And it's still pretty much the same (mostly in a good way). After it was fully booked on the weekend we came back on a weekday....plenty of tables left. We had some warm Crostini for a starter with two glasses of Spritz (Prosecco with Aperol). A really good choice. Crostini topped with fatty Pancetta, meat, paprika-spread, tomato, artichokes and radicchio. Good to share for two. For the mains we had the Seafood Spaghetti and Pasta with crema di Porcini. The Seafood Pasta is still great. The Pasta with Crema was new to us....interesting combination and very filling. We had some house wine with that (half liter for 4 Euros!). The service was - and this hasn't changed - a bit basic. But the reason could also be that the service doesn't speak much english - and our skills in italian are not really good too. But that's fine....we got what we wanted. And dogs are welcome too! It's a really good restaurant. Our #2 in town (behind "Xke Qua"). Be sure not to miss it, since it's a bit on the northern end of town, but beside a huge parking lot. Surely would go back. Prices are fair too.

We visited this place based off of pictures and reviews on Trip Adviser…read more It is a little beach bar style place, right on the sand. You look out right to the water. We visited for lunch in late September, so it wasn't super busy, and they gave us special attention. The waitress (maybe manager?) took the time to translate the specials for us and offered to show us the fresh fish they'd got in that morning, bringing it out on a platter! We opted for a grilled whole fish, fried seafood salad, and a simple spaghetti with fresh tomatoes for our daughter. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. We definitely loved our experience here!

But you really should head for this one - the big one (located in a mini-mall)! Everything you need is here. Meat (fresh, packed or frozen), cold meats, bread, pastry, cookies, olive oil, dairy products, pasta, all the non-food items, beer, wine, spirits and a great selection of fresh fish and seafood! It's like a Safeway / Walmart / Tesco...that kinda supermarket. A wee bit smaller of course. We shopped here on a daily basis during our time in San Vincenzo this year and the year before. Especially the seafood / fish selection is very nice....and so fresh! And you really can walk away with a huge load of seafood for under 20 Euro. The cold meat cuts and their cheese are great too ... and really low-priced, but high quality. Also great to stock up your alcohol! And if you need anyhting else to eat / cook or other items for you household, they probably got it too. It's also where the locals shop. Opened 7 days a week (sundays only in the morning), except for holidays like Christmas or Easter.

Last time we've visited this wonderful Restaurant three times....it was just so good. So we were wondering if it's still great. And YES....it's still our absolute favourite! The food is fantastic. But it's not only that....it's the whole package. Absolutely great staff, an atmosphere that is welcoming....you'll feel at home immediatly. Great food....convenient location. And due to really low prices (and big portions) an almost unbeatable value! Lavinia and Elena were perfect hosts and made us feel welcome and almost part of the family. It's a cosy restaurant with lots of locals, some italian tourists and the occasional international tourists. This might be different in high season....dunno. The food is real down-to-earth homecooked Italian Food. Pasta, Pizza, Seafood....and more. And it's all cooked to perfection. We loved it so much, this time we came here five times....in one week! The food: Pizza Xke Qua: House Specialty with Prosciutto Crudo, Fresh Cheese, spicy Salami and Porcini. Great flavours, great dough, lots of topping.... fantastic Pizza! Seafood Pasta: A real classic....always tasty with lots of mussels and Shrimp! Tagliatelle with Boar: Good pasta with minced Boar. Great Flavours! Tagliatelle with Lobster: Pasta with real Lobster pices....not just the meat. A feast for the eye and palate. Boar Stew: Good meat in a hearty stew sauce! Spaghetti with Clams: On par the the great Seafood Pasta. Crostini: A nice variety of spreaded bread with artichocke, olive, minced meat, tomato toppings and more. Also a variety with seafood topping is available. A great starter! Fried Seafood: Calamari and Shrimp. Fresh, hot and crispy. And for dessert a real good homemade Cheesecake. Lighter than the american version, but really really tasty. Available with different toppings. Our choice. Frutta di Bosco. A great great restaurant. Lovely staff. Nice, friendly and lively customers and atmosphere. Low prices....high quality food. A great wine selection. Starting from about 10 Euro a bottle! 1/2 liter housewine from 4 Euro! And the place is also dog-friendly! Which is important to us (and our Bulldog). If you only have one night and one place to eat. THIS is the one (open dinner only....with few exceptions).
