Ristorante I Due Cippi - Duck and foie gras ravioli with a sherry and onion sauce. Holy crap these were decant and balanced. I would go back solely for the pasta.

Hands down the best meal we had in Italy. Well worth making the trek to Saturnia in order to have a…read moremeal here. Everything was elevated, the glassware stunning, the presentation of each dish well composed, the small bites before and after the meal were seamlessly weaves into the flow of the meal. The service here helped make the evening. Between having great English speakers, and being extremely friendly, we ended up planning half of our next day's trip based on their suggestions. The good company was coupled with a post meal apéritif as we ended up being one of the last tables at the restaurant. All of this is before even touching on the food and wine. The preparation of everything here was stunning both on the eyes and the pallet. Getting a steak is a must, but the pasta, and starters are not to be passed on. While maintaining the fine dining environment, nothing at Il Chippi felt pretentious or fussy. Simply well executed and homey. This place is on the Michelin guide, but in my opinion deserves several stars, which it has not yet been granted.

This restaurant is amazing! It's very pretty and has a great view of the town bell tower. The…read moreservice was phenomenal. They had many selections and many regional specialties, which is what I look for when traveling new areas. Everything we ordered came out fresh and presentable. The portions are decent size. The breads are wonderful. They even have a little fox friend that visits every night and they feed!

Places a phone order today for $42.50. Arrived at 4pm to…read morepick up my order. Went to my car decided I wanted an order of bruschetta. Went back and placed an order. The young lady said a few minutes. Okay, no problem. I was standing waiting at first; normally it takes 5 minutes. We're at 10 minutes now so I sat down. Young lady says to me "it will only be a few more minutes " okay. Still waiting..... now we're at 45 MINUTES! I CANCELLED IT at this point because this is absurd! 45 minutes for toast, tomatoes and cheese. She goes to check if it's ready first, NOPE NOT READY. Mind you it's been 45 minutes! The " head chef" came walking out being snarky. Had an attitude work me instead of offering an apology. No sorry for wait or inconvenience. Mind you my other food is in the car ice cold now because it's almost an hour now I waited for BRUSCHETTA. I've been a patron for over 10yrs. I have no idea what's happening with management. Very disappointed I will keep in mind my treatment on today before ordering again.

In fact, a family came in just after we sat down, and they could not get any food except drinks and dessert. The mixed Tuscan crostini plate (photo) was very good with several Tuscan specialty meat and cheese, chicken pate, fresh ripe tomatoes...my wife said she had the best salad with tuna (photo) ever. I thought every ingredient was very fresh. With a Yelp check-in, you'll receive a complimentary glass of procecco (Italian sparkling wine) which was very nice. Overall a great dining experience here. If you're in the vicinity of Monticchiello, Italy, this is a must stop. There's a large free parking lot within a five-minute walk. Highly recommended.

So we had a day to just drive around Tuscany and we found ourselves in Greve in Chianti looking for…read moresome lunch. After looking at reviews we settled on La Cantina and we were not let down. It's a very nice place offering both indoor and shaded, outdoor seating overlooking a nearby square. We asked to be seated outside, ordered some Aperol spritzes and began to check out the menu. Our server was friendly and efficient. She took our drink orders and dropped off a breadstick-like appetizer of baked, thin, crispy, yummy pizza or pasta dough scraps and we started to check out the menu. We could not narrow down our appetizer selection so we ordered three. A delicious assortment of goodies soon hit the table. We had some parma and melon, bruschetta, and fried pasta cuddles with stracchino cheese and raw ham. That last one I had never had before and boy was it good! In fact, they were all excellent. For mains we had pizza, paccheri with bacon and ricotta, and potato gnocchi with fresh tomato and basil. They were all very delicious. The paccheri with bacon and ricotta was another new dish for me. It was sort of like Pasta alla Gricia except with ricotta instead of pecorino. It was different, not better or worse, just different. And yes, I would order it again. The owner stopped by the table to say hi and check in to make sure things were going well. That's always a nice touch. All in all, an excellent experience and one I would recommend.

While visiting wineries in Tuscany we made plans to stop in here for lunch. We chose La Contina…read moredue to all the great reviews we read and it surely did not disappoint! We got there right about the start of lunchtime for the day and we were seated quickly, but it soon got very busy. Their menu is loaded with many pasta, pizzas, and other amazing Italian food. They also offer a nice sampling deal for couples, described in the menu. We were served their table bread and glasses of wine when we were greeted soon after sitting down. The bread is this amazing cracker-like bread which is covered in EVOO and herbs and then baked off in their amazing pizza oven. This stuff tasted great! And the free wine was a very nice, impressive treat too! We tried a couple things, including their meat and cheese board called the "Cellar Platter" and one of their pizzas, called the John. The food was all spectacular! The fried bread that came with the Cellar Platter was crazy-good! Everything was amazing... Would highly recommend stopping in!!
