More recently we signed him up for their Drive Test Package which included a 1-hour pre-drivers test lesson with an experienced ex-DMV examiner and followed by a successful driving test at the DMV. Our first interaction with A-Z Driving School was with Erin, she was very helpful and thoroughly went over all the options of service they provide. The prices are fair, they offer continuously flexible session times, and their cars are clean and recent models. The only saving grace here is that the people at the office are great, they kindly signed my second permit and gave me another learning certificate for $25 when I lost my first one. I ended up doing three regular lessons and a DMV test practice lesson to get comfortable around the Santa Clara DMV where I later took my driver's test. And then, I passed on my first try! She is incredibly patient, calm, supportive, and very easy to feel comfortable with. She explained things in a way that finally made sense to me and taught me skills that other instructors had not been able to teach me. Parallel parking is a perfect example -- Micaela showed me a simple technique, and in a surprisingly short time, I was able to do it confidently on my own. Another huge advantage is that Micaela speaks Russian in addition to English and Spanish. For Russian-speaking students who are new to driving in the U.S., this can be especially helpful.
