and it's why I left. Credit unions are supposed to be different. My husband made an online payment on our vehicle loan (we have the confirmation number from our primary bank) and yet their loan department didn't post it to our account and the girl who took my husbands call couldn't give us a straight answer as to why. Now we are dealing with trying to reverse late charges and finding out how much money is really left on the vehicle. I don't think I would trust this bank with another vehicle loan in the future. Incredibly frustrated with Travis Credit Union. My debit card became compromised and $250 was taken from my account. I called yesterday and they said it needed to post first- call back today and they open the dispute but then tell me the funds will NOT be returned to my account for 10 TEN business days! Apparently, Travis CU does NOT issue provisional credits, they rather burden their members. More and more this bank is becoming frustration- as a member we're JUST now getting a half way decent mobile app, our debit cards are crap. No tap to pay and often the chip doesn't even work- and what's worse, when your card is stolen or compromised- it's TEN business days without a debit card, or you can drive to a branch, but I was advised yesterday from customer service that they're short on supply so they may not be able to do anything. My parents have been members over 20 years, our entire family has accounts there but they want not be on my side when someone steals my money- how frustrating! read more

The TCU credit card does not offer a "Payoff" button, and upon discussing this with the representative over the phone she was "calculating" the payoff. Despite time spent on a 45 minute call, this did not occur, a balance of less than $5 remained on the card and they charged interest on the leftover amount. While it is helpful to have a bank provide credit card offers, this puts a significant damper on the ability to close out a debt, which in some cases may have the potential of harming a person's credit history. Other banks like BofA have accurate payoff options that provide a zero balance. Something to be aware of prior to applying or paying off such a credit card from TCU. read more

I've had an organization that has given me a receipt and compensation on their end but travis has never recognized or worked with their bank to reimburse me... when I told them I have a receipt, they told me it's not enough.
