Members of my family have been using trailfinders for 30 years. However my mother and father booked and paid a deposit for with them in January 2019 for a holiday later in 2019. Subsequently my mother was diagnosed with incurable cancer. When approached about cancelling the flights (Trailfinders had not passed on any deposit money to the airline - British Airways) they have been told there's no refund at all. British Airways have confirmed directly to us that they would have refunded had any money been transferred over. The destination booked in the USA on hearing this news refunded the holiday money for accommodation immediately. So Trailfinders have pocketed the money and have no intention of refunding. Trailfinders in Birmingham are one of the best travel experts that I know, & have had the pleasure in using. They know their holiday destinations inside out and provided me with a tailored itinerary suited to my needs on my whirlwind bespoke private tour of India 2 years ago. Of all the travel services ive ever used, and there have been quite a lot now, i will always ensure that i at least get a quote from Trailfinders as they often turn out to have the cheapest prices on flights and packages. This was the case again last autumn when i booked my trip to south america. the staff are generally young but at the same time very experienced and knowledgeable about the destinations they cover, and nothing seems too much trouble for them to research for you and find out. I was probably in the shop for a good hour or so and was really well looked after, leaving the place with a booked flight (or actually a series of international and internal / domestic flights) that were a good £320 cheaper than prices id receieved from other travel companies. I cant vouch for Trailfinders enough, and this particular store is one of the best of the Trailfinders bunch. Have been booking with Trailfinders for many years and if today was my first experience I wouldn't be going back. As it is will go again next week but will make sure I have a different agent to make our booking with. First time I have ever come out of there feeling disappointed. read more
