Had a lovely midweek meal at Quattro Mori while in Munich on business. Nice food and great service. Dining al fresco added lovely atmosphere to a midweek dinner. Food: We ordered a roasted vegetable plate and a bresaola/cheese/mache appetizer to share, along with a bottle of 2006 Barbera d'Asti by CCC (Cascina Castlet Costigliole). Vegetables were perfect, the meat and cheese were a nice way to start off, and the wine was chosen well. For the main courses, two of us ordered spaghetti with langoustines and bottarga, while another diner ordered the flounder. Pasta was good, but was not fresh pasta, which is what I was expecting. That was my fault, though, as I should have asked. A lot of langoustines, though, and bottarga just makes me happy. The flounder looked amazing, and must have been, as I was not offered a taste! For dessert we enjoyed a mixed cheeses plate and a tiramisu, both of which were a great value, and the cheeses were high quality. Made that last half-glass of wine even better! Service: One server was handling all the tables, and he did a fantastic job. Friendly and happy despite having to handle all inside and outside tables. When we asked about the fish, he took my colleague inside to show him the filet. That was cool. Vibe: Italian-cafe-in-Munic-Chic. Love the outdoor seating, and it's such a mellow spot that I could hang out for a long time. It was exactly what we needed for a late dinner our first night in town, but would also be an excellent respite from the beer gardens any time of day or night. Family-friendly: Definitely. Italian = pasta = kids'll dig it. And trattoria = super mellow, which helps, too. Summary: It was a pleasure to dine at Quattro Mori. On future visits to Munich, I would definitely return and try more dishes. Would love to try their meat dishes and even their pizzas. If you are in the area, definitely give it a try. The food is prepared simply, it's tasty, and goes great with the all-Italian wine list. read more

There was still another service set for a second individual which was not used since the prior customer was single. So, hey, why pick it up and clean it. Just leave it there for the next customer. But the red napkin centered on the table looked like it need replacing. There were ring marks from a previous customer. Oh well. The food was fine. I got the penne arrabiata and it was fine. Not anything I'd write a raving review over. My companion had the pasta carbonara and that too was just fine. I felt both lacked flavor. I wouldn't recommend or come back.

Premiere ! Seit dem heutigen Besuch kann ich mich zu denjenigen zählen, die in Ihrer Feinschmeckerlaufbahn ein Restaurant "entdeckt" haben, das in allen Punkten schlichtweg miserabel abschneidet. Beim Betreten dieses "italienischen Lokals" denkt man auf den ersten Eindruck an die Bahnhofsgaststätte "Zum Goldenen Hahn" am Bahnhofsplatz jeder beliebigen 500-Einwohner-Metropole. Nach "La Dolce Vita" sucht man hier vergebens. Darauf folgt die nichtvorhandene Begrüßung und Platzzuweisung des offenbar überforderten und lustlosen Kellners. Beim Bestellen der Speisen und Getränke, die offentsichtlich der Gastwirt persönlich aufgenommen hat, wird man beim Nachfragen nach der Bedeutung der auf der Karte rein auf italenisch beschriebenen Vorspeise darauf zurechtgewiesen, dass auf der Karte doch alles draufsteht. Hier spiegelt sich das Credo dieses Lokals wieder: Die Devise lautet nicht "Sie sind mein Gast, was darf ich für Sie tun", sondern eindeutig "Wer sind Sie und warum belästigen Sie uns ?!". In vielen Lokalen könnte man diesen "Service" auf das hohe Gästeaufkommen schließen. An diesen Abend hatte aber definitiv nichts darauf hingedeutet. Nun zum eigentlich wichtigsten Merkmal eines Restaurants. Das Essen. Nach einer enttäuschenden Vorspeise bekamen wir den Hauptgang serviert. Der Pizza hat man auf den ersten Anhieb schon das Aroma des billigen Analogkäses angerochen. Gepaart mit einer sehr großzüzigen Portion Salz wurde die salzigste und schlechteste Pizza die ich jemals aufgetischt bekommen hatte kreiert. Das Pastagericht war essbar mehr nicht. Genuss konnte man sich höchsten aufgrund seiner Erinnerungen an andere italienische Lokale vorstellen. Der Appeitit auf das Dessert hatte sich damit auch sehr rasch in Luft augelöst. Nach dem Anfordern der Rechnung haben wir zwar festgestellt, dass die Preise für Münchener Verhältnisse vergleichweise günstig sind, aber aufgrund der ausgiebig erwähnten Negativpunkte definitiv nicht Ihr Geld wert sind. Nicht vorhandenes Ambiente gepaart mit unfreundlichem Service gepaart mit schlechter Küche bedeutet im Endeffekt einmaliger Besuch und nie wieder. Dazu gibt es in München zuviel an Auswahl guter Italiener. read more

Das Quattro Mori ist ein so-la-la Dorfitaliener der keine wirklich schlechte- aber eben leider auch keine übermäßig gute Küche liefert. Service: Etwas zu wenig präsent und unaufmerksam Futter: Pizza können sie leider nicht; Suppe ist gut, Pasta ganz ok Atmosphäre: Das Gesamtkonzept ist leider nicht stimmig, das Interieur ist für einen Italiener recht schlicht und modern gehalten insgesamt sicherlich nicht ungemütlich. Ich verstehe die positiven Bewertungen nicht. Service ok, nur das Essen absolut nicht. Unser Menü: 1. Saltimbocca statt aus Kalb aus Schweinefleisch, lieblos angerichtet 2. Fettucine mit Kalbsragout? Bandnudeln in Spaghettibreite mit Tomatenschweinehackfleischpampe... Ich werde dieses Restaurant definitiv nicht mehr besuchen und bereue es immer noch, dort gegessen zu haben. read more

Wir besuchen das Restaurant ab und zu. Das Essen ist immer frisch und schmeckt. Es werden wöchentlich verschiedene Spezialitäten angeboten. sehr empfehlenswert. read more
