Seriously, the warmest folks ever. Their prices are a bit higher than elsewhere, but it is justified by their quality of work, communication, and kindness. They will inform you of any issues they identify on your car but are not at all pushy about getting the work done there. He new Midas was BS-ing and I went to him. My engine was still fine! I just needed new spark plugs which he believed Midas technicians damage by pulling it out the improper way and new great quality coils which I should have don vs buying from Ebay. I needed a transmission service last month so with the past good experiment I came to this place, again. My car stayed there all day and then they told me that I did need a transmission service. The front desk person told me that, they can rebuild the transmission with the cost of $ 4100. I asked him if they can find an used transmission and then install it. He told me ,sorry there isn't any used transmission they can find. I asked him, if I find a used one and they can install; he said they don't do that.7 So, his goal was to rebuild the transmission and charge me $ 4100 +. I didn't follow his advice and left. Then, I found a used transmission in Wisconsin online, bought it and delivered it for $ 800. I went to my mechanic garage, they did a fantastic job and replaced the transmission. It was $ 1500 total, part+labor. I saved lots of money and my car is running perfectly on the road. I will never go for any service to Transmission Service store again. Unless, Russ decides to come back.

They found what was causing the noise, and also a couple other minor issues, and fixed them with no problems. I called after hours and asked if they could change the transmission fluid while they have it, and the manager (Jim), called back first thing in the morning to let me know they checked the fluid and it looked brand new so it didn't need to be changed. Any other shop would have said they changed changed the fluid and added it to the bill, but they didn't, so they gained my trust right away. They only fixed what needed to be be fixed, and the cost was very reasonable. Since then I've had them replace the clutch and transmission. They did the work quickly and kept me informed throughout the process. There we no surprise costs and the total bill was actually less than what I expected it to be. It's hard to find a shop that you can trust, and does good work at a reasonable cost, so Transmission Doctor is now the first (and likely only) shop I'll call if I have car problems.

I was told I needed new rear brakes, so I planned to replace them myself on Saturday, 12/29/25. When I went to start the job, my security socket was nowhere to be found. So much for my Saturday project. The shop was closed for the weekend, so I couldn't resolve it. I met with the owner, Dan, on Monday. He ordered a new set of security lugs in hopes that the key would work. It did not. The tech had misplaced my original key during the brake inspection.
