I've had a family member living here for about a year and a half now. Originally I was planning to…read moremove them elsewhere when I was unhappy with the care they were receiving. But in recent months my grandmother has had a significant change of heart and says things have turned around tremendously with newer management that has taken over. I've seen a great improvement in my grandmothers health as well as her overall attitude towards the facility. She is also able to receive therapy services here which she absolutely loves. I've even met the therapy team who are all fantastic. I would highly recommend this as a long term placement or even a place for rehab for yourself or family.

I do not have enough time or energy to fully express my disappointment with this facility. They do…read morehave some staff here that are caring and friendly but as a whole this is place is a complete and total joke. My brother has been here for 3 months and has seen a Dr once for less that a minute. They contract out to Drs who don't actually work at this facility but will stop by to "take care" of the patients, consisting mostly of reading the notes but the nurses. It can take days or even weeks for them to get prescriptions or medicines or the care they need. My brother has had to visit the ER twice since being admitted here because of the negligent care. At the beginning of May, 2 months ago we "started" the discharge process. I was told a certain meeting needed to take place before they could order his equipment that he cannot be discharged without. 3 weeks went by, the meeting never took place and when I kept expressing my frustration I was told well it didn't actually need to happen and they could order the equipment. So I waited the 2 weeks (I was told that the equipment orders can take up to 2 weeks to approve) then called the equipment companies and was then told that one order (of a hospital bed) had been placed and was submitted to Medicaid for approval but the other order had not been placed because they were missing important details. Apria (the equipment company) told me that they had immediately contacted the Dr (the one that has never actually provided care to my brother but had to "order" the equipment since this facility does not have a Dr on staff) to let them know what was missing. Oh and the missing information is the required Medicare page and the prescription settings for his equipment...which you would think would be pretty much common sense to provide. Unless they don't know what they are doing. Apparently the communication between this Dr and the facility is so amazing that if I hadn't let the social worker know, they would never have known that anything was wrong and we would have been waiting for weeks for equipment that was never ordered. I spent the next 2 weeks arguing with her (me: they don't have what they need - her: that's not what my system says) then the next two weeks being told it was being handled. Last week I was told what needed to be sent was sent. I just hung up with Apria, they said they have not heard from this facility since May 28 and they still do not have the necessary information to submit the order to Medicaid. Oh - Did I mention that this facility is getting paid by Medicaid for every day my brother is a resident there? Two months and counting of them making money off of the Medicaid system and giving their BS excuses. I won't even get into what a joke their visitation policies are, or how at one point they were only allowing visitors outside but put my brother in a room where the only access for visits was an internal courtyard where visitors are not allowed. If you hate uncle Hank - send him here for sure. But only if you aren't paying the bill!! If you love your family member and value your sanity, this is not the place for them.

My husband called for Ensure protein drink 7 times in one day because he never received it, even though they said, "I'll be right back." His kidney doctor had recommended it but apparently his opinion didn't matter. I went to King Sooper and bought some and put it in a cooler full of ice and took it to him. When we left to bring him home, an RN hooked him up to the portable oxygen tank...... and never turned the oxygen ON. He rode for half an hour home with zero oxygen. By the time we got home, he nearly collapsed in the garage with his walker, trying to get in the house. It isn't like this was just any old business this is supposed to be a HEALTH CARE facility. If you have a loved one in this facility, visit EVERY day and take and problems they are having seriously.

Patients are told that there concerns and questions will be answered but no one ever gets back to them or followed up on. The patients are given their food in their rooms. The dining hall is reserved for patients who need help eating. And the food is horrible. I would recommend anyone looking for a rehab facility to look elsewhere, this was not a good choice.
