We hired the whole hotel for 24 hours and these were a great 24 hours. The food served in the duration were great we also had people stop the night before the weding and the day and night after and the service was still top notch. The award winning food is great and a good mixture of drinks are available. Lovely leisure centre and spa and beautiful topiary gardens and views. Highly recomended either as a wedding venue, hotel, restaurant even to pop in for a cup of tea and cake! Lovely, welcoming reception staff. The hotel has a warm welcoming feeling and is very historical inside expecially the wooden pannelling and the beautiful room 4 with the hidden priest hole! We will definitly be celebrating our wedding anniversaries here!

However, overall hotel room comfort did not meet expectations. When we checked in, our room was very hot due to the sun coming in the windows. The AC didn't work properly and the front desk was very slow in finding someone to solve the problem. Because we faced the street, it was too noisy to have the windows open at night to get fresh air. Perhaps I would have felt differently if given a room in the back with a view of the gardens. This was our least favorite hotel out of the six we stayed in during a 7-day walking tour.

The staffs were courteous and kindly checked for availability for us. We then were greeted and seated soon after. The service at Fig was great. The tea selections are great. The High Tea set are delicious and quite a lot! I actually enjoyed the scones quite a lot even though I don't like it that much in the States. Quality, Service, and Experience definitely worth more than 22£ per person.
Premier Inn

I'm going to give this 5 stars for being a great Premier Inn, not for the grade of hotel…read more It's brand new, built by the river next to the Worcester County Cricket ground, which on my visit was completely underwater, as you can see in the picture! Rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable with all the usual facilities that you would expect from a Premier Inn - en suite bathroom, large TV, hairdryer, tea & coffee facilities (no biscuits though), choice of pillows for the bed, and 30 minutes free Wi-Fi. Minimal, but all you need for a good night's sleep - in fact, they do say that they will refund your money if you don't sleep properly. I was tempted to put this to the test as I didn't really get back to sleep after being woken up by the room upstairs returning at 1.30am, but that's not the fault of the hotel so it would have been churlish of me to complain. The check-in has two automated desks similar to ATMs or airline check-ins that are very easy to use, although there was a very helpful and friendly staff member on duty as well to help guide you through the process if needed. They also reassured me that the night watchman would keep an eye on the car in the car park and wake me up if the rising flood waters, which were already covering a third of the car park, threatened to engulf it. The bar and restaurant is in the building, and the staff both at the bar and at breakfast could not have been more helpful and friendly. I didn't eat the evening meal in the bar, but the menu looked OK and reasonably priced. Had I not had a prior engagement I would have eaten here quite happily. As usual at Premier, breakfast is extra but it's worth buying one as you can eat all you want from the buffet. There was a good choice of hot food to order, including vegetarian sausages (yay!). This might be because the place is new and they're trying to make a good impression (it worked!), but I hope it lasts, as this is a very convenient location close to the city centre when visiting Worcester.

I telephone the travelodge expecting to have to speak to many different people to try and get a contact name should i have to phone to sort out a problem and my husband said well i'ts a travelodge so you cant expect much, well was he wrong. I couldn't have ask for better staff or nicer people to look after my son while he was there. I spoke to a lovely lady named Tracy and she assured me that they would welcome him and make sure he knew where he was going would check his sat nav settings and generally look out for him, what a wonderful service, I had all the names of the staff who would be on that weekend so that i knew who to speak with. My son managed without incident to arrive, enjoy the entire weekend and then leave on the sunday, I got a phone call from Tracy to say that he had checked out she made sure he was ok and that he was going to fill up with petrol and get a snack and set off. SHe even made sure he had changed his wet socks, this nearly made me cry lol I will always be grateful to her and the staff at Travelodge for their kindness and care, top marks and i havent even mentioned the great price for the two nights, wonderful, I will now always give my custom to travelodge when travelling.

Here are my ratings: Location (5 Stars) - Right downtown and an easy walk around High street. Very dog friendly and very nice front desk staff. Bar (5 Stars) - Gorgeous inside bar area, which we saw both from ground level and via the upper catwalk to our room. Service was friendly and engaging. Patio (5 Stars) - Steller outdoor patio on a very nice day. We relaxed with our drinks and never wanted this experience to end. Dinner (5 Stars) - As fine a dining experience as we had during our week in the Cotswolds. We took dinner in a very nice dining room with comfortable seating and excellent meal choices. Breakfast (5 Stars). Breakfast was in the dining room and featured good selection, nice dining room, timely service, strong coffee, good portions, and tasty choices. You can't do much better than that. Accommodation (4 Stars). One thing we found about historic UK Inns is that climbing up the stairs with luggage is required. Yes, they'll help you, but we're starting to get a little old for this. We can't recall what Gayle ordered, while my choice was some sort of tandoori chicken dish. My pint of local beer and her class of chardonnay were also at the table. Everything tasted good, even more so with a relaxing atmosphere and interesting table neighbors. Service was pleasant, but oddly fast on the food coming out, while slow for the drinks.
