I was very pleased with the services offered by Transit Moving. I have a ton of stuff and had even bought a new set of bookshelf to move to my new house that were at a store. The movers were right on time. Ready to go had all the supplies you could need. They will work hard and I mean non stop until you get done with your moving needs. Disassembled my loft bed and put it back together. I had absolutely no damages at all. Truck was clean as were the movers. I will be using them again as I have so much stuff it will take two or so trips. Pricing is straightforward depending on how big the truck and how many movers you will be simply billed by the hour. No surcharges mileage etc. Would recommend them very highly! Great to work it and reasonably priced. Used them previously and using them again for our next move. I recommend using them! :) read more

Transit Moving - Movers Near Me

If you're considering movers in the Houston area, learn from my mistake: do not use Transit Moving & Storage. We received multiple quotes when planning our move. I had one structured myself (Pods + Two Men and a Truck) that would've cost between $5,600-$7,000. Transit came in initially at $8,600 - already higher - but the salesman insisted he could "sharpen the pencil" and win our business. After three separate video walk-throughs and detailed discussions about what we were packing ourselves, they sent us a final "binding" quote of $6,800. We agreed, thinking the estimate was solid since they'd seen everything multiple times. Here's where things went wrong: On moving day, they showed up with one truck instead of the two they promised. After loading the first truck with most of our belongings, the supervisor told me we were "over on space" and forced me to sign for an additional 1,000 cubic feet at $1.50/ft - magically bringing the bill right back up to $8,600, the original number I had already rejected. When I disputed it, I was told I had to pay 60% immediately or they wouldn't move my stuff at all. They took my furniture and left me with no choice. To make matters worse, they later refused to even deliver my belongings until I signed that I accepted the inflated total and paid in full. That's not a moving service - that's holding property hostage. I called the salesman and office repeatedly to resolve this in good faith, but no one would take accountability for their "mistake." A professional mover should not miss an estimate by 40% after three walk-throughs. It feels clear that the lowball quote was intentional just to secure the job. Bottom line: This company misleads customers with bait-and-switch pricing, then holds your belongings hostage until you pay more. I would never trust them again and strongly recommend you protect your family and valuables by choosing a different mover. read more

Don't hire them!!!!!!!! The worst moving experience. First they are kind and offer you an attractive package to hook you up, but on the day of the move they told me that they had extra items that were not on the list, and when I checked if they were, later they told me that the list does not matter, that is Just an estimate, and they ended up charging me 1800 dll more if I wanted them to bring my things. Then what do you do? if you already have to deliver the apartment and you need to move to start working? They take advantage of the situation and according to what I read in the other comments, it is not the first time. My mistake was believing that the bad comments were few. Then they said they would arrive the next day but again they lied. When you call customer service they simply ignore you, they tell you that they don't have the information and that you should wait. They arrived 2 days late and when they brought things down they said they couldn't assemble the baby's crib, the table was bent on one leg and they just left, we also noticed that they came in a smaller truck, which means they hire a third. Don't listen to the good comments they are surely made up!!!!!!!!! read more

DO NOT HIRE!!! If there was an option for negative stars I would given them. Worst experience ever. Military family with a lot of experience moving. Communication was terrible. Changed packing and moving dates a week before the scheduled move. Didn't finish the move in the time we were promised and came back 2 days later to finish. Many items were lost or broken. There has been no attempt to resolve the issues. Have called, emailed and text with no response. Tried to get an invoice to get moving costs reimbursed by new job and still nothing. This move is costing now so much more than broken/missing items. Extremely unprofessional. read more

Alright I'm back! By that I mean Transit Moving Systems forced my father and I to take our reviews down or they would not move forward. Now, that sounds crooked. I hope Google knows they are manipulating their ratings by forcing customers to remove bad reviews. I ALSO SAW IN SOME OTHER REVIEWS ON HERE THEY ARE PAYING FOR GOOD REVIEWS, on top of forcing customers to remove bad ones. Doesn't seem like a respectable way to conduct business to me. No problem though, we are now out of the hostage situation after paying thousands more than what they quoted which was $5000 to $7000 I know you're thinking only $2000 more is not THAT bad . However, that's what they finally offered us to take down our reviews. What they really wanted was $12,000. Yes, you saw right from $5000 to $12000. If my father and I hadn't pushed back they would've robbed us blind. We have screenshots of the texts and copies of the ORIGINAL contract with the real price of $5000. So, JOAN, LEO, RAFAEL, KEVIN, since you like to say names let's introduce you, too! Oh! Just wait till they respond, their sassy little comments show their true colors every time. Say, KEVIN, LEO, RAFEAL, JOAN... Unfortunately for you I screenshot my review and now... I will never be bullied into taking it down again. Here is my original and completely honest review from 2/17/25 ---------------- [This company is a whole bait and switch scam. First, they are so slow and drag their feet so much they have to come back a second day. Then, they charge for two whole days, plus a storage fee where they hold your stuff hostage, and add additional fees. So, if you happen to be a masochist: -Plan to pay double what they "quote" you. -Plus pay an arbitrarily high storage fee of $1200 PER DAY!!!!!! Warning: -Don't be a woman alone with them -Or they will absolutely take advantage of you -Make sure you have a man you trust with you please -Or they will make you very uncomfortable and frazzled while shaking you down as a woman alone with them I wish I could put zero stars but I can't. So, please please please know this is an UNSAFE, DISHONEST, AND DISREPUTABLE scam.] -------------- CONT'D 2/19/25 FOR ANYONE CONSIDERING USING TRANSIT MOVING SYSTEMS: Go look at the one stars reviews here. Please before you waste your money. Go look on Yelp at their one star reviews. They have more 1 star reviews on Yelp than 5 star reviews. Go look them up at the Better Business Bureau (BBB). They are flagged as an unsafe company and are flooded with complaints If you do even one of these things, you'll find that EVERYONE has the same issues. EVERYBODY CAN'T BE LYING! Go to the 1 star reviews and count how many times someone says "I wish I could leave zero stars..." I promise you'll run out of fingers. Lastly, I know JOAN, LEO, RAFAEL, and KEVIN will run in here attacking us like we're the problem. Meanwhile, they have an F rating with the BBB, 80+ 1 star reviews on Google, and again LITERALLY MORE 1 STAR REVIEWS ON YELP THAN ANY OTHER RATING. JOAN, LEO, KEVIN, RAFAEL can lie all they want but they can't fake the numbers. JOAN, LEO, KEVIN, RAFAEL, you're reputation is trash and it was that way long before we ever had the misfortune of working with you. Honestly, I can't wait to read the lies JOAN, LEO, KEVIN, and RAFAEL come up with to make excuses and show how ugly their business is. Does MR. CARLOS DELGADO still own Transit Moving Systems? Is MR. CARLOS DELGADO's LinkedIn profile correct so I may file a complaint? Is this the correct profile for MR. CARLOS DELGADO linked below? https://www.linkedin.com/in/carlos-delgado-a9713b1a7 Is there an email I can get because management's only response is to threaten me? I REALLY NEED TO SPEAK WITH SOMEONE OTHER THAN JOAN, LEO, RAFAEL, and KEVIN. OUR BIGGEST REGRET IS NOT READING THE REVIEWS IN THE FIRST PLACE. Please don't make the same mistake we did. Please. read more

Probably the worst service I've experienced thus far. To help my mom relocate from the Seattle area to the Austin area I solicited the help of these guys to move her things. My first clue that this was not going to go smoothly was that the quote changed to a higher rate on site even after providing them with the inventory list of items. We ended up leaving one thing behind so that we could maintain the same pricing. I agreed to the pricing and the items were picked up on 12/27 with a delivery date of 1/4 to Austin. Week after week goes by and we're reaching out for updates only to be told that they are trying to locate a truck and driver. After 1/4 has come and gone we were never given a direct ETA but was told the same thing over and over again. My question regarding this is how do you have a moving company with no available trucks to finish the job??? So here it is 1/29/25 and the delivery finally arrives with my mom's things and the driver is demanding cash payment from my mom. WTH!!! I have funded this whole move and paid deposit as well as an additional 60% of the total cost via debit card and now all of a sudden debit is not acceptable??? My mom had to 3-way call me and the person in charge so that we could figure out the final payment. I ended up using zelle to send the driver the remaining amount (which in my opinion should have been discounted after waiting over a month for our things). Also another question, why are we paying the driver directly, instead of the driver getting the money from the employer??? Cherry on top, they broke my mom's dresser in transit and do you think we're going to get refunded anything??? With the way things have went, I highly doubt it. This whole transaction was very shady and done in poor taste. If you value your items do not use this company. If I could I would give negative stars for the stress, worry and pathetic communication experienced here. read more

The positive reviews are all fake!! You have been warned, use any other moving company and stay away from these scammers. *To update on this, the comment below with the "compensation" we received. Our total was over $6700 and we were compensated approximately $300. And after losing then locating the bottom half of one of our recliners, then delivering it to us. We are still receiving calls about them looking for our missing items. One hand does not talk to the other. Communication is a huge failure. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. A month after our first available delivery date and we still don't have our stuff. It is still 2500 miles away with absolutely NO date in sight. every time we have been given a date it has been changed. last week we were told today or tomorrow. then last night we were told next weekend. SERIOUSLY spent more money trying to get by day by day on top of the 6k for the move. Insane that a company can have customer service this bad! We Are warning as many people as we can so this does not happen to someone else. read more

Transit Moving Systems got our items from point A to point B, but otherwise the entire process was disappointing - 1. We paid much more than the original estimate: the company gives you an original estimate based on an inventory of furniture. We removed several large items of furniture from the move but still ended up paying more because the company charges you on cubic feet of volume, which they keep intentionally low in the estimate 2. Items left behind and no walkthrough: The moving crew arrived late, finished late, and was in such a rush by the end that they left a car's worth of items behind that we then had to manage 3. Terrible communication and customer service: We interacted with four distinct individuals throughout the move. It was never clear who was in charge and who would take ownership. Their team did not communicate internally, so we would share information with one when they called, which would then be news to another a week later. And despite persistent complaints, they never made an effort to resolve issues they created. Instead, most conversations resulted in them threatening increased fees because of the nebulous contract they forced us to sign 4. Items arrived almost a week later: There is no effort whatsoever to meet your intended delivery date. Our items arrived almost a week late, and only after persistent nudging on our part and communicating directly with the driver (who is a contractor). This makes planning very difficult. We secured a parking permit for the moving truck from the city for the specific delivery date we intended (at the instruction of Transit Moving), only to then be told by Transit Moving they would not meet that date, so we lost $300+. 5. Hidden shuttling fees: They present a 'shuttling fee' of $1/cubic foot as a potential in the estimate, but really they are counting on it. Despite not advertising this, they perform cross country moves in a semi truck regardless of how many things you have, so they always plan to charge you the shuttling fee. 6. Broken items: Several items arrived broken, scuffed, or otherwise damaged. To top it off, now one of their employees has reached out personally asking for money to bail him out of a personal crisis. I strongly advise finding a different moving company!! read more

This is an update to my earlier review I gave before the full job was completed. Overall disappointing experience due to scheduling error and poor customer service. Transit did not show up on our long scheduled delivery day. After numerous texts and calls, I was finally informed they had rescheduled our move-in 4 days later. They did not inform us that they had rescheduled the day, leaving us hanging. Text inquiries and voice messages were responded to simply as "one sec" or "on it", while never actually receiving any follow up. Furthermore, there was no apology or offer to compensate us for any of our 4 days of additional interim living expenses. Load out went well, very courteous crew and Transit provided free storage. However, move in seemed rushed, crew was rough with many of our items causing chips, gouges, scratches and damage to many items. Further, they did not put drop cloths down, wheeling their dollies right on our new wood floors. And our master bedroom mattress was not loaded, they had to bring that the next day. Lastly, before they would unload, they required us to do a favorable review, which I did based on the move out crew experience. I do not recommend Transit. read more

Don't use this company! They will keep upping the price on you when you're so close to the move date that you have no choice but to continue with them. They also give you estimates by surveying your house via a zoom call. We had to rent an additional uhaul truck because they couldn't fit all our belongings. They state on their website that they are a moving company and not brokers but I couldn't get insurance because they are identified as brokers. I believe they are brokers because they did not have a truck identified as Transit. They are a Texas company hiring movers here in Colorado. In my opinion they are not a reputable company. read more

Unfortunately I trusted this company with my last move because they sounded very professional over the phone. I should've known once the mover arrived alone and waited for his helpers to get there, meanwhile asking my teenage son and husband to help him wrap up our furniture which is what we were paying them for. They ended up breaking our dining room table, my son's computer desk, lost all of the screws for my son's bed frame, broke a one of a kind collectible item. Overall it was over $2k in damages and their crappy insurance only pays 60cents per pound. Nope! Do not use this horrible company! Stay away from them! read more

I'd suggest hiring this company, if you like damaged, stolen, and missing item's! Hirer them for a Massachusetts from Houston delivery, WHAT A NIGHTMARE company to deal with! One star doesn't do their lack of professionalism, courtesy, honesty, and truthfulness any justice! They should be ranked with a minimum of negative 3 stars! Thieves! Stole a valuable collection that "wasn't allowed to be shipped" One, NOBODY told us that, two, how would you know what was in the box, unless you went through it, and three, where did the box go? No sensible answers regarding my three points on where my collection is! Absolutely a clown show, embarrassing excuse for a "moving company"!! Under NO circumstances would I recommend this sorry company! I'll be back Monday for another round of complaints! Guaranteed!!!! read more

DO NOT HIRE THEM!!! Our first cross country move and it was the worst experience! Transit Moving Systems promised more than I believe they are capable of providing to their customers. In the beginning our sales person John was great. He was diligent to provide me as accurate of a quote as he could and locked in a price promising a dedicated 26' truck to ship our possessions. All was good until a few days before our pick up date. After that it was all down hill leading up to our possessions finally arriving later than originally expected. Here are the issues - Pick up date not being confirmed until days before and them wanting to come a day earlier; when would not have been ready. - Packing crew arriving 6 hours late - Packing crew did not have a company truck (Enterprise rental) which meant there were no marks inside for us to verify the true cubic volume our possessions took up in the truck - Our foreman arrived an hour after the loading crew, left with promise to return later which he did not. - Loading crew were nice, but communication was difficult because none spoke English well enough to understand simple requests that items be wrapped better as they were antiques... THIS LEAD TO DAMAGE!! - Loading took until 1am!!! - Our possessions went back to their warehouse where they sat for over a week to get loaded onto a different truck. Not what the sales person had originally promised. - No real communication from Transit on when our stuff would actually ship. We did receive calls every few days saying our stuff was stored and safe. WHICH IT ACTUALLY WAS NOT SAFE CONSIDERING THE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE AND CRUSHED BOXES! - Finally got confirmation our items were on the road. They did make good time crossing the country, but day of delivery the driver refused to pull up to the house because of small tree limbs. His parked location was on the corner one house away and then wanted to charge us for the extra distance. He also had conflicting contract information on the amount that would be charged for the extra distance. - As they brought our items up we started seeing many crushed boxes. We ended up with about 40% of our boxes either crushed or straight torn open. Several antique furniture pieces were broken, our couch had two tears in it and in the crushed boxes WHICH WERE LABELLED FRAGILE AND HAD RED TAPE, were broken and irreplaceable glass items. - Boxes being brought in were once again stacked in a manner in which an already crushed box would get more crushed! - They were to have rebuilt anything that they took apart and when he went to start one bed frame was missing fasteners and he said he would do it for liability. At that point I was so angry that I told him to leave and we would deal with it. All said and done I waited a day to calm down and emailed our sales person about what happened and specifically requested contact information to get this addressed. He has not responded and it has been two weeks. I received a call two days after delivery from customer service and they had no idea what had happened. Which means the sales person did not forward our email and the delivery driver also did not report the damages. The customer service rep said they were escalating this to upper management and someone would reach out. We now sit two weeks later and I have not heard a peep. At this point I have filed a claim and am going to dig in to find more contact information within their company. We did not get one or two items with accidental damage. We got our possessions smashed. The amount of damage indicates pure negligence on Transit Moving Systems and their delivery driver. read more

This company will rip you off. They use extortion like tactics to get you to pay more once they have starteded moving you. The original $4600 quote went to $9600 claiming we didn't give them correct information. How does a company stay in business with these types of practices. Once they finally got the items to us, they wanted even more money and wouldn't unload until we went and got cash. Many items were broke and not replaceable because they were things that mean something since they were my mothers. Can't replace the value of something that is personal to you. I've filed a complaint with BBB and I will dispute the last charge (since it was extortion). DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, even if you have a contract they will force you to pay much more. Update 1-9-24 Filed a complaint with BBB but because the paperwork doesn't have my name on it we have to refile under my sister's name. Transit Moving is claiming what I am saying isn't true, but I was privy to the last coversation stating what the charge would be. They changed the price once they got there and took advantage of my sister (who is still recovering from her stroke) and forced her to sign new paperwork or they wouldn't start loading their items. They are accusing me of 'defamation' but how can that be when everything I've mentioned above is happened and by other reviews this is not the first time they have done this. My sister has so many items that are broken or completely missing. I'm writing this review on behalf of her again because she hasn't recovered all her motor skills to do this review herself. read more

Extortion. Just an awful experience. My pregnant wife is in tears right now over how mean a mover is being to her. Jerry is a dishonest sales rep. Transit was not the cheapest, but we selected them because we were quoted the quickest delivery of 3-5 days. After signing the contract, I was then called and told it would be 1-2 weeks. I was told they do not subcontract our their work. When the movers arrived they demanded 3k more money or told me they would leave. Extortion. I had no other options as my family was waiting for me in another city. They were also subcontractors. The movers spent half the time on the phone with their Manager Ariel. It took over 2 weeks to receive our goods. Their customer service team is awful. They rarely pickup the phone, long hold times or you can barely hear/understand them. On the day of the move the driver said his car would not fit on the street, despite it working for everyone else in the neighborhood. He refused to even try. They wanted an additional $1,500 or threatened to put my stuff in storage which would be an additional cost. More extortion. Sub contractors again. They did not accept a check for payment as the pickup movers did and I had to do a wire transfer. The mover demanded to know where the money was every 10 minutes. Wire transfers take an hour to process and we had proof it was in transit. He had my pregnant wife in tears. One of the most rude individuals that I have ever dealt with. The sub contracted employees were friendly, but embarrassed to be working on this guys behalf and apologized to us. Just an awful experience all around. Was extorted for an additional 4.5k. Move took longer than expected. Subcontracts for each move. An inconsistent payment process. Non-existent customer service. Avoid at all costs. read more

My sister graduated last month from UH, and needed movers to help with a long distance move from Houston to SF. We contacted Transit Movers after seeing a Google ad, and decided to go with them after receiving a very reasonable quote and a good conversation with their rep on the phone. Overall, we could not be more happy with the experience. Transit Movers' crew of 3 people arrived five minutes before the scheduled time, and they were efficient and had all the needed equipment. They professionally wrapped up my sister's large items and even helped to re-pack some of the boxes of smaller items to mitigate the chance of any damage during the move. Everything arrived in SF on-time and without any wear or tear, and the total cost was what was quoted, which doesn't always happen in my experience. Definitely recommend checking out Transit Movers if you're in the Houston area and need help with a local or long distance move. read more

I cannot believe they are still in business. Don't bother. They will not tell me if I will get my items within this month. No one I talk to here at customer service actually helps to track my delivery. Their contract says to allot up to 21 business days but now they are saying it is 45! Absolutely a joke of a business. If you care about your money don't give it to them. Pick up date: 11/24/2021 Delivery date: as of 1/03/2022 absolutely NO idea. The person I talked to initially, Leo told me that they would help me throughout the process. If you ever need a moving service, whether you're moving out of an apartment, a dorm, or just moving residences, this is a business that I prefer you use. I would highly recommend these guys. They came last minute to helped me move! Although I have a lot of super heavy furniture, they took it with an incredibly good attitude. 10/10 would recommend, they do a really good job, with great customer service! Especially during the traffic! rush-hour is terrible in Houston. Especially coming from the west side of the 1-10 freeway around Katy and Cinco, I'll come I knew that it was going to take a while to transport and come back and we went over the guidelines about how I wanted everything moved. They were really precise and listened to directions during our conversation. The moving process was a breeze, everybody was on the same page and nothing was broken. That wasn't the most important part, nothing was damaged. If you need a good move around the greater Houston area, this company is the perfect company to use! read more

Transit Moving gave me quotes within minutes of me requesting one. A ton of people messaged me with their estimate of how much the cost would be, and they were all super flexible with their hours and dates. I ended up choosing the cheapest one, which was around $80. I mostly needed help with moving large items, such as couches, a fridge, bed frames, etc. I was moving from a 3 story home to a single story one, and the staff and movers were amazing. If I could give this company 0 starts I would. This review is for an interstate move. 1. Before pickup, everything was great. Sal - the sales associate I worked with - was responsive and helpful and walked through the contract in detail with me. He told me he would be the main point of contact with me until my items were delivered. I told him I wanted my items around June 25th and he said he can't guarantee a date but it would be there around that time, plus or minus a few days. Perfect. I signed the contract. 2. After my items are picked up, Sal disappears. I am no longer able to reach him to help answer questions such as where my items are and when they will be shipped. I call around June 25th to understand where my items are and am told (after multiple attempts AND DAYS to reach someone in customer service) that they are still in transit. This means they are still sitting in a warehouse in my pickup city. WTH. They can't give me a time estimate at all of when my items will be delivered. Sal avoids my calls / screens them - I am able to reach him with a new phone number and then he drops the call once he knows who I am. After escalating to a manger, I am told that "this is not how the industry works" and we "just have to wait until they have enough items to fill up a truck to ship". THIS WAS NOT EXPLAINED BEFORE SIGNING THE CONTRACT. THEY PURPOSEFULLY EXCLUDE THIS DISCUSSION WHEN GETTING YOU TO SIGN. At this point I have no idea when I will get my items. No idea how to plan the drop off and how I can get time off from my work whenever the items come in. 3. 3 weeks pass by. No word from Sal, no word from Transit Moving Company reaching out to me telling me where my stuff is. I call every other day - get the same response. Finally, after escalating to managers, I get an email saying my items have shipped and the driver will reach out to me 24 hours before to give me a heads up on what time they will come. THERE IS NO ETA, NOTHING IN THE EMAIL THAT SAYS HOW LONG THE SHIPPING TIME IS ETC. You have literally no idea when they will show up. I am able to call the driver (after getting his number from customer service) and am told he also cannot say how long it will take because of traffic etc etc. Very unhelpful since I need to plan what day to book a transit elevator in my building and take time off work for the delivery. 4. I get a call from the driver Thursday 4pm that he can make a deliver Friday morning at 10am. He will only take cash or money order for the remaining payment - EVEN THOUGH SAL TOLD ME I CAN PAY WITH VENMO. He also needs to book a small shuttle to deliver to my apartment building COSTING ME EXTRA MONEY - EVEN THOUGH I HAVE CONFIRMED WITH HOA OF MY APARTMENT THAT SEMIS ARE ALLOWED. Basically they will come up with ways to take extra money from you and when you try to reason with them they will yell at you and will not listen. Honestly cannot believe any company can have as bad a service as this one. Also if you cannot be there for the delivery when they magically show up, they will charge you $3500 for a rebooking fee. Complete garbage given people have work shifts that they cannot just book around with less than 24 hour notice. Beware of this if you have a busy schedule. 5. My items are delivered, the boxes are ruined, large holes in them and mostly open. No quality care, no customer service. I am just glad this nightmare is over. There is a reason Yelp is now showing a suspicious business warning for this business. It was not there when I booked otherwise I would have never signed with them. Please beware and take your money elsewhere. One last note, ironically the driver was the best person I talked with. He genuinely tried to help me and work with me. He explained to me that Transit Moving Company had sold my contract to his company to drive the goods - which explains why they do not care at all about my concerns. Its just a horrible experience to be their customer. The drivers manager was horrible and would not listen to me about the fact that the HOA said the Semi could park in front of my apartment building. Seems like they just want to make extra money. I recently began the process of moving out of my dorm at UH. In the past, I had just attempted to move all of my belongings in several car rides and it was just really tedious. A friend of mine suggested that I look into this moving company. I used their website to request a quote. The price was reasonable and competitive compared to other local moving services, so I decided that this was the best option money-wise. The day I moved out, they were quickly able to help me move my large belongings and were very careful in the process. We were able to move out my things in less than an hour and a half, which would have taken me at least 3 hours if I had just used a car. I recommend this company to anyone who is looking for help with moving. They saved me time, energy, and money in comparison to other companies. read more

My girlfriend her moved to Vegas recently. It was her first time leaving home and we weren't sure what to do. We asked our friends for recommendations to see who they would use to help with this big transition from Texas to Vegas. They told us about Transit moving and we were thrilled when we received our good quote. The process was smooth and we were very satisfied with everything. They helped make the move easy peasy for us with good communication. read more

If you need a life-saver, you're looking at the right company! We recently had to move to our new home and juggling work and evening classes, I completely forgot about hiring movers! I called and was instantly greeted by such a friendly voice. He provided me a quote, (a great quote-I might add!), set everything up AND BAM! We're all set. I was such in a frazzled state but they were extremely helpful being that it was kind of last minute. The guys who came we're absolutely nice and took care of our items as if it was their own. I appreciate that because I've had terrible experience with movers in the past dinging our furniture. They made the move painless. So happy to have them come to my rescue! read more

The only reason this company gets a one star rating from me is because nothing lower was available. Transit Moving Systems began by making appts they did not keep. They were very dishonest. They reassured us that all persons handling our move were paid employees of Transit Moving Systems denying they ever hired contract workers. Yet the guys who moved our belongings to TN told us they had been hired off of Craig's List for this move only. We were told the total cubic footage of our belongings would fill their largest moving truck (53 ft) and we would therefore have a "dedicated truck". This meant only our belongings would be on the truck; the truck would be loaded and unloaded only once; and the truck would have only one destination - our new TN home. This too was false. The movers came to pack two days before they were scheduled to come and then they did not come on the day they were scheduled to finish. They packed our things very poorly, loading them onto a small truck, on both dates. Our belongings would therefore be unloaded and reloaded onto the actual moving truck. Then after the moving truck was allegedly on its' way, it reportedly broke down and was taken into a shop with our things on it. Although the truck was supposed to leave the day after us & drive directly to our new house, it took 2.5 wks to arrive. Upon arrival, at least $4000 worth of our belongings were broken or missing. The contract stated I should be reimbursed $.60 per pound, but the company did not weigh our property; it used cubic feet as measurement. They overcharged almost $4000 for the truck, indicating we filled more cubic ft than would even fit into a 53 foot truck. In the end I wanted to be reimbursed at least $10,000 for broken/missing items and overcharges for the truck, and overall failure to abide by their contract. We paid this company over twice that amount for the horrible nightmarish experience. However, b/c this company uses an arbitration program, I have been told my efforts to be reimbursed anything beyond an insulting amount would likely prove useless. Do NOT repeat my mistake. PLEASE - BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT GET PULLED IN - I CAN'T IMAGINE IT WILL BE ANYTHING OTHER THAN A NIGHTMARE YOU WILL FOREVER REGRET. read more

I really wish that Yelp allowed for 0 stars because this company hits the mark on THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I've been working with Sal who seemed so nice when I was booking the move. Once the move and the payment happened it's basically like he won't get in contact with me. I was supposed to get my items delivered a month ago and they have no status update for me. I've called and left numerous messages and Sal is "always on another call." I called him through another line and he picked up right away but when I told him the move reference number he says, "let me put you on hold and check the latest," and he transferred me to their main customer service line. This is the most disrespectful customer service anyone can provide. Effectively, at this point they've taken my money and my stuff without any answers on if or when I will get my stuff. Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! read more

Packing and moving is always a stressful task especially during this difficult time. However, on the day when I scheduled for their services, the movers were punctual and very helpful in even helping me organizing a few misplaced items that I forgot to pack (my brain won't work sometimes ). All the staff were really nice and focused on their work which saved me a lot of time so I could worry about other matters during the move. Not only that, they were transparent about pricing and everything with no hidden fees like a few other places I have hired. Great work, totally recommend! read more

I needed somebody to help me move my belongings from Houston to Dallas. Basketball season was over so I wanted to move home with my family. I had a lotof stuff I needed moved, I looked on Yelp and saw Transit Moving. I needed to know how much it was, so I requested a quote, and told them what I neededmoved. They responded, and we agreed on a mutual quote. They arrived at my place of residence, and the movers were really strong. They were carrying heavy boxes, and really knew what they were doing professionally. I had to pay before they unloaded the boxes, but they helped me load the boxes in my house, and that really means a lot. The service is A1, and I was satisfied. read more

When I booked an interstate move with them, with items to be picked up on June 10, Jimmy promised that the delivery date would be June 11-13. Come June 14, not a word from Jimmy and he did not return my phone calls -- finally he texted saying there is nothing he can do. Turns out that as of today, June 17, everything is STILL in storage with no estimate as to when, or if, a driver will become available. Customer service only says that the fine print gives them 21 days but that is NOT what I was promised. They say they esaclated this and that a manger would call me back. Still nothing. When I asked about a refund and getting an ethical moving company, they said sure you can get your stuff but no refund. They make promises they have no intention of following through on to get your business and then they leave you hanging. Also, they demand payment in money orders, probably because that way when they break their promises they make to their customers, we can't use a credit card company as an intermediary. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all cost! Check their reviews on the BBB website -- those are all one star -- and the number of complaints against them. Now I'm worried that they will lose or damage our belongings! read more

Hi, I don't move a lot so I was kinda scared at first to text them my info but it's actually very trust worthy. A bunch of people respond to you saying they can help. But also they have different pricing for each person and I thought it was helpful that since one was expensive I had another person text me that was much more affordable. I gave this place a 4 star rating because I still think the many people who texted me is kinda sus. But overall it's okay. read more

The time it took to move my items were very quick! It saved me so much time, it pains me to think about how I originally wanted to do all this moving myself. They were very organized and were very careful with my items. The company follows the strict COVID guidelines and wore masks and the movers were also very kind, seeming as though I am a talkative person, we all spoke to one another as if we were friends. I would definitely call up this company if I need any more moving done in the future. read more
