Transformations TMS is under the umbrella of GRW Health in addition to Harmony (which does their ketamine treatment). Do not ever go to this company. I saw Amanda Keffer, a NP who worked with Dr. Wakim.
First, about the business, you cannot ever reach them by phone unless making a new appointment and even then it's extremely difficult. Even the pharmacy they prescribe to cannot get them to call back (they told me that). The turnover is extremely high is that is any indication of the quality of the business, and this is a business, not a practice.
Amanda Keffer provided TMS but didn't follow the weekly check-in protocol. Also, regarding TMS, when the month-long treatment ended, I still needed ongoing treatment, but my insurance wouldn't cover it. They agreed to do a sliding scale. I was unemployed and they wanted to charge hundreds of dollars a day with about a $50 dollar discount.
She was completely unreachable all the time even to the secretaries. In a medical emergency, she never got back to me. She violated HIPPA and lied to me on multiple occasions. She would have her office tell me she wasn't seeing patients anymore and terf me off to someone else, who then directly told me that was a lie (he got fired). They magically she was seeing people again and would see me.
With ketamine, she was constantly trying to end my treatment despite choosing to work at a company that provided ketamine treatments. She told me multiple times that she and Dr. Wakim were worried about the safety of more than short-term ketamine use despite there being no medical literature regarding that in respected scientific journals nor any FDA warnings. Finally, according to the pharmacist they worked with, one patient gave a doctor there a really hard time about ketamine home treatment, so they ended it for everyone. I received a letter in the mail lying again about the reason. The FDA "warning" stated there was not an indication of ketamine being physically addictive. They didn't mention any physical harm. It simply stated ketamine could cause mental dependence, meaning one might like it and want to keep using it. Dependence is not addiction. They gave a list of medical practices for ketamine treatment, but openly stated they didn't know if they actually provided that treatment. They still provide IV ketamine therapy, which is no more helpful than home therapy in my opinion but costs about $450-500 for one hour of treatment instead of about $ 110 a month for daily pills. The only reason to get an IV treatment would be if one was actively suicidal.
This company was taken over by a fantastic doctor who really cared about his patients, but retired. It is extremely unfortunate to have watched it run itself into the ground with terrible practitioners and staff.
Don't think management will call back either, I left over 6 messages for them and never heard anything. Their phone message actually refers patients to facebook if they have questions for the practice. Talk about a massive invasion of privacy. read more
