Dear travel to haram Agency
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the extremely unsatisfactory service provided by your agency during our Umrah trip in January 2025. My family of 14 entrusted you with arranging our pilgrimage, yet we encountered numerous issues that have caused significant distress and financial loss:
False Accommodation Promises:
We paid £1,400 based on the promise of "Masjid view" rooms in Medina. Not only was this promise not honored, but the accommodation provided was entirely different from what was advertised.
Misrepresentation of Hotel Bookings:
We were falsely informed that our Mecca hotel booking had been canceled, only to later discover that no booking had ever been made. Instead, we were placed in a lower-quality hotel while your agency retained the extra funds.
Failure to Meet Financial Obligations:
After five days in Mecca, the hotel evicted us due to non-payment by your agency. During this critical period, repeated attempts to contact your representative, Salman, went unanswered.
Inadequate Transportation During Ziyara:
Our experience during Ziyara was marred by your driver's abrupt decision to force us off the bus, which left my elderly mother and young child stranded for over an hour.
Disorganized Arrangements in Medina:
In Medina, instead of receiving the accommodations we paid for, we were split into random rooms on different floors. Moreover, our luggage was mishandled and dumped on another floor, further contributing to the chaos.
Unnotified Flight Cancellations:
Our return flights were canceled without any prior notification; we only learned of this issue at the check-in counter, creating further complications.
Missing Promised Rawda Visit:
We specifically paid for a package that was to include a Rawda visit--which was not provided--and we did not get the opportunity to visit the Rawda as promised. This omission significantly detracted from the spiritual experience we had anticipated.
Lack of Accountability:
After collecting our payment, Salman abruptly cut off all communication, leaving us with no recourse or explanation.
Due to these serious issues, I am now compelled to report this matter to the relevant authorities, including the British regulatory bodies and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in order to seek redress and prevent other travelers from experiencing similar difficulties.
I request a prompt investigation into these matters, a full refund of all payments made, and a formal apology. Please respond within 14 days of receiving this letter to confirm the actions you will take.
Yours sincerely,
Helina khanom
