We were very surprised that we were able to rent a pontoon same day for 3 hrs. We made reservations over the phone and were able to split the costs when we arrived. We've driven pontoons before but the instructions on how to operate their equipment was helpful and direct. The boat was very clean, all equipment (life jackets, anchor, radio, canvas umbrella) meticulously maintained. The weather was perfect. We will definitely use them again.

I booked weeks in advance and had some questions, which were answered to my satisfaction over the phone. We booked it for the TC condominium location. The only negative is that I wish they warned me over the phone or somewhere on their website that there were no change rooms... most people had to change in the car. The location/parking was easy to find, but there were no signs anywhere to direct us to the check in location on the beach (small hut). I called the phone number for the business and someone picked up right away though and directed us to check in. The rest of the trip was smooth sailing (literally)! The check in process was efficient with the usual signing of waivers, safety talk etc. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They helped us get on to the boat safely and also helped us bring up the cooler, which was beyond our expectations. The boat was in good condition and we had no issues with it. Once our 2 hours was up, we made our way back to the dock where the staff were ready to help us dock and get out of the boat. They all seemed like very hardworking and eager employees! Overall, it was a wonderful experience! Everyone was super helpful and we had a blast!

A lot of companies charge around $600+ then they throw a $125 fuel charge on it as well. This was the average cost for a full day rental when I was looking. Then I came upon H2O Sports Rentals. I called the number listed and the owner, Nick, answered and was nothing less than professional and knowledgeable. For a full day rental, fuel included, was $400!! He explained everything and in order to book the rental, I had to place a deposit. There was 4 adults and 5 kids total. We rented the pontoon for the full day. Nick met us at the dock on time and went over the boat with me. The trip was amazing and the boat ran great! It's perfect for a large family wanting to relax on the water for a day. When we came back to the dock at the end of our rental, Nick again was there on time and helped us load it up. Without a doubt, I will be using this company again. Thanks for the amazing trip Nick!

We had such high hopes for a great day on the water. We had three families and rented a very large…read morepontoon and tube for tubing. We were told to be at the landing at 10:30 for an 11 o'clock reservation. We were greeted with a man very irritated with us dropping off our coolers and bags. Apparently we were supposed to walk everything down from the parking lot. Not a problem but we were not told and there wasn't a sign. We didn't need to start our day with attitude but no big deal. The boat shows up at 11:10. We now have been waiting for 40 minutes. Kind of irritating but we are looking forward to a good day, so again, we shake it off. We take the boat out and it immediately stalls. We can not go faster than a very slow speed. We tried calling for about a half hour with no answer. We finally get someone and they say the fix to this problem, is to go sit at the sand bar for half an hour. Didn't send anyone out, they just want us to go sit. After sitting for about 1-5 to 2 hours, trying to make the best of the situation, we tried it again and it's still stalling. After calling them back again, they were angry with US. We are now arguing with them by phone and text in the middle of the lake on our fun day out. They have no solution and the only thing they offered was to take $100 off of our rental. We couldn't use the boat or the tubes and paid $600 for the day. The last thing they said, as you can see from the picture of the text, is that we need to still pay for the gas and "congratulations" on making them give us money back. They couldn't have been more petty at this point. We would have been more upset with the absurdity of them asking that, but we didn't use any gas because THE BOAT DIDN'T WORK. They ended up refunding us $225 after all that. We still paid too much but it's not worth the fight. Sometimes things happen that are unfortunate, but to be treated so terribly the entire time was just not right. To get nasty with us and not even come out to see if they could fix the boat, was unprofessional. The text message was rude and uncalled for. I would not recommend this company and certainly would never use them again.

Jillian, the education officer, engaged our girls in numerous activities exploring the biology and environmental challenges of the Great Lakes. Marcell, the cook, keep us well feed; managing to include some of my favorite vegitarian dishes. Our 5 days aboard created friendships and expanded horizons in many directions. The crew of the Inland Seas was wonderful and encourage everyone to enjoy the science and the sailing. The HIGHLIGHT of the trip was looking at plankton under the super cool microscope. We loved the campground. It had direct access to the Betsie River, showers and bathrooms were very well.maintaimed a clean...hot water was never a problem. There's Frisbee golf and horseshoes available..firewood was a generous amount for the money. There's 400 acres of state land to the north directly abutting the property. Mostly trailer and tent camping ( we had hammocks and were allowed to choose the spot we liked with the best trees for setup). They do have a canoe and kayak livery that currently only operates on weekends. I rarely gush over a business that doesn't bring me hot delicious food and cocktails...this is an exception to the rule. Hands down one of the best camping experiences. I have been disperse camping the last few years in order to avoid people and some of the issues that come with group camping ( loud drunk ppl...fascist property managers etc) this was about as good as family camping will ever get and the location is incredible. There's a very clean Mobil gas w a pizza place about 2 miles from the campground...and plenty of activities in all direction. Thank you so much for helping make our fishing trip camping headache free and amazing.
