I was referred to Andy at Transit Insurance Agency through a colleague, and he has been so helpful throughout our insurance process. We recently bundled our condo policy with our auto policy, and Andy helped us get the best combined insurance at the best price, and answered my 500 questions along the way. Additionally, we also just switched our master insurance policy for our condo association, and he was incredibly helpful in educating me about the process and connecting with one of their partner organizations to secure new - and more comprehensive - coverage at the same price we were paying before. The whole agency has been incredible to work with, very friendly, and prompt with all communication and in answering my questions. I would highly recommend them! read more

I have been working with Transit Insurance for over 25 years - first with Tony and now primarily with his son, Andy. First and foremost, this team is highly informed and skilled on all insurance products and are able to provide balanced and agenda-free choices. However, what makes them and this company different is their attention to detail and their willingness to go the extra mile. Whether it's proactively bringing new opportunities into the mix or happily working with car dealers to ensure all the paperwork is done without any prompting. They are just a great partner to any family or business and I couldn't recommend them more strongly. read more

Meh is about right. I used Transit for home insurance for about 6 years. They were terrible communicators- I kept getting notices about a home inspection that looked like advertisements, and I never received a call or email from Transit, although they have my and my husband's contact info. When I reached out to them, they told me yes, that was a legit notice I had received, and my insurance was on the verge of being cancelled if I did not schedule an inspection. Gee, what great service. I have since cancelled my policy with them- during which I discovered they were charging us for earthquake coverage, which my new insurance company thought was odd. To recap: absolutely no outreach or customer service. read more

I wrote a review here a few years ago at a time when my insurance was just paper in a drawer, and after I had been with Transit for 50 or so years. Recently I had to use my insurance to make a claim on damage to my car. From my contact with Andy reporting the damage, to the time I got my car back fixed, from Transit Insurance Agency to Insurance Company to body shop, everything went smoothly. Communication was excellent, not only with Andy, which was always good, but also with the Insurance Company and the body shop. Writing a very positive review for Transit Insurance Agency is a very easy thing to do! read more

For the last 30 years, I have been a client of Transit Insurance Agency. During those years, I have had great customer service, positive experiences and been happy with the level of services. What makes them different - every time you call their office someone answers the phone. You do not have to leave messages and wait for a callback. Over the years I have had claims and they have been helpful with the paperwork. In addition, they honest with their answers and fair. As a business owner, I would highly recommend this organization. read more

Andy and the folks at Transit Insurance Agency are top notch. You always hope you never have to make that call for an issue or a claim. When it happened to me they were attentive and responsive. All my questions and concerns were answered and my issue was resolved that day. I will also note that there was no out of pocket expense for my claim. I would highly recommend that you give them an opportunity to earn your business. You will not be disappointed. read more

No one wants to think about something happening to their car or house, and no one wants to spend money unnecessarily. But Transit Insurance Agency had me covered when I needed it. They were so easy to work with from the moment I opened a policy with them, to the time I needed them most. When a tree fell on my car I called them up and got step by step help in how to proceed with my claims. I received multiple followups to make sure I was easily able to navigate the process. And multiple people that I spoke with during the claim process mentioned to me that I should thank my agent for how great my coverage was. Thank you Transit Insurance Agency! So if you are looking for premium support during those times you are too stressed to think, Transit Insurance Agency is the way to go. read more

I usually hate dealing with insurance companies, because... let's face it... who likes to pay for something they don't usually use? However, I was referred to Andy at Transit Insurance Agency by a friend, and I have to say..... Whether it was refinancing my home, handling a glass claim, or buying a new car, he has made the transition so seamless!!! Thank you!! read more

I have been using TRANSIT INSURANCE for almost 20 years and I am very happy. It's hard to believe that I pay a lot less for my automobile insurance than a lot of people with less expensive cars and less insurance pay for theirs. My automobile and homeowners insurance are with the same company and that was a huge savings. TRANSIT INSURANCE informed me about that and a few other cost savers. They are very knowledgeable and have great customer service. read more

My dad started doing business with Transit more than 60 years ago, and I have followed suit. I have insured my home and my vehicles with this family business for 40 years, and have never been sorry. Very knowledgeable, very friendly, and prices and service that cannot be beat. When Tony or Andy tells you that is the best price, they don't just mean the lowest. They mean the best insurance with the most reliable companies that are the best for ME and my needs. They never try to sell me something I don't need. I trust them like no other company I have ever done business with. read more

In a world overwhelmingly dominated by faceless corporations, as an economist and entrepreneur, I am absolutely delighted that I and the other consumers in the Massachusetts insurance marketplace have the fantastic opportunity of working with Transit Insurance Agency. I moved to Boston in 2003 and bought my first car up here in 2004. At the advice of a friend (a satisfied Transit Insurance Agency client), I called Tony for some auto insurance. I've been a loyal, evangelistic client myself ever since, and let me tell you, everything they advertise is true. They'll get you great prices on great insurance, and they exist on extraordinary customer service. That's extremely rare these days, but what's even rarer, is a company with those credentials, that's been family owned and operated since 1937. I'm from Kentucky, where everyone is friendly, and the kind of relationship I have with Tony, Lois, and Andy, is still the greatest that I could possibly expect from any business that I'm paying to do anything. Not only do they knock their "job" out of the park, but Tony schools me in the ways of life every time I go in there, Lois is the most pleasant individual on the planet (both on the phone and in person), and Andy is just the friggin man. Thanks to him, I'll be buying auto, home, business, and life insurance through Transit Insurance Agency for as far as I can see into the future. From what I understand, that kind of awesomeness is wicked hard to come by up in these parts. read more
