We ate dinner there on October 5 - but first, an explanation of what led us to this place: I've spent a rather significant amount of time in Germany during the past 41 years. My husband & I drink only water with (non-breakfast) meals, and we hate the fact that you have to pay for water (at restaurants) in Germany (also in certain other European countries); it's a matter of principle with us. We found a few places in Berlin (prior to visiting Leipzig) where they agreed not to charge us for water, but we were in a touristic section of Leipzig and four or five restaurants refused to comply with that when we asked (all of those restaurants had great menus and the interiors looked lovely - but my feeling is that it's their loss if we didn't patronize them). We were just about to give up, when we passed by this little place. I asked the guy behind the counter, and he readily agreed to give us water with no charge.
We ordered two individual pizzas (which were *very* reasonably-priced), thinking we'd share them - the pizza salmon with spinach & mushrooms and the vegetarian pizza - but the size of the pizzas turned out to be *much* bigger than we'd imagined and we had to take nearly half of the remainder with us (and then we were too full to eat the leftovers). Anyway; the pizzas were *delicious*! Also: the nice guy behind the counter was *incredibly* sweet-natured, so we tipped him the amount that we would have paid for water.
