Finally, the owner of shop #3 referred me to Wolf Tire & Muffler. I am SO glad he did. I explained I was from out of state, traveling home, and could they fix it soon. They made a call, I presume to check on parts, and said "Sure, bring it in and we'll take care of it!" I was there a short time later. They were so nice and accommodating. Shortly after the part was delivered they got right to it, fixed it, and charged me a very fair price considering I was done and driving away (smiling) just 2 hours after arriving. The problem persisted, so they replaced the parts again. Still no resolution. Then they reinstalled the original parts, charging again for labor, and replaced the rotor, button and plate in the distributor. The truck still quits unexpectedly. I cannot recommend this company.
