They deliver quality home health care. If you think your aide is good, they will get you someone that you think is fantastic! I cannot say enough good things about the last 6 months. My mother with dementia ended up going to an emergency room, and then immediately to a memory care facility. Regardless of the fact that we did not see this coming, extended family home care continued to bill for 2 weeks worth of services which was about 1,200+ only because they were not notified of cancelling services. We had two other home care agencies providing services and neither one of them had this unethical billing policy. On top of that, some of the caregivers did not seem to provide quality care. And also had inconsistent caregiving services, with some cancelling last minute or did not even had the right skill level to care for my mother.

Early on, there was one caregiver who wasn't very motivated but when this was brought to management's attention, a different caregiver was sent and she was much better. I procured services from visiting angels in this location to care for my brother after surgery. My…read morebrother got out the of the hopsital 2 days later than planned due to complications. Called the care coodinator as as soon as I found out and she told me this happens all the time and that they would start billing me on the day they discharged him. The care coordinator also shared that the assigned care taker would be calling my brother in the morning to plan out the details, and would call me if my brother did not respond. Upon not receiving a call from Visiting Angels, I called them and the care coordinator shared the following: 1/care takers do call clients, 2/clients need to call the office, since we do not call clients, 3/you will be billed the 21 hours that were planned for your brother during the additional days he stayed at the hospital. I of course disputed the bill. They called me the next day to share that they recognize their care coordinator made the mistakes pointed out, but that their contract says they should charge me the hours. I killed the contract immediately. This is a business run by crooks with no empathy for extraneous circumstances that cannot be controlled. They will hide behind what they can without any care in the world to charge you. I would highly recommend you not ever use Visiting Angels.

The NP actually said there wasn't evidence of cognitive decline after their first meeting where my mother only remembered one surgery, forgetting a mastectomy and having hardware put into a broken arm. We get vitals and prescriptions and that's it. We are not supported in her dementia journey at all. By this point we should have a diagnosis as to her type of dementia and possibly resources to help manage it. None of that has been made available to us. Her blood pressure is good though.

It sounds like you didn't read my post. I explained very clearly how my friend communicated his desires. Bloom themselves created the Medical Power of Attorney and passed out hard copies at the meeting I described - to seven other providers. The Medical side of Bloom continually says it cannot communicate with the Hospice side of Bloom because their computer systems are different and don't communicate. Not one Bloom employee bothered to picked up a phone to communicate across departments until I asked. Telling me how I feel is rude and unprofessional. It comes across as condescending. Having someone respond with platitudes and CYA corporate speak to me and so many other posts only validates our shared experiences and opinions. Too little too late. Dissatisfaction ends up in a public forum when the mistakes are made in the private conversations (or avoidance thereof). I think the expression is the horse is already out of the barn.

Hospice review We…read moreare so pleased that we chose the Collier hospice for my mother's end of life care. She had a wonderful nurse, Ann, while she was at home. She visited weekly and helped my mother adjust to the end of life. As her care became more involved Ann was there each step of the way supporting my mother and our family. I have never med someone who was so kind and understanding and competent. Finally My mother had to spend her final days in-patient at their facility. She raved over how quiet and beautiful it was. Again the staff was so very kind and supportive of both my mother and our family. The Chaplin was very helpful with family dynamics. Even the chief was wonderful, providing her with warm chocolate chip cookies which gave her much enjoyment in her final days. What a gift it was to have this organization available to care for my mother and our family at this hard time. As a retired nurse I am picky and could not fina any fault, just very competent care! I can not recommend this hospice more. 100/100.

Staff have told me that the management has been awful to them and has very high turnover. Plus the fire back in 2016 where safety measures were not in place. Thingds havent changed too much as there is not much additional oversight and support to make sure the people in the services are safe. Low pay too.
