This is one of the few independent travel shops in Solihull and their main focus is on luxury holidays. I was a little disappointed to find they didn't have anything in my price range as their holidays are very costly but they also look and sound very nice. The staff here were very friendly and polite as they greeted me from the moment I walked in and offered their services. Most travel agents I have been to have tried to sell the holiday to me there and then. Here they didn't do that! Instead they took the time to find out what type of a holiday I was after and talked me through a range of possibilities without any pressure. Unfortunately they were all out of my budget. Not impressed with TravelBag's use of premium phone lines. I was charged £6.20 for a call to TravelBag to book a hotel room. Most of the call time was taken up by me being on hold waiting for their operator. Even less impressed when their travel consultant's (Mr Ian Gillespie) response to my husband's request for a refund of the charge was: if you call us, you must pay. Completely unhelpful when I went in to book a holiday and discovered that the price had gone up by over £2000 from the price quoted on the internet two days before. The consultant - Mia basically said it was nothing to do with them and we should have booked it sooner!! We have since discovered (through contacting Head Office) that in fact it was an error and we have been able to book the holiday after all but not through the Solihull branch we will never set foot in the Solihull branch again.
