She provided us recommendations on hotels to stay in the cities we wanted to visit, and found our flights and hotels to accommodate the budget range we provided her. The hotels she booked us at were all within walking distance or a short cab ride to the places we wanted to see. Gigi even followed up with us a few days prior to our trip to remind and make sure we brought all the essentials. She even checked in on us on our first day of arrival to make sure we got to our hotel okay and there were no problems. She even went above and beyond with re-sending us all our flight and hotel itinerary information on day 5 of our trip, as we could not locate it for some reason on our laptops and phones. Pretty much felt comfortable the whole trip that we had a life line back home in Gigi if worst came to worst. But definitely appreciative of all the research she put in having us enjoy our 10 day trip in Thailand worry free! Thanks so much Gigi will definitely contact you for my next vacation to plan.

However, on my last trip to Kauai, Dorotea dropped the ball big time. Instead of letting her know what a terrible job she did on my return I just called and told her, her services were no longer needed. To this day, I'm still not sure what happened but it ruined our trip. When my sis, daughter and I got to Honolulu on our return flight home, we had to pay several hundred dollars extra for our luggage because of whatever it was that she hadn't done a through job completing. I don't know what we would've done if we didn't have enough funds to pay the added expenses. This happened about three years ago and I wish I had written this review back then because my memory would have had a better recollection of details. Don't use this travel agency!

We worked with Cathy and while trying to decide on a destination (we had several on our list), were impressed at her in depth knowledge of what seemed to be everything related to traveling. She's very passionate and experienced as a traveler, as well as in her field as an agent. Her advice and insight definitely led us to feeling confident in all of our planning decisions. Cathy put together several itineraries for us and was always available, with a quick turn around time whenever we had any questions. Working with a travel agency can also be really pricey, but Carefree will work with you to customize a package that will fit within your budget. I especially appreciated Cathy's patience and all of the time she spent with us, whether it was communicating in person, on the phone, or email. Thank you again, Cathy, for making the planning of our honeymoon such a breeze.

The woman who said she could help me didn't even let me finish stating my problem (not even halfway through) when she just started nodding her head vigorously and saying she wouldn't help me. I walked out less than 5 minutes after I walked in. It was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional to not even let me ask her my question. Not to mention that when I walked in, there were about 4 people there but no one attempted to help me until after a solid 30 seconds of standing there like a deer in the headlights. I took my business elsewhere (to VeryBest Travel in Bonita, CA) and they were not only willing to solve my problem, but did so in less than an hour. It doesn't cost anything to be nice and to hear a customer out to see if you can help them. Obviously, my problem wasn't so "impossible" to solve that less than an hour later another travel agency was able to help me and did solve my problem. Needless to say, I will NEVER be returning here.

We won't use Natalie's services again and don't recommend her. She was not timely in getting back…read morewith us on multiple occasions which created increased costs and high stress. We asked her to help us book a trip to Europe and really needed her help with booking the airline tickets thinking she could help us find the lowest costs while also using our points to upgrade. (For those that use points for overseas upgrades, you know how valuable they are and it's a needle in a haystack to find that one flight that takes much lower points for a confirmed upgrade!) Usually, I'm the one that does all this but my husband insisted it would be a lot less time and stress to use a travel agent. Ultimately, I still did the legwork to find the flights we booked. When we asked Natalie to book our flights, she waited to get back with us and the class of service we could have upgraded to with points was gone. So I found new flights and again, after my husband gave her the card number we wanted her to use, she didn't respond, and again the prices went up and the class of service we requested was no longer available on the outbound. But because we had already told her to book, AND SHE WOULDN'T PICK UP The PHONE AND CALL US BACK, or email us, we had no idea if she was planning on booking, had a booking on hold, or wasn't doing anything. We didn't want to double book, so we kept calling and texting but trying not to be "pests". Again, we lost the flights we wanted because the price went up and the upgrades were gone. When she finally booked the tickets, we didn't get the class of service on the way out. Thank goodness I went through our booked tickets with a fine tooth comb before we left for our trip or it would have never happened! I realized she had booked my husband as a female. When I called the airline to ask them to change it, they said they couldn't honor our request because her name was the person "in charge" of the tickets and so we had to go through her again. It was an absolute nightmare and I'm sure caused more headache for her as well. So, we had to again wait for her to respond and ask multiple times for her to fix this for us. It was really frustrating! What was supposed to be a nice gesture by my husband to save me time and help us find the lowest price tickets, was really stressful and cost us over a $1,000 more between her price and the ticket prices increasing multiple times when we couldn't get a hold of her. If we EVER use a travel agent in the future (or you do), make sure you're also named as someone who can change your own darn tickets or call the airline and ask questions. That was absolutely insane to find that she was the only one that could make any changes. (That was a suggestion made by the airline btw). Ugh... And yes, it was a fantastic trip once there!

Unfortunately, there were some issues we had with travel planning for our honeymoon. Communication was the biggest issue. There would be times where I would message via text and not get a response or I would get one a couple of days later. I understand we have personal stuff to take care of, but a simple response would be appreciated. I think this caused a bit of stress for my husband and I as we had to wait around for an answer. There were things that did not go as planned on our trip such as having to cancel our car rental and museum passes not working when trying to pick up. I think if you really want to be involved in your travel planning and not feel stressed, it might be best to plan on your own.
