When Michael came by, he inspected the sewage pump and the exterior pipes that connected to the pump. He found that our cover for the pump was not properly sealed and the pipes were not installed properly. He properly sealed the lid and revised our exterior pipes. I never felt that I had their full attention from the beginning. After I first called them they…read moreasked me a day later to reiterate what I needed (UV light, Battery backup sump, & clearing a sump blockage). Before committing I wanted to know prices / products. They wanted to know more about my property; suggested a site visit and I agreed. At the visit they asked if it was an emergency, but with the melt being over, it no longer was. Things became muddied over 8 weeks and 30+ emails. Both before & after the visit I was asked to provide photos & videos. Often it would take them 3-5 days to get me info and even when provided, was often only partial A neighbour suggested I contact another plumber just to talk. Within that initial phone call they had a full quote / product info ready and offered a date within 2 weeks to get the work done if I wanted. More importantly I was being told they could clear the Sump blockage for $189, instead of Penta charging $350 just to diagnose the blockage I'd received a call from Penta about a week before my appt with them and I'd merely said that I wanted to cancel my appt so that I could sleep on it. I then received a bill for $107 for the day they did a site visit a month prior as that's what they charge for sure visits unless you go ahead with the work. I was a bit offended as I was still deciding, but at that point it was clear. I understand a company having self respect for their own time, but I never felt they valued mine.
