It was my boyfriend's 30th birthday and all he wanted to do was be surrounded by great company and beer, so what better way than to ask the traveling tap to join us! Never having done this before, I did my research and lots of it! To be honest I didn't know there two 2 competing companies to choose from. I actually called the Pedal Pub first but no one seemed to answer the phone during business hours. Then I saw the Traveling Tap and gave them a call. Right off the bat, Dan was extremely helpful, answered all my questions, and I mean ALL my questions. I called him everyday for 2-3 days needing my questions answered. It was great and totally convinced my that Traveling Tap was the way to go. Might I add, pedal pub did call me back and left a message but it was too late already. Better luck next time! On the day of the main event, my friends and I met with Mark and Veronica, who were thee best hosts ever! We were Markie Mark and funky bunch. Any who, Mark was great at suggesting bars to go to, barking orders when to coast and pedal and it was awesome! It was definitely a work out too! Veronica also made sure that no one was left empty handed and even started a game of social drinks for every car, person, other pedal pub bets that gave us a woo hoo! We had no negative feedback also, after the whole attack fiasco. They were also extremely nice, friendly, I would ask for them again. All in all, it was a great experience, we went to bars that we've never been to before, and everyone had a blast (not to mention feeling good, feeling great)! I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to experiment with different bars, drinking in public (in a good way), and just overall pedaling and drinking which is tough work!

Had the best birthday on traveling tap!!

At the appointed time we loaded our trolley where we got our "ghost glasses" and our candles and away we went. We were entertained with stories of the old mansions and landmark around downtown Minneapolis. We got off the trolley at a couple of stops to see some of the haunted places and hear the stories. It was a chilly night but the trolley was warm and they also provided blankets to keep toasty. I will be going back for some of their other tours. If you are new to the area, want to do something different for a date night or just want to learn some fun history about Minneapolis, I recommend this tour. It was so fun!

This is a family owned business and they do a pretty good job of running. The tour guide was very informative about the places we were passing by. They offer a variety of tours, but we opted for the narrative day tour. It was a good amount of time for the tour, not too short, not too long. There is street parking and also they said you could park at the church across the street. The pillsbury house is the meeting point. It looks like they do tours as well but i didnt inquire about it. They do have ADA accommodations as well.

Knowmad gets my highest recommendation from our initial phone conversation to having a Knowmad…read morespecialist see us off at the airport for our return trip home. We spent an unforgettable 10 days hiking the (express!) Inca trail to Machu Picchu and visiting Lima, The Sacred Valley, Aguas Calientes and Cusco. I could write 10 pages about how much we loved traveling with Knowmad so I'll try to stick to the highlights. My husband and I usually handle all of our own travel planning, but when we came across Knowmad while researching how to visit Machu Picchu we realized we would probably get a lot more out of a trip to Peru traveling with specialists from the country. This was 1000% true and working with Knowmad made planning our trip so easy and fun. Our travel specialists Renee and Shannon found a way for us to do everything we wanted to do (and so much more!) while staying within our budget. They were remarkably thorough with answering my countless questions and we could not have been more prepared for our visit, with very minimal effort on our end. Once we met up with our Knowmad guide, Fernando, in Cusco every day of our trip was amazing and we learned so much about the Inca culture and the Andes while having a ton of fun and going at our own pace. By the time we made it to Machu Picchu it was so much more meaningful because we had an understanding of what makes it such a special and mystical site. The Inca trail was absolutely breathtaking (and I'm not talking about the altitude ) and we couldn't have done it without Fernando as our fearless guide. He looked out for us every step of the way and made us feel like family throughout our time with him. Our trip wouldn't have been nearly so memorable without him. Another highlight was our e-bike ride through the Sacred Valley with our awesome guide Kirvi, who was so kind and on top of making sure we were safe and even getting some awesome photos and videos along the way. Our driver Abraham made us feel so welcome and kept us moving along and safe throughout our trip. The restaurants and hotels Knowmad arranged for us were excellent, and our picnic in the Sacred Valley and Pachamanca experience were unbelievable. Thank you Knowmad for making our trip such an incredible experience we will never forget!

At $15 per person, I expected more than what turned out to be a rushed experience. The tour was advertised as an hour but barely lasted 40 minutes. We spent a significant amount of time sitting at round tables in regular rooms, which felt like filler. With punny jokes from the tour guide. Out of the entire tour, we were in the actual caves for maybe 20 minutes at most. We spent some time discussing the benches were used for mushroom growth. Then Dillinger's favorite car was inside the cave which really felt like a garage. That we walked right by with no mention of. Then there was small hallway that was filled with trash at the end that was the entrance to an old speakeasy. I have to say it's not bad if you're looking to kill time but you can easily skip this stop. While the history shared was interesting, it felt like we didn't get the immersive experience we were hoping for. Overall, it wasn't worth the price, and I left feeling disappointed. There is a small private parking lot for the caves. It seems most people do the tour and the gangster tour together.
