Our agent, Karlyn, went above and beyond to make sure our trip stayed on track. Due to unexpected road closures, we missed our scheduled boat departure, but Karlyn acted quickly and was able to get us on the next boat. Her responsiveness, professionalism, and dedication turned what could have been a stressful situation into a seamless experience. We truly appreciate everything she did and highly recommend Alaska Tours and Karlyn for exceptional customer service.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM…read more If I could do zero stars I would. We bought a ticket online and my son showed up 30 mins prior to departure, as requested. The office in Seward was closed up tight and no vehicle was in the parking lot. By the time of departure still no one had shown up. Calling the office number for Seward resulted in a "this number is no longer in service" message. The Anchorage office rang but no one answered. This has completely ruined our family weekend that was planned and resulted in additional costs to try and salvage the weekend for us. I have zero faith I will receive a response from my email or phone call. And zero faith the money spent will be returned.

Aside from the van being very nice and well designed, Carolyn, the owner, is so professional and kind. I lost the keys to the van on a hike about 2 hours out of town and was stuck outside during winter and when I called for help she had a preplanned solution to it that helped me get back in quickly. It was my first time driving on icy roads and I did cause some damage to the van, which was worrying because I was afraid of telling the owner directly about this, but she was incredibly professional about it, reassuring, and helpful solving it. To make matters worse, in a fit of exhaustion upon returning the vehicle, I locked the only set of keys in the van. She was unbelievably patient despite a whole comedy of errors on my behalf. Overall lovely experience with this company and highly recommend.

He showed off Anchorage in the very best way, and he's got awesome, interesting stories. Highlights: * We saw a moose in the wild, almost immediately! * The land is just stunning. We got perfect weather and, again, a fantastic guide. * Brooks totally pampered us - brought everyone cold waters, tons of snacks, and a comfy, pristine van to ride in. * Overall I'm uncomfortable with penned animals, but the conservation center has a pair of rescued brown bears and a trio of black bear rescues, and it was cool to see them and learn their stories. Wishes: * Wish people could be grouped by level of preferred activity. We had the bad luck to book at the same time as some folks from a cruise ship, and they didn't want to walk anywhere, spend time outdoors - they even made us skip lunch and come back early because of their cruise timeline. That was a big bummer.

Alaska is absolutely beautiful. It was great to be able to hear so many interesting facts as well as background on each town, glacier, or area we passed. There were snacks and waters for all guests, which definitely came in handy! 10/10 would recommend! Would love to come back in the spring or summer and take another tour.

The owner of AlaskaVacationStore - Wigi Tozzi - lacks courtesy, etiquette, customer service and professionalism. He has no idea what 'customer satisfaction' means. I am really surprised the way this company operates and how they still manage to be in business?? Experience Details: Made first enquiry call to Wigi and thought of him to be trustworthy tour operator. He sent impressive tour details and quoted a very high price. Even then, I fell for the plan and trusted him - BIG MISTAKE. As soon as I took the bait and made the commitment, his communication style changed from excellent to I-do-not-care attitude towards me. All communications were always one sided...initiated by me... never once did I get a call back from Wigi... Usually the vendor calls customer for payment, but in this case, surprisingly, I had to call him 10 times so that he can accept my payment and finalize the bookings. Due to the high price quoted by Wigi, I had to cut bear watching tour from my itinerary to save myself some money, at the end of the planning Wigi increased the quoted price anyways siting hotel unavailability and other reasons. He completed bookings very late in June even when I said YES in March. His strategy was to make me wait for 2 months, so that at the last moment he can increase price and I'll have no option but to say yes to whatever price and hotel changes he offers me. Terrible and shameless way to make money out of your clients! This has been by far the worst experience for me. AlaskaVacationStore works purely on commission basis and doesn't care what their customers wants. Wigi Tozzi is by far the worst tour operator I have ever done business with. He lacks courtesy, formal communication skills, ethics, and flexibility. He made me pick high priced hotels as part of the package and later charged the extra price to me. In our trip, we could not take the Talkeetna Air Taxi due to bad weather and I asked Wigi for refund. After 2 months of numerous frustration filled phone calls and emails, he finally refunded the amount. I work in service industry myself and after coming back from my Alaska vacation, at least 8-10 of my American co-workers, managers and friends made serious enquiries about AlasaVacationStore and I honestly told them - NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH WIGI. 4 months of terrible customer service experience!!
