    Terrace

This was the most spectacular last meal in Italy I could have hoped for! The pasta was in huge portions, the bread was delicate and heavenly, and the terrace by the water was to die for. I had an absolutely wonderful time- I can't believe we just stumbled upon this place and were lucky to have someone cancel their reservation last minute!

Rolling up the sleeves before diving in all those mussels!

Ok this is so good it's impossible! We are thinking ok we each get a pizza and share a small appetizer so we can have room for dessert! When they serve the appetizer which is saluted mussels for €9, we were pretty sure they ordered us at least two orders of mussels because we were two people which would be still good price considering how much mussels on that dish(my photo does NOT do it justice) and they are very fresh and tasty! Pizzas were both really good, with the wine and my mushroom/cheese/local sausage pizza, I was having some serious food coma and can totally fall asleep right there! I finished half of my pizza and had to take the rest home and also no room for dessert that's how full I was to passed that tiramisu!!! -_- At the end when the bill comes, those mussels were €9!!!!! How is that possible??? The bread/cover charge is €6 for two people and all those mussels were €9? Anyway, I might've drink too much and feel like I need to share this with everybody! If you are in the area, you should visit the place! We also had a bottle of veneto wine instead of the original idea which is the Chianti and I kinda hoped I got the Chianti, the bottle we got is too mellow, feels like there's too much water in it. Just personal preference. But it's still not bad of course, and wine is extremely cheap in Italy.

    Orgasmica Pizza! So good.

We just arrived in Venice and needed somewhere to eat; luckily this little gem was open!! Very romantic right on the water. The staff was all very friendly. We ordered the Scampi alla busara (not too spicy according to our taste buds! Was perfect) and the Orgasmica pizza... both delish Would recommend. We were there later in the evening so there was no wait but when we walked by earlier the place was packed.

Great service and delicious pizza. It was packed on a Monday night. Our hotel was only a few doors down so we decided to grab a quick bite. The mussels were really fresh and a very huge portion for 9 euro. We also ordered a four cheese pizza with ham to share ... perfect combo. There was a 3 euro coperto - per person fee added to the bill. I learned this is a cover charge to off set for the bread/oil. During our 3 days in Venice, some restaurants did and some did not charged us this fee. Seems option but it will be clearly noted on the menu. Also, a few tables ordered the seafood platter which looked delicious.. saw some prawns etc. I would recommend you try this place.

Spaghetti and clams in a spicy tomato sauce

The spaghetti and clams was fantastico!!!! One of the best meals we have had on our vacation. Reasonably priced with a great view.

    Gnocchi with 4 cheese sauce

Delicious, authentic Italian Cuisine in a beautiful setting, alongside the water away from the tourist traps in Venice. Probably one of the best meals I've had in my time in Venice. I sampled a few of the delicious starters and savored the light cheesy gnocchi that literally melted in my mouth. I Highly recommend this treasure to anyone looking for an authentic Italian experience while overlooking the Laguna Veneta. The personable owner was friendly, accommodating & knowledgable. A real gem.

I don't know which Italian families started the rumor of dime before going to Venice, but I'm here to tell you, it's just that. A rumor. We discovered a locally enjoyed Trattoria that has literally the best lasagna I've ever had. If I could enjoy this every day, I would be there in a heartbeat. The lasagna noodles, and all of the ingredients are all made in-house, and made in very small, limited quantities. The sauce, the béchamel, the pairing with the pasta is perfection. It's plated as if you were sitting in someone's kitchen, if not your own. It's not necessarily pretty to look at, but damn... When I tell you that this is the best lasagna I've ever had, it truly is. Even the bread that is routinely served, and by the way you are charged for it, not only is made in the house, but taste like love. Many tourists seem to pass this place by, and it absolutely is enjoyed by locals and frankly, if you know you know. I'm here to tell you, this is a place you need to know. The woman that was seated next to us, enjoyed a lovely, large salad, that she said she has every day, along with branzino. She said that they are her daily go to for meal, while she enjoys a glass of wine and reading a book. She praised us for discovering the restaurant, and she was tired of seeing locals that she knows lol. Add this to your must try list when in Venice, Italy. The family that owns and runs this restaurant, scurries about as they are very attentive to keeping people moving in and out of the restaurant as needed, filling, glasses, bringing food to the tables, and keeping their customers happy. The father and son that were there, are really nice, and very welcoming!

So, what happened here you might ask? We walked by this restaurant a day before our experience. A lively place selling tasty-looking seafood. Checked the ratings, looked all fine. So we decided to come back the next day to get some nice early dinner. We wanted to sit inside actually, but were told to get a table outside. Looked like rain soon - which luckily didn't arrive. Our waiter seemed rushed and not really in a good mood from the start. Got handed the menu. But there's a nice counter inside with all kinds of nice fish and seafood. That's actually what we came for. We asked the waiter on how to order that, but were told "no need to rush" without further explanation and left. So my wife went inside to have a look, since we didn't find that on the menu card we've got. She ordered a nice plate of mixed seafood inside. Which somewhat angered our waiter. I was still reading the menu for some more dishes to order. Waiter took it out of my hand, telling me "you don't need that anymore, you already ordered". Yeah, some. But we wanted more. But we made a decision that moment to leave it and to stop ordering more. Really weren't in the mood for food anymore. Shortly after he arrived with the mixed seafood. And that was actually very tasty. Fantastic even. Had two glasses of white wine with if, tasty as well, but not cheap. After less than half an hour we decided to pay and leave. Even great, we didn't enjoy it much anymore. Asked for the bill, our waiter arrived with it shortly after. Then the reason for the one-star review came (actually reason enough at that point already). My wife merely asked if she could pay with a credit card. "Be quiet!" was the answer. Yes! Be Quiet...to my wife! These exact words. Not because of a language barrier (his english was more than fine), not because of a misunderstanding. Plain and simple rudeness. I hope his mother is proud of him. How dare you talk to a woman, to a paying guest like that. If my wife wouldn't have signaled me to stay calm, I would have caused a very big scene at that moment. But we were on vacation. We won't a moment like this kill our mood for the rest of the trip. But at that moment I was cooking inside. A verbal attack like this I've never encountered. I've read some more reviews later. It seems not the first time that service here is out of line. It's a shame. The food is wonderful. Not cheap though, paid almost 50 Euros! Coperta is a normal thing, but here a bit higher than elsewhere. And this is the first time I've thought that the coperta was not deserved. Almost took it off the bill, but we didn't want to cause a bigger fight. Not sure what was/is wrong with this certain waiter. A dislike to tourists? A bad day? But: there's no reason to treat us like this. THE worst service experience we've ever had. And that means something. If you read up on my reviews here on Yelp and other platforms you'll see that bad reviews like this rarely happen. Nothing's gonna happen to Mr. Friendly anyway job-wise. But I wish at least he would be told by his boss. Then again, one day he'll meet guests that won't hold back if he acts like this again. And I find comfort in that.

So we came here for an early dinner (around 5pm), kitchen is open through! Took a nice table inside by the window. Our Bulldog was welcome as well. Staff/owner very friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome here. Inside it's a nice, cosy atmosphere. Good selection of wine on the menu as well. For all kinds of budgets. And at the counter a nice display of all kinds of seafood. Lovely place. We've ordered the Crudo di Mare plate and Spaghetti Vongole. And a .375ml bottle of their white house wine, which turned out to be a good pairing with the seafood. Both dishes were excellent! Plenty of Vongole (clams) in the pasta dish, Spaghetti were perfectly cooked. Vongole were nice and fresh and the dish perfectly spiced (not too much, which is good). A real highlight definitely the Crudo di Mare. Two langoustines (so nice and sweet flavour), two red shrimp. scallops, tuna, swordfish, oysters and tuna tartare. All fresh, all tasty. An excellent mix of wonderful fish and seafood. Quality wise along on top with the best ones we've had so far (we love Crudo di Mare). And all is nicely presented. Really made our day, this meal here. After the meal we even got some aperitif on the house. A wonderful place. Feels very relaxed, lots of great items on the menu. And really fair prices, this is a real gem here with great value. And we will definitely be back next time in Venice. Highly recommended!
