Our appetizer arugula salad with Parmesan was delicious. We shared a pasta with salmon dish and a vegetarian pizza. Both were generous portions and superb. I sat at an outdoor table and was using Google Translate to read the menu. My observant server asked if I'd like an English menu, and of course, I said "yes please" (I took a picture of the menu and included it with this review) I ordered the Orecchitte diManzo al Limone, which is beef strips with sweet peppers, pasta, etc in a lemon sauce. I also ordered a side salad. Tired from sightseeing all day, I ordered my meal take away. My meal was absolute perfection. The beef strips were tender and not overcooked. The sweet peppers, pasta, and lemon sauce were amazing together. Also, the prices are very reasonable as well..

We ate dinner there on October 5 - but first, an explanation of what led us to this place: I've…read morespent a rather significant amount of time in Germany during the past 41 years. My husband & I drink only water with (non-breakfast) meals, and we hate the fact that you have to pay for water (at restaurants) in Germany (also in certain other European countries); it's a matter of principle with us. We found a few places in Berlin (prior to visiting Leipzig) where they agreed not to charge us for water, but we were in a touristic section of Leipzig and four or five restaurants refused to comply with that when we asked (all of those restaurants had great menus and the interiors looked lovely - but my feeling is that it's their loss if we didn't patronize them). We were just about to give up, when we passed by this little place. I asked the guy behind the counter, and he readily agreed to give us water with no charge. We ordered two individual pizzas (which were *very* reasonably-priced), thinking we'd share them - the pizza salmon with spinach & mushrooms and the vegetarian pizza - but the size of the pizzas turned out to be *much* bigger than we'd imagined and we had to take nearly half of the remainder with us (and then we were too full to eat the leftovers). Anyway; the pizzas were *delicious*! Also: the nice guy behind the counter was *incredibly* sweet-natured, so we tipped him the amount that we would have paid for water. Note: This place doesn't accept credit cards.
