A great stay away from the bustling area of Rome, but still close enough to take public transport…read morevia Bus or Metro into the city. All about a 10-15 min walk from the apartment. The apartment complex is clean, modern, with working A/C as well as Wi-Fi. There is access to a communal kitchen which makes it convenient to store your food or even cook if you are so inclined. The cleaning staff does a great job cleaning the rooms and are incredibly kind and honest, they didn't touch any of our personal belongings that were laying around the room- even paper scraps/receipts. The rooms were quiet, though you may hear some guests coming in and out but overall a super quiet and comfortable area. The bathroom may not have all the usual toiletries but does provide liquid soap. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed I slept on during my 2 weeks traveling through Italy! Downstairs there is enough seating to lounge on sofas, an outdoor patio as well as vending machines for some quick hot coffee, snacks or water. The staff is super considerate and quick to provide service. One of the nights, we had arrived around midnight from Paris, France and was unable to enter the room (we didn't have a key and the receptionist had gone home for the night) but one of the staff came to the apartment in 5 minutes! Definitely, would recommend this place if you're looking for something comfortable and quiet to come back to after touring around Rome.

At first we were worried because we didn't know what to expect but saw very good reviews on Expedia. We were very pleasantly surprised! It's in a more rural area near the Vatican, but it is a very gorgeous oasis to the populated city of Rome. The staff here were very nice and super helpful! Upon arrival the receptionist(?) Jiada was amazing in supplying information and suggesting places to visit in Rome as well as giving us information about the metro and bus stations very close by. Without her, we would have been lost! As for the apartments, the complex is very beautiful and has a small fountain in the center of the structure with turtles inside (adorable!). The rooms are very nice and clean-with great necessities not offered by hotel rooms. The room we had included a fridge, stove, oven, TV, bathroom, shower, as well as the accessibility to laundry machines. To say the least, this was perfect for our stay in Rome. Recommend to everyone and, upon returning to Rome, will absolutely stay here again!

We stayed at the Wanderlust Apartment for three weeks in February 2016…read more Emmanuele and the staff from From Home to Rome were very helpful, professional and available. They provided a crib and highchair on our request which was immensely helpful with 2 year old daughter. All communications were clear and quick, in perfect English. Our deposit was refunded quickly after our departure. Emmanuele arranged transportation to and from the airport and also helped with information about a day trip outside of Rome. We really appreciate his help and professionalism.

We have also used them to arrange car service to/from the airport and that, too, has been seamless. Emanuele, the property manager and Sara, the booking consultant, are both easy to work with. This year, during our stay, we were pleased to see they have upgraded their services to provide remote access upon arrival (no more waiting for the agent to let us in) and videos showing all the aspects of the apartment, such as how the appliances work. Having lived in Rome previously and also rented from many other agencies in the subsequent years, we have never found anyone as good as FHTR. If there were more than 5 stars available to award, I would give them. And, yes, they speak very good English, too, if that is a concern for you.

My mother-in-law is elderly and getting around with her took more time than expected. Still, we arrived at the staging area and the staff was still very pleasant and accommodating. You can tell they were getting us to hurry because they know the area would be overrun with other tour groups. They really wanted us to have the best time and experience there. And they sat us in a very good spot for the Wednesday audience with the Pope. I would definitely recommend this company.

Great tours! We did the Colosseum and Vatican tour. The Colosseum tour was with Ferdinando and his…read moreknowledge and passion for what he was showing us was obvious. He is definitely highly recommended. He is an archaeologist as well so he had a lot of fascinating things to share with us. We actually ran into him on three separate occasions in Rome by chance and he was great to talk to each time. The Colosseum tour we took also included the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill (both even more fascinating than the Colosseum in my opinion). The Vatican tour was with Claudia and she was equally as knowledgeable and fun! She obviously knew the folks she needed to to get around in this massive complex without having to wait for anything. The "no-line" entry most tours get has lines here. She had the hookup to get us even past those lines. The tour starts through the Vatican Museum and it was very crowded at the time we were there. She fought to make room for us to get in front of the masses to get a close look at all the things she wanted us to see. It was great to see her genuinely care about our experience. Just about every other tour group we saw in this places had at least 30 people in them. Both tours we took with Real Rome Tours had less than 10. We all had an equal opportunity to experience these beautiful sights with great knowledgable folks who even stuck around to answer any questions we had. They also give great recommendations on restaurants and other places you need to see while in Rome. Gerard was also a pleasure dealing with while booking our tours. He is well organized and gave us a great alternative when we wanted to do the Colosseum Underground tour that wasn't available. It worked out perfectly for us. I couldn't recommend Real Rome Tours any more.
